IMPORTANT NOTE - most Battery Plus locations will not replace batteries in any iPhone older than an iPhone-10. This location is the only Batteries Plus location that will still service older iPhones - like my iPhone8. I did find another store that would service iPhone8's but their price was substantially higher than the price at Batteries Plus MONDAY - Scheduled an appointment for replacement of a battery in an iPhone. Got an email confirming my appointment. I arrived at the appointed time and was told that they didn't have a technician on Monday and couldn't do the battery replacement. In their defense (at least partially), they did try calling an hour before my appointment but their call was blocked by my call-blocking software. Warning - don't rely on their email confirmations. TUESDAY - I made an appointment and returned the next day. The technician (assistant manager) was prepared and had the replacement battery at the counter - ready to install. He said the installation would take 30-45 minutes. I returned 45 minutes later and the installation was complete. Wife's car battery stopped working today. It was like 25 degrees and she walked from the Verizon store to here. Dustin changed her key FOB battery and walked all the way back down to her car to see if that worked. It didn't but he walked back to the store and got an X2 jumper and jumped her car. Anyone who knows me knows I'm VERY particular re: products and service. When it's great I tell everyone. I cannot say enough about this business. In random order as thoughts come to me: Pros Dropped my phone late Wed night minutes before they closed. I called. They answered literally 6 min til closing. I didn't get rushed. I didn't get pushed to make a quick decision. I was advised of all options and potential hiccups as if the call came into their shop at noon. I was advised if I made an appointment online I could get $10 off the price of my screen repair. Dropped it face down on the concrete. I was so sad! Noted and drove home after my workout class to hop online and get it done. After my initial phone call I had ZERO doubt in my mind about this service. The next day I called ahead - can I get in earlier by an hour? No problem. See you at 330. I walk in and seriously I was treated as if I was the most important customer in the world. My associate trouble shot my phone. Did basic testing. Advised me of next steps. Asked me to come back in an hour. No problem. While he was spot checking my device I noticed other customers coming in and getting the same impeccable service I was receiving. So far so good if not better than I expected. Ran errands came in at 430 and my associate shared we had a problem. My black screen I wanted for my iPhone 6 plus "wasn't taking" to my device. I had options. Options. Music to my ears. I could wait to get the new screen ordered to come in, I could get the white screen they offered for a discount as it wasn't my first choice for my black device or I could take the white screen on the device as a temporary, they will order the black screen, when it comes in I return for a quick swap. How about that for service? Are kidding me I have OPTIONS? Who knew. :) I took the white screen, shake it up a little, provide me with a discount and make me super happy. $10 off per the coupon and a discount for a white screen over the traditional black. All in an hour. While I gave permission to install the white screen I was able to witness a ton of other customers come in for fob battery replacements and they were in and out in a flash. Same impeccable service. This shop is just incredible. The staff is in full sync. My own associate shared he'd prob be gone when I returned for my device and he stayed to finish the job. I heard one of the other associates thanking him for staying. This team has it put together. Each one made small easy conversational talk with their customers. It wasn't pained it wasn't difficult it was normal and easy. Lord other businesses can learn to do the same. Hooked on this team. Their operations was clean. Their service was beyond outstanding to everyone. I witnessed an up sale which was a nice win for both. Best decision I made was calling them the minute I dropped my phone and was so sad under what felt like awful conditions. I was traveling with my daughter and had just picked up a rental car from the airport. When starting the car I got a "key fob battery low" warning. I had no clue where to go nor how I was going to get reimbursed from the rental company. Battery+ was suggested to me and so I went to the Gahanna, OH location. The gentleman (Christopher) that helped me was extremely quick, efficient and kind. After I mentioned I was from Seattle and this was a rental car, he said, "It's on the house." Absolute 5-star rating for the Morse Rd. location. Wife often runs an air pump off of her car battery for long periods when she goes paddleboarding and had done it one day while the car was off, so the battery died and car wouldn't start. I was certain she needed a new battery after having to jump it and making assumptions based on its age and condition. Even confidently told the guy, "no need to bother testing." He said let's do it anyway just in case. Battery checked out strong, alternator did too. He saved us from wasting money on a new battery when we would've been a slam-dunk of a sale. A week or two later, we decided to purchase a charge pack for her car in case she ever got stuck again. Instead of getting one on Amazon, we went back to BP+B and bought it there. A different employee recommended the one I'd researched and was going to buy. Had it in stock and said they were great. Showed us all we needed to know and even recommended the less expensive of the two to fit our needs. These guys are helpful, professional and honest! I got an even stronger battery than the one I had & I didn't have to wait at a shop while they install it, it took less than 15 minutes. How often do you purchase an item only to be told, "hey, you don't need this!" In my experience, not very often! Thought I needed a new battery and bought it online ($120) and rolled up at lunch to have it installed and viola, Tray Woodruff, Store Manager checked my current battery and informed me it only needed to recharge itself. He asked a few qualifying questions and then offered up a no-cost solution, just let it set/run and recharge itself. He then proceeded to install 2 small interior light bulbs (not something they normally do)...and off I went, happy as can be. Whenever my battery does decide to go to Battery Heaven, no additional thought needed as to where I will go. Only drawback to this place, they only sell a few things I need! I have very mixed reviews of this business. This company has great products and, a very neat store, However they don't seem to communicate well with each other. We went in for a key replacement for a Ford Taurus, and one Sales rep stated that it would be No problem! I stated over and over again that we lost the car key, So he charged us the programing fee and for the key as well, and stated that if we ended up not programming the key we can get out money back. When talking to the manager the next day, he stated that they need at least one key to program it, I am happy that they manager refunded out money to make it right. So I will continue to do business with this company since they are willing to admit their mistakes. read more

My first visit to Batteries Plus Bulbs. I had several needs - a replacement of a very heavy sump pump back-up battery, a battery for a medical device, and a dying key fob to my car. I had tried to research the sump pump battery online and I had several questions. I'm glad I gave up the online "adventure" as my experience at the store was absolutely outstanding. I was assisted by a young man named Cody who provided service above and beyond. My issues were resolved promptly and efficiently and I left the store having spent less in total than I would've with an online purchase of just the sump pump battery. I'm sure this place is great If you have no clue as to how to fix a broken screen but they also sell cell phone parts so if you are well versed on cell phone repair you can buy your own parts. The caveat? The parts include repair regardless of whether they actually repair it or not. So they charge 89.99 for a part that costs 13.99 on amazon and is literally the same bs non oem manufacturer. I can understand upcharging since I needed the piece that day and didn't pay shipping but charging someone for a labor fee when you aren't doing the labor is absolute stupidity and so I will never shop there again. The rationale being they want to do the Repair. How does this justify anything? I'm saving your employees time so they can do another repair not to mention the liability of messing with my phone...come on even 40 bucks would be palatable. This is the kind of idiocy and greed that ruins a business. read more
