2.8 stars is embarrassing but well deserved. What a bunch of incompetent employees. We were sent here by asurion to look at our television that was still under warranty. Asurion sent the parts that they thought would repair to this store. The store called us to tell us part arrived and we made an appointment. We show up for the appointment and had to wait through 2 other walkins (why even make an appointment?) so about 45 minutes of waiting later, we check in. The guy (I think it was Ryan) says "oh I thought that was your television in the back. My husband tells him the parts were sent for the tv, he disappeared to the back to check and then returns to tell us that the parts they sent were used on the other guys television and oops looks like they only sent one set of parts! Oh but don't worry, the parts didn't work on their television so we will try them on yours and get back to you, should take about 4 hours. We called on Sunday (2 days later as they never bothered to call with an update) and they said they had to get other parts to fix - eta Tuesday. They called Tuesday to tell us the parts didn't work and the company was sending a new TV. We returned today to pick up the stand for our broken tv and once again, walked in, guy with dark hair blonde bangs didn't even acknowledge we were there - he was helping someone else. 30 minutes later, he overhears me saying to my husband that this is ridiculous and he finally acknowledges us; and oh now he's going to pause helping person one to see what we were there for. Guy in the back, Travis, didn't even come up to help as now there was 2 additional people behind us. This place is a joke. read more

First don't let them up sell you on the the insurance they sell to make the phone repair cheaper it doesn't take effect for the first month. Other then that quick and easy repair service that was not cheap but not to expensive. I would have given 4 star if not upselling useless at the time service but that was on me I admit to a point. read more

The employees here were incredibly kind, but after my experience with Asurion, I can't give this place a good review. After seeing how unethical this company is, I honestly have to wonder if the employees receive commission for selling Asurion plans to vulnerable people who come in simply looking for help. I don't know much about computers, so I relied on the employees' guidance to get my laptop fixed. When I first brought it in, they sold me an Asurion plan and told me I'd be able to make a claim for the scratches on my screen after 31 days and have that replaced as well. I went ahead and purchased both the Asurion plan and the replacement part they needed to fix the laptop. They told me I'd get a call once the part arrived, likely within a week. Two weeks went by with no update, so I called and was told the part was delayed in the mail (not their fault). I followed up again a couple more times over the next few weeks, only to finally be told that something had gone wrong with the eBay seller and I had been refunded for the part. But I was still being charged for the Asurion plan -- now into the second month. At that point, the employees advised me to file a claim through Asurion instead, saying I could get the part and the screen replaced for even cheaper that way. I followed their instructions exactly, even asking them to stay on the phone with me while I filed the claim to make sure everything was submitted correctly. Still, the claims were repeatedly denied. The plan was $35/month, so in total, I paid $70 to Asurion, and nothing was fixed. ZERO services were provided. After playing whack-a-mole with their different phone lines, they told me they could refund me for one month (which is already offensive because I paid for 2 months under false pretenses) but when the refund came in, it was only for $25, not $35. In the end, they wasted over a month of my time, left me with a broken laptop, and effectively stole $45 from me. This wasn't just bad service -- it was misleading, unethical, and exploitative. Very fast! Dropped off a phone on 2 occasions. Both iPhones. One with water damage and one that just wouldn't power on. They weren't able to fix the one that wouldn't power but recommended a data recovery business. They were able to fix the water damaged phone within 24-48 hours. Very happy with the turn around. read more

The Gahanna location does great work and Tom is very customer service oriented! Went there on a Tuesday at 2pm and again to pickup my phone at 430. They were sooooo busy both times with 8-10 customers lined up . Mutli tasking, trying to get everyone taken care of. They could definitely have used another pair of hands! read more

Do yourself a favor and take your device to another place. I dropped off my daughter's iPad to get a screen replaced at 130pm. They were going to call me when it was ready. I waited outside and saw people who came after me pick up their devices and leave so I called and they said they were working on it and couldn't give me an estimated time for completion. At 530pm I get a text saying it's ready. When I pick it up I was given the iPad with the film over the glass to use as a "screen protector" the man said. But the film wasn't even secure and it was tattered and dusty as if it wasn't new. When I peeled the film back there was no cling to it and there was smudges and dust all over the top of the glass evident that it wasn't new. Upon closer inspection there was a big dust particle stuck underneath the glass and greasy smudges near the home button. On top of that, the corner margins were off. When I complained they said they could fix it but it would take another hour which I didn't have to time. The technician came out and told me it's very difficult to keep the dust off the iPad glass and that he didn't see the big dust particle because the film was on it... not true since there was evidence the film was not secure to the glass. I told them this was not acceptable. They couldn't help me saying there was no manager. All they could say was there is a 90 day warranty. No other compensation was offered for this mess. Paid $169 and waited all day for this repair which I know I could've done a lot better myself with a part from eBay. read more

