We brought my brother's phone here for a screen replacement. Shortly after the repair, the phone stopped holding a charge. When we returned, we were told he was "charging it too much." The battery eventually swelled, which caused the screen to lift and become damaged again. When I went in to ask questions, the technician admitted he knew the battery was faulty. I asked why we weren't informed during the original repair so we could fix both issues at the same time and avoid further damage. His response was, "You paid me to fix the screen, and that's what I did. The battery is not my problem." He then said we could "get the battery fixed anywhere for $50 and have a brand-new phone," but failed to mention that the swollen battery had already damaged the screen again -- meaning we would have to pay to fix the screen a second time anyway. What was most frustrating was the constant contradiction. He kept saying the phone was "six years old" and that's why the battery did that -- but in the same breath would say the phone was in perfect condition. We never had battery issues before this repair. The phone only started having problems after it was serviced here. Throughout the conversation, he repeatedly talked over us and was very dismissive. There was no accountability, no clear explanation of the repair process, and no proactive communication about a potentially unsafe swollen battery. We eventually received a refund, but after three trips, wasted time, and now having to pay another repair shop to properly fix both the battery and screen (where we were also told a plate was left off during the original repair), this experience was extremely disappointing. I would recommend being very cautious and asking detailed questions before agreeing to repairs here. read more

The employee lied and told me I was past the 6 month warranty period by 3 months on a phone screen repair. When I checked my receipt I was within their policy. The screen just went out. There was no physical damage to the phone. The screen just went. Why have a warranty and not honor it. read more

So I have an old calculator, like 18 years old and the original batteries finally died. Can I please have a moment of silence for these batteries that literally lasted for 18 years? I couldn't find the battery size I needed anywhere in the regular stores. So I decided to give Batteries Plus Bulbs a try. To my chagrin they were able to match my battery to an updated standard and my handy little calculator lives on! The store attendant was so nice and willing to satisfy the customer. I'll be heading back to this store for all of my future needs. By the way they carry way more than batteries and bulbs. They stock car batteries, security systems, radio components and so much more! Check them out if you're in the area, I could geek out in here for a couple hours at least. read more

Went in to get a new key fob for my car. Man at the front desk wasn't too friendly but the other man (manager possibly) came out front and took care of what I needed. He was very friendly and had great customer service. read more

I paid a visit to our neighborhood Batteries Plus Bulbs earlier today. Have been there previously and have on occasion found the staff there a bit offputting. Today I decided to write a review. Received an explanation concerning the inability of purchasing a particular item unless ordered online. Although they had the item. Website does state that. No really reason provided other it was corporate/franchise issue. Phoned another location, was given a concise explanation which would have been more than satisfactory. Unfortunately the gentleman at local store was unable or unwilling to articulate the same. Hint: Can't clarify or provide information as if the other party should know already. Front camera stopped working. Took it to batteries plus bulbs walked right in and it only took 45 minutes to get front camera replaced. Everyone was very friendly. Also included a 6 mo warranty. Highly recommend. read more

I walked into the store In Florissant and the smiley clerk was busy. There was a clerk covered by a scarf except for his eyes, and his eyes were angry and glaring. I hesitated and he angrily jerked his head as if to indicate I should approach. I did and handed him my garage door openers that quit working. I let him know they might need new batteries but they weren't working, so he, without a word, started putting batteries in them and testing them. When he came back to the counter, he was frowning even more and said the remote isn't working. I didn't understand what he meant so I agreed that it wasn't working. It got really awkward when he started lecturing me in a very loud, condescending voice, demanding, didn't you see me testing the batteries? He was rude and not willing to communicate in a respectful way. I didn't know what he was trying to convey at first and due to his sparse words, testy explanation, and overall disrespectful attitude, I took my remotes, and left. It took me a while to shake off the experience. I will not be returning to such an environment for any reason. read more

Purchased Nuon CR123 batteries for my security cameras and they turned out to be defective. No problem, BPB manager replaced the batteries and offered apologies just as a great business manager should. I was so impressed!! read more

I was given a push pedal John Deere tractor with a battery that didn't work, and stopped in to this store to see if they had a charger. Bought the charger, and it didn't charge the old battery, so I went back to return it. The man that helped me there offered to try a new battery in it, and after numerous trips out to my car to figure out the problem, he found the solution. The tractor just needed a new battery. He even directed me to one that lasted longer and was less expensive than the original battery. I really appreciate all the extra time and effort he spent helping me. I will definitely be returning to this store next time I need batteries. A big thank you to the man there that helped make my son's Christmas! read more

Made an online appointment to get the cracked screen on my phone repaired (and received a discount). The phone was repaired while I waited so I had an opportunity to pick up some light bulbs and batteries. Great service. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. read more
