I am giving a rating based off just the business model itself. I called to get a quote for a standard tub and surround replacement, nothing fancy, nothing extra. When they called me, the first rep told me they usually don't do rentals (i own but it is not my primary) because most people don't want to invest that kind of money into a rental. I explained I just needed a bathtub replacement and it HAS to be done whether I would like to invest it or not. She agreed to get me over the the "field rep" for an estimate. This person told me again they usually don't do rentals because the starting is $12k. $12k for a standard tub replacement? The same tub is less that $1k at a hardware store. They definitely don't want any business from lower class folk just needing simple fixes. I didn't request a full remodel or any extra bells and whistles. $12k starting is absolutely astronomical but I suppose weeding out us pheasants is a good business model for them. read more

On 1/31/2025 I signed a (pressure sale) contract with Bath R Us. On 2/26/2025 I notified Bath R Us that I wanted to cancel this contract. At that time, I was becoming more and more skeptical regarding the trust worthiness of this company. This was after they were here for the third time to measure for the walk in shower and after they informed me on 2/22/2025 there would need to be a seam in the shower wall. Unfortunately, I was told it was too late to cancel. This $29,034.00 bathroom remodel included replacing a corner built-in jetted tub with a walk in shower. Until the time of the installation (5/5/2025 - 5/09/25), I believed I would be getting a corner walk in shower that would fit in the space where the built-in tub was. Unfortunately I received a ridiculously narrow / rectangle walk in shower. (Rather than getting a corner shower, the total shower base / shower floor is long and narrow: approx. 25 inches by 64 inches.) Note: The length and width of the shower base is blank in the contract and at no time was a sketch or drawing of the remodel provided, nor were the shower dimensions disclosed. Mistakenly when I signed the contract on 1/31/2025, I trusted Bath R Us to provide the bathroom remodel I had envisioned and communicated to them. At no time was I told the front of the shower would be in three panels. I am fairly certain that if I were to use this shower (which I will not) that it will leak given the gaps between the shower frame and the shower door. The day after the remodel (5/10/2025) I noticed the rubber strip along the side of the door is falling off, hence the shower door will no longer shut. Also the "slipperiness" and the slope of the shower base makes it a safety factor. Other issues I have are: No formal quote / cost breakdown was provided. There is a gap between the new knee wall and vanity with incomplete vinyl flooring and trim in this space. No grab bar was installed. The lighting fixture was not centered over the new vanity. No literature was provided regarding the plumbing fixtures, the weight capacity of the shower seat, the cleaning and care of the shower walls, etc. I now need to pay to get another company to remove this ridiculously narrow shower and get a new walk in shower installed. So very frustrating and so extremely unfair. read more

We recently had a walk in shower installed. We have a pink tiles in our bathroom (60's) and the sales person assured us, this would not be a problem when it came to installing the shower. It was a problem! We had many tiles broken and now we are stuck replacing them with a different color and we have to find some to do the tile work. After weeks of calling, we finally talked to someone who said sorry, not our problem. They had great reviews and we wish we would have checked with the BBB, they had complaints about bath R us. read more

CONSUMER BEWARE: This Company should not be installing shower units.. I hired this company after all the hype on what they can do for me and promises. My job started on July 8,2024 and wasn't completed till Oct. 2024. So much for the 4 day install. I had 4 different crews and none of them had any professional experience. They manage to cut through my floor joist over 1/2 way. Installed 3 different shower bases due to lack of experience installing the correct way. The first base was installed off center, the second base was installed in the correct direction to find out the joist didn't have to be cut . A subfloor section also cut out 12 x 20 for the initial install which wasn't needed if it was installed correctly.. The 3rd base was installed due to the drum trap that was installed. The walls panels/plywood panels all had to be torn back off due to incorrect installation with not being level. They didn't get the proper permits needed. Found out a T or Drum trap was installed which is prohibited in the State of Ohio. The crews didn't know local plumbing or structural codes that are used in the State of Ohio. I had to constantly watch the crew to ensure they weren't cutting corners. I even had to go to small claims court. I would give a 0 if that was an option. read more

Used them for a complete bathroom remodel $19,000.00 which I totally regret. First of all scheduling was terrible they said they would schedule two guys to start on 8/16/2025 and should be finished by 8/18/2025. Well that didn't happen. One guy showed up and said his partner didn't want to work and doesn't know why they were booked to install on the weekend. He started the tear out that day and didn't come back until Monday with the other guy they did finish the shower install but told me I was going to have to wait 24 hrs. before I could use it. Then they came back on Wednesday and did the vanity, toilet , and medicine cabinet (which was recommended that I save money by purchasing myself so we did.) There is so much more I could say (not any of good) all I can say is do your due diligence and select a local vendor that someone else has already used and give you a good referral. I think they spent more time driving back and forth from Amherst OH then they did working on my job. read more

And we had an upstairs bathroom that was leaking into a downstairs bathroom and had them quote us 14,000 for repairs. Other quotes came in under seven and the difference was they promised they could do it in one or two days. Seven months later and over 15 visit to our house because the door didn't fit because the surround was inaccurately measured, etc So instead of getting the service that I needed quickly it took longer cost more and the repair has not lasted we still have a leak bath R us -- is worthless!! Don't waste your money! I've remodeled many homes and been through this many times with private contractors and even handyman who did a much better job than this company read more