I think this is the first time that I walked out of a business completely satisfied, feeling like I should have paid more! My Google Pixel 3 died, and after some troubleshooting with a Google agent, they told me to take it to the closest uBreakiFix location. Sadly, there were none in Medford, OR where it broke, or in Albany, NY where I live. Luckily, I knew that I would be in Columbus, and sure enough, there's one right by the airport. I walked in, chatted with the agent behind the desk, and sure enough, by the end of the day, they figured out the problem, and fixed it. Best of all, they do not charge for diagnostics! So the roughly four hours to take apart a waterproof phone, and test every component, are completely free! Don't you wish car mechanics had the same rules! I can't wait until one of these stores opens up in Albany! They offered to replace the battery in my phone for an extra $79, but I decided that since my phone is only a year old, and I baby the battery, to decline. But it's nice to know that in a year, that's a very reasonable cost to replace the battery. They even give a 90 day warranty, that essentially extends my phone warranty, for no additional cost, after every repair! This location has a free, underground parking garage, and a nice shopping center as part of it, so a pleasant place to come! read more

I had a wonderful experience with this shop. I was having a really hard time finding a new phone that I could afford right now (why are iPhones as much as cars these days???) I decided to just get mine repaired. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving my phone somewhere for days while it's being worked on. Imagine my excitement when I learned it only takes an hour to replace a battery! I also was extremely impressed with their customer service. I felt valued and respected. I dropped off my laptop to the tech Brandon, at the Gahanna location. He explained the service to me perfectly, he was nice and professional. I left the establishment to run more errands, by the time I got inside my car and stopped at my first red light I get a call from my supervisor that I could possible get a free new laptop. Lovely! I immediately called the phone number on my receipt to call Brandon to let him know to hold off with ordering any pieces for the laptop repair, it has only been 10-15 mins since I left the shop so I am beyond positive he'll remember who I am. Unfortunately I get the call center, I spoke with a female and her attitude was terrible, she was talking so fast I couldn't understand her name, she had put me "on hold " to reach out to the store but I ended up being hung up on. At this point I am upset. I call back again, this time I speak to Blaine, he was very nice in the beginning. I explained the situation to him and he puts me on hold to reach to the store, 10 mins I hear a man say hello, I responded by saying hello back but there wasn't a response from the man. I once again say hello, he doesn't saying anything. I can hear the background and the man speaking far away but he is not speaking to me. He intentionally ignored me as I kept saying hello. So I decided to do a 3 way call to speak to another representative and to show how I am being ignored. Sadly I got the same lady who was rude to me when first called the phone number. I explained the situation and she put me on hold again. Five minutes go by and the man is still randomly saying hello but ignoring me when I respond to him. Suddenly I hear the man say thank you for calling and both lines end. I have now been hung up on three times. I call again because at this point I don't want to deal with this company, I do not want the techs to service my item. This time I speak to a representative named Allen. I explained to Allen the situation and he was kind and understanding but I requested to speak with a manager, he says sure one moment and puts me hold. I guess Allen decided I didn't need to speak with a manager and he transfers me to a representative named Chistina, I am beyond fed up with being disrespected at this point. I explained the entire situation to her, of course I had to deal with her snobby attitude, she says she is going to reach out the store and I have now been on hold 40 minutes. It is now 7:20 and I see the store closed at 7pm so it seems that Christina just put me hold until her shift was over so she doesn't have to take more calls. I will not give my business nor money to a company that will treat me with such disrespect. As I told every employee I had spoke with to make Brandon aware to not order any pieces for the laptop yet so I hope he was at least notified some way because I would hate for money to be wasted but I am definitely not paying for any service because now due to this situation I do not want the service. Great repair on my Samsung note 20! They replaced everything that was needed. Found out it was still under warranty (which Verizon quoted me $560) do didn't cost me anything. The phone is like brand new! Staff was courteous, knowledgeable and kept me updated on the repairs. read more

