A bit dark and lifeless inside, but the young man that helped me actually made me smile. He was a bit quiet and reserved, but articulate and personable enough to handle the job. (No fault in that from my perspective) I came in to get a battery replacement on an ancient iPhone 8, which works just fine for my needs and the young man told me that the Technician that would perform the replacement would be in at 11 (It was 9:15 at the time), so I went and grabbed some breakfast, stopped by to say, "What's up" to my Sister and came on back. I don't know if the 2 young men were friends prior to working at Batteries Plus, but the Technician was another young man that made the Artist and Hippie in me smile. He had piercings everywhere and probably also unseen tattoo's, but that type of thing doesn't move me in the slightest - Can you do the job!? He had a similar personality and disposition as his counterpart and he said to give him an hour to work...I did, came back and my antiquated iPhone 8 now lives on!! read more

It's 940 on a Saturday morning. Not a soul is at the store. The outside says they open at 9. It's me and an older gentleman waiting outside. Definitely not a good look. Feels like it'll be this same with service inside. UPDATE: OMG. The lights are off but the door is unlocked. I called and no answer. The alarm is going off.. an older gentleman walked in and the products are open for taking. This is not a good look at all. Wonder if someone just quit on the spot. read more

Good for replacing watch batteries, but do NOT get your phone screen repaired here. It was not immediately evident that my iPhone's circuit board had been damaged, but I had to sign that everything was fine before leaving the store. When I got home and it would not connect to the WiFi, I sadly realized that something was wrong. read more

Brandon is the Man-don! Woot woot! I needed an iPhone repair. I found this spot online and feel lucky to have done so. Firstly; the store is extremely clean. Social distancing was organized and applied. Brandon explained to me that I could do a partial repair, where the phone would function, or a slightly more expensive repair, to where the phone is basically new again. I go through a lot of phones, I've never had a shop give me options for repair before and was grateful for his honesty and putting the situation into terms I could understand. I went with the full repair. Brandon was quick, efficient, and professional. During his time tidying up the last part of the repair job, I sat and waited in the lobby. Several people came in and were immediately attended to for various reasons by the other gentleman working that day. Both employees were friendly, fast, and informative. If you need a phone repair skip the kiosks and plaza shops; these guys really know what they are doing, will tell you what they are doing, and offer options to suit your needs. read more

Brought in a watch for a battery change. Website says they can do this. They open my watch and swap the battery but then give it back to me in 2 pieces because they cannot get the back cover back on the watch. Tell me to take it somewhere else to get it fixed.?????????WTF???????? 10 dollar battery change becomes a 30 dollar cost at walmart to buy a replacement watch. The absolute worst customer service ever. It does not matter what time of the day you call you will most likely get an inept, uneducated rude person who answers the phone who and disconnects the call without so much as a "Goodbye, See ya! Thanks" or anything resembling a salutation. In person it's no better unfortunately. There is however one bright person in the building who understands communication and will try to accommodate a customer. Unfortunately He only works Monday thru Friday until 7pm. I personally would not even waste your time attempting to get anything done at this location. By far I think this has been the worst customer experience that I have ever experienced. I walked in and there were 5 customers in line and after almost 10 min of standing in line I still had not even been acknowledged and had not even seen the 2 employees that were apparently behind the counter. I finally went over to one of the employees and asked if I could ask him a quick question before I wasted anymore time in that place bc I had a pretty good feeling that they were incredibly lazy, did not give two shits about trying to help customers and we're clearly not even going to attempt to fix my sons Iphone screen in a timely manner. I was correct and the gentleman rudely lifted his head and said he was way too busy with 3 other repairs and there was no way he would be able to fix my phone in the 3 hours that I had to wait while I was at a soccer tournament down the road. Pretty funny considering I have previously gone to the same store but the location in Decatur and they were more busy with many more phones to fix and had mine fixed in about 1 1/2 hours and were super friendly and helpful and acknowledged every single customer that walked in the door with a polite Update; went to store in Decatur and had an awesome experience again. read more

Unless you need a specialized battery immediately, you will spend far less to buy online. I needed a Plantronics telephone headset battery that Plantronics sells for $30. Batteries Plus after market battery was an overpriced $25 and I bought it online for $4.90 with free shipping. Batteries Plus certainly doesn't use the extra profit to hire quality employees because the rude dude hung up the phone when I asked questions to determine if their $25 battery was worth the extra money. I just left this facility very displeased. Intially, the customer representative Austin Allen appeared friendly and willing to help. I went in for a iPhone battery replacement. My old battery had swell to the point of pushing my screen up. I showed him where the screen had been pushed up. Before requesting any services, I asked if he would be able to change the battery and also make sure the screen was sealed back to its normal position. He assured me that he could do so within 5 or 10 minutes. GREAT! When i returned back to pick the phone up, the battery had been changed but the screen had not been sealed properly. When I asked Austin Allen if he could seal it, he then said that he has nothing to seal the screen down. NOT what he told me before the repair. He then, almost instantly says, "I could put your old battery back in". I gladly agreed. Now, he gave me my phone back with missing parts and the screen almost completely unattached. When I brought the phone in, my screen was lifting, when he returned it, my screen was unattached and missing the bottom 2 screws. He said it had no screpws but the screw where holding it down when I bought it in. Very disgusted, I went somewhere else, got the battery, the screen sealed, and they threw in a 3 layer protective case all for $20+ less than what I was prepared to pay Austin. So in the end, I will not patronize any Battery plus stores every again as long as there are AUSTIN ALLEN'S working for them. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!! read more