Service was excellent. The only reason I didn't give a 5 was I felt I was rushed and intimidated by the sales rep. I didn't get any type of breakdown just an amount. When I asked about $1000 promotion he said it was already included. Talked me out of the 18 months 0% interest. I ended up with a construction loan. Otherwise I love my new walk in shower. I just have to paint. It took 2 and 1/2 days to complete. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Run go a different direction. You will regret choosing them. ONLY GIVING 5 STARS for their worker Doug who installed our new bathroom. He went above and beyond to make sure our bathroom was what we wanted and he absolutely deserves the 5 stars. BUT If I could give another rating just for the company, sadly I would only give 3 stars and wouldn't recommend people to use this company. Ron the salesman wasn't thorough in explaining what they do and what they don't do. Because of this there were some issues during the process that were a huge headache. Including being lied too about a linen closet being put in. Straight told me it wasn't possible when in the end, Doug handled it just fine. For the price tag we paid, i would've thought Baths r us would be more polished in the way they handle their business. Ultimately happy with the finished product but so exhausted from the process. 100% the ONLY Reason that we did not sign for a 30k bathroom remodel Is because of the salesman, Joe something was an absolute A-hole! The most unprofessional man I've ever met in sales. Wouldn't listen to my wife or I. Constantly interrupting me with his "well I've been doing this 15 or so years". Shut up and listen to your clients! Seriously! That only tells me that he hasn't learned anything in sales in that many years. His lack of professionalism put serious doubt in my confidence of the company as a whole. So we didn't go with them. Would not recommend. The project took longer than expected by days. They broke a pipe and I am still waiting on the reimbursement I was promised. They charged personal items unrelated to the project to me. They gave me the wrong size toilet and initially told me there was only one size, before fixing it. Upon completion, the sink leaked, luckily we caught it that day before it got even worse. We knew that the dry wall was on us after they finished but the extend of work needed after was not expected. What was to be a 2 day install turned into 3 because the seat had not arrived. Day 4, when we were cleared to use the shower, we came downstairs to water all over our kitchen floor and a soaked ceiling. The shower had leaked. I contacted the number we were given, and after the original installer failed to show up or call us, they sent another installer out who had to cut a hole in our kitchen ceiling. He discovered that PVC joints had not been glued when installed. Along with those problems, the installers left handprints all over the shower doors with the compound which we were not able to remove, and the door was not staying closed. We then had to wait for another crew to come clean relevel the doors. 3 visits later from that same crew and much stress and mess later, they were not able to fix the ceiling because they could not match the pattern. We ended up hiring our own contractor to come in and fix the kitchen ceiling. Bath R Us did finally cover the cost of repairs. Moving on from the disaster install. The abondance of compound used to seal seams turned yellow. Bath R Us sent out a crew the pull and replace. 2 more days with no shower. Again the compound turned yellow all over the shower. The crew came back and we requested white to just be done with it. 2 more days with no shower. This has been a very disappointing outcome and not worth the $13+ thousand dollars we invested. 2 star for product quality read more

I was quite nervous for this reno because it was in a basement bathroom framed 28 years ago and never finished, therefore nothing was easy BUT Kenny and his crew made it look easy and did a beautiful job. They were knowledgable, problem solvers, clean, and detailed oriented. Can't get better than that. I personally would recommend highly. AVOID! They don't even deserve 1 star. 2 years ago... Yes 2 years we started a project with this company. Before the job was even started, we were told, give us a 5 star rating on Google and we'll give you an additional discount. This is how they get their high review rating. The first time they came to install the shower, the door was too small, it was put in backwards, it leaked out the bottom, when the door swung open, a waterfall of water went to the floor, and the black was all scratched up from being installed. They said, we'll get everything fixed. Well... This included 4 to 5 doors, once again another one was too small, another one the door was coming off the hinge, so they had to drill a screw in to make it usable, one time they came to install the door, but didn't bring the door with them. The caulk in the shower quickly turned yellow, they knicked a wall putting in one of the doors, the caulk job is all messy, they put caulk in the window portion of the door instead of rubber (we know that will result in mold at some point and the tech admitted it shouldn't have been done like that). We went with a shower curtain for months. When I called to voice my concerns with the shotty, unreliable work, I was laughed at and told, if you get the shower in the end that you paid for, isn't that all you want? Not really...I can't be certain the work was done correctly behind the walls because they couldn't even figure out how to measure a door. To this day, we have a door that was put in, however, it squeaks when it opens, it's tough to close, there's scratches from installation, the knick on the wall is still there along with the messy, yellow caulk. So no, in the end, I did not get the shower (I paid way too much for be honest), but I'd like to have a functioning shower after 2 years of back and forth, so I gave up. Oh and by the way, don't try to get any answers from the owner. I was told everything goes through management. I have attached pictures to show you what you can avoid by picking a different company that has real reviews and not paid for ones. read more

Would not use this company. Sales rep was arrogant and even though they sell themselves as bathrooms on a budget, yeah, if your budget is $50k!! The rep only showed us top of the line, very expensive cabinets and hardware. Nothing in between. He wouldn't listen and totally discounted anything I asked about and then quoted us $50k or more if we wanted to do the project. Told them no and glad we did. Had another contractor look and gave us great ideas and quoted less than $20k for what we wanted! Stay away from this company. I'm glad we did. read more

I love my new shower!! Tony was an awesome installer! This older home gave him some challenges, but he stayed positive and in an attitude of solutions! Andre came and did the fine tuning to ensure I was satisfied 100%! The communication with office staff was excellent. Only small concern I had was with the owner/manager, his style of communication was not customer service oriented with more of a "excuse-blaming attitude" with a part issue.