I had a problem with my iPhone. Apple was not able to help me in a timely manner. I walked into another location of U Break I Fix and they were not able to help me either, but directed me to visit the Gahanna location. I did, and they were able to replace the screen of my phone in about an hour. About a month later I was having some of the same issues, so I brought the phone back. It turns out that while the reason it was having those issues was partly because of something I had done, they replaced the screen again at cost. I appreciated this gesture very much. Both times I have visited, they have completed the jobs in a shorter amount of time than I expected, and also shorter than they estimated. Thanks very much! read more

I was sent here by Asurian. I paid the $29 fee over the phone for a cracked screen to be fixed. I called these folks, told them I had a cracked screen, my fee was paid, and I have my claim number. They said bring it in and we'll fix it. After taking off work, which is very difficult where I work, I bring it in the next morning. He looks at it and says he can't fix it because the back of the phone is cracked. I said I just need the front fixed the back is ok. He said Asurion won't allow them to fix the front if the back is cracked. I'm 55 and I really think that's the most incredible consumer UNFRIENDLY and nonsensical statement I've ever heard. Not to mention...NO ONE BOTHERED TO ASK ME ON THE PHONE IF THE BACK WAS CRACKED!!!!! however...He had no problem immediately telling me he could fix it for around $250 I said is that all? He said, oh no, there's tax also. Like he enjoyed saying it. Very misleading by not asking more about my phone before I drove there, wasting my time. I wouldn't give them $5 to fix a thing. These sheisters use the old bait and switch. Shame on these idiots. And yes. I had the cash on me but the way this guy talked to me I had no problem going somewhere else. I did. I paid about the same. But these sheisters didn't get a dime. read more

I took my iPhone in to replace the screen. During the intake the technician checked all functions of the phone and confirmed that the only damage was the screen. I didn't leave the security code and I was told that I had a 30 day warranty instead of a 90 day warranty. When I picked it up I unlocked the phone the tech went through a checkup. The home key wasn't working so he took it to the back and tried to fix it. It seemed to work when I left. 15 minutes later when I got home and tried to use it the home key still didn't work correctly. The haptic was not responding to touch nor was the finger print function working consistently. When I went back 1 hour later I was told that I had no warranty and they would take it in for a diagnostic for a day or two. I tried to reason with him saying that I unlocked the phone and they were allowed to check all functions before I left. He said I had no warranty I could watch the video of the intake process to prove that I wasn't told there was a 30 day warranty. They conveniently couldn't provide the video, but then said they would put the damaged screen back and refund my money. We agreed to that. Now I have a cracked screen AND it doesn't function correctly. The battery drains extremely fast and the home button doesn't work consistently. I had to buy a new phone yesterday because of incompetence and no ability to put the phone back to its original condition of a broken screen with all functions working properly. The technician irreparably damaged cables in the process of the repair. Work order 10478728 is in my wife's name. All parts were provided by uBreakiFix and this wasn't an insurance claim. Your warranty states your company will repair or replace if your company damaged the device during a repair. The tech couldn't fix the damage done when they installed the new screen. They did everything they could to just get us out the door. read more

I had my Samsung Note screen fixed and it took way longer than they said originally. After the "repair" I have been experiencing battery issues where my phone shuts off or restarts by itself. I've tried to fix the issue in settings but unfortunately still have the same problems. This business is not professional and the work is very poor quality. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Asurion sent me to this place to get my son's cracked iphone xr screen fixed. It was working perfectly fine...just a cracked screen. I walked in, the guy ran the diagnostics and said all was fine and to come back in an hour. I come back in 1 hour and 20 mins and he said "it shows still in progress, let me go see where it's at." He then comes back to me with the phone in his hand and showed me that it no longer works and told me some ridiculous reason about why it is not working now and handed me a number to call Asurion. Talk about pissed!!!! I bring my perfectly working phone in for a screen repair and now it will no longer even power on???!!!!! And that was it... nobody even cared or even showed concern. They just expected me to walk out the door and be on my way. They also left a screw out and left that area of the phone scratched from when they attempted to take the phone apart!! Horrible service!! I believe they screwed up and broke the phone. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more
