We called my doctor at home and he suggested I go to the ER. Sentara was the closest hospital. We checked into the ER they were fantastic and we waited about 5 minutes until I had the EKG and then maybe another 5 minutes until they had a room for me in the ER. The staff in the ER were awesome and very professional. I was admitted within 90 minutes and had a room on 5 west. The staff on 5 west were all professional and kind and made me comfortable in a matter of minutes. The cardiology nurse practitioner arrived in the AM and walked me through what was going to happen and then Dr. Alanna arrived and walked me through it again. They were very efficient and professional. Went down to the cardio cath lab and the staff there were amazing as well. I did end up staying two days and not once did I have an incident with anyone. We did read the reviews and were a bit concerned however we didn't know where else to go and we are glad that we stayed. Awesome job to all the staff and we appreciate the love and kindness you showed my family.

for personal medical issues it's been a good hospital But several years ago when my child had a…read moremental health emergency, my parental rights were threatened right after intake, and staff spent the night promising me they were going to take my kid from me and place them in a home 4 hours away. I spent all night crying on the hospital floor while staff woke my kid up at 11pm and then 2 am to assess them. The next morning the hospital discharged us and pretended like nothing ever happened. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life and provided insight about how our kids can get lost in the system when the wrong people in charge. I'm a great dad and I still get angry everytime I think about this hospital and that event.

ALL of the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help, from the second you walk in the door to getting all the way back to a room. The wait was pretty standard for a busy Saturday afternoon, but they were sure to always keep me posted of what was going on while i was waiting, always asking if I needed anything and if i was comfortable enough. You'll save yourself a lot of time because the signs inside can be confusing. It's an old facility so it's easy to get lost. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some people don't like older facilities. It doesn't have the bells and whistles the newer ones have but it's clean and functional so I don't have an issue with being here.

Dr. Maximum was amazing though infertility and my physicals and brought hope to us when we were feeling down through years of battling infertility. My PCP, Heather Ball, is located at the Valley View Office and has been the best doctor I've ever had. She stood up for me when other doctors were calling me crazy and kept searching for answers even when I wanted to give up. Without her, I wouldn't not be as stable as I am today and she truly was amazing to work with! I've enjoyed working with Lewis Gale as a whole!

I wanted to update my review to reflect our most recent disaster. Our family has now experienced a…read morenightmare that was preventable. Money shifts treatment of patients. My loved one was supposed to have a "safe discharge." She didn't get that. She was released without anyone being notified. Imagine having someone you care about "out there" in Virginia, but you have no idea where. If you care about someone, don't send them to this facility. Having a plan and being the point of contact isn't enough.
