I took a day trip from Indianapolis to visit the orchard after discovering them on FB. I picked up some delicious Melrose and Shizuka apples, as well as some fresh raspberries, peaches, and tomatoes. The baked goods called my name; I had to purchase a Dutch Apple Pie and Lemon Crumb Pie. All of the above have already been tasted by my family and are delicious! This is definitely a trip worth taking and I will definitely be coming back to do some berry and apple picking with the family. Thank you Rittman!

I made an awesome cobbler. They had so many rows of strawberries, but the people working there were able to point to less-picked areas. Unfortunately, the raspberries weren't as robust at the time, so I wasn't able to pick any at the time. You aren't able to pick cherries, but they sell them at the market as well as a bunch of other produce, ice cream, baked goods, jams, etc and there's a winery next door if you need post-picking flight. Toddlers are free and we used a coupon on their website for $2 off of the rest of our admissions. Right at the entry, there is a small concession stand and area to buy pumpkins. I would've loved some fall flavored pumpkin snacks, but it was more of a simple, casual selection. There are picnic tables placed throughout the grounds. I had some snacks for the littles, so it was nice to have a place to park the family. There is so much to do here! We ventured into the corn maze, let the kids play on the hay bales and slide down the slides. There is a petting zoo and they provide feed if you'd like to feed them as well. The farm market is fun and has lots of house made syrups and snacks, and the orchard is full of delicious fresh apples. The pumpkin patch was also full of pumpkins perfect for carving, so we made sure to get a couple of those. There are also a lot of great activities for kids here- hay rides, apple cannons, train rides, corn sandbox, and more. I do wish they were making the apple cider donuts and kettle corn fresh, but even the packaged stuff was tasty. Definitely a fun way to spend a crisp fall morning, would recommend for sure!

My toddler loved the experience of looking for apples and playing on the playground. The playground equipment needs a fresh coat of paint and some tlc. We also enjoyed the little store that have several things for sale such as jam, pepper jellys, hot sauces, icecream, random old school trinkets and toys, and more.

Some food items are in glass refrigerators. There are lots of jars of pickles, salsas, pickled eggs and more since gardens are not producing much the first of June. I heard that strawberries came available. Howard's also has an area full of flowers of all kinds. Located near Kenston Schools, Howard's is easy to find. Look for the cute barn and flower buildings, the apple orchard and the gravel lot.

They serve donuts, ice cream, and various drinks, etc. Outside, there is a creek and you can work on your bike. There are mountain biking trails outside of this cafe in Austin Badger Park. They have a station that you can hang your bike from to make it easier to change a tire or what have you. They also have an air pump. We really enjoy walking the trails, but to ride a bike on the trails would be exhausting since no part of this park is flat...it's all hills. It used to be a golf course. If you bike here, your quadriceps will get a great workout. If you have bad knees, like me, you sit and watch others ride the hilly trails. It's a natural place to take the family in Montville Township.
