Purchased a new Duracell 30LA battery for my 2017 Harley Davidson Road Glide on 1/23/2024. On 10/15/2025 I returned it because it no longer had the cranking amps under load to properly start the bike. This particular battery carries a 2 YEAR FULL REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. I have purchased many of these same batteries in the past for my Harleys over the years and never had a problem until now. Chad, the guy at the counter load tested my fully charged battery and it tested at 13.1 volt and under load it tested at 313 cranking amps. This is a 400 cca rated battery. That's 87 cranking amps short of rated capacity. At that point Chad refused to honor the replacement warranty further stating that loss in capacity needed to be greater than 20%. I'm not really sure where Chad got his math education but 20% loss is still 320 amps and mine tested 313 amps. That's not enough to start a Harley Big Twin so essentially I now I have a $219 completely worthless battery that is ironically still under warranty. Apparently you don't get what you pay for at Batteries Plus anymore. Kind of odd that their website is filled with glowing reviews yet there is no provision for customers to leave reviews. I have been buying batteries from this store for many years but never again. Customer service has gotten real bad. I bought a lithium battery and a few days later it was dead, so I received another. That battery lasted just about one year out of a three-year warranty, so I went to return it. Long story short, they told me they ordered a new battery, and it would be a couple of weeks, so a couple of weeks went by, so I called back again. I was told they had received the wrong battery and had to re-order. I say no problem. I received a call a couple of weeks later and was told the battery was in. I walked in the door and told the guy I was picking up my battery. They ordered, he brings out the battery and tells me he is eating the cost and replacing it out of courtesy, he is replacing the battery and not to bring it back and would not sell me another because they won't work on watercraft. They still show the battery online for my watercraft, but he says it won't work anyway. I got home and figured I will just put it in my lawn mower and call it a day. The battery was not good. He sent me home with a bad battery that wasn't even new, to get rid of me. I go to my online account and there is no record of the transaction, and I was given no receipt. I asked if I had anything to sign and he said no. I have been ripped off by this company and have the worst customer service you could get. read more

Great service and knowledgeable folks . Very personable and professional. I bought batteries in Ohio and they "knew" me here in Florida.

In the past I always had good experiences however this past visit was unbelievable. I had purchased a car battery from this location that turned out to not only be a dud but also the wrong battery for my vehicle. Even after explaining that my mechanic had tested it and it was a bad battery they would not refund me because it was outside the 2 week return. They didn't even try to test it or anything just said there is nothing they can do. Now I'm stuck with this faulty battery they sold me and out $250. read more

I went there to see about getting my 11 month old battery replaced under warranty. The person testing the battery put the cables backwards then realized that it wasn't working and put the cables on correctly. He told me that the battery was bad and asked if I had not driven the truck for any extended period. He said it was because I didn't drive it for a while that the battery died and it was not covered under the warranty. I asked to speak with the manager, he talked to the manager and then the manager just looked at me from across the store. I mean he didn't even walk up to me just stood there and was dismissive and asked me what I wanted. I told him that his employee already told him and what could be done. He just said that nothing, the warranty would not be honored. The fact that they didn't cover the warranty on the battery was not as bad as the poor customer service and complete lack of caring that I felt. I've purchased many batteries in the past from this company, granted it was in Tennessee where I lived previously. I would seriously consider this place as my last option for any service that they provide. Then they wonder why so many go online or Walmart. If I'm going to get bad service then at least I'm paying less. The manager needs to be given some training on customer service procedures and how to properly address customers. I just left the Ft. Myers location by page field at 10:00 am , 05/12/21. I needed a battery for my wife's 2018 Honda CR-V key faub. He offered to replace battery for $30 if I would bring in faub, I told him I just need battery, he said he couldn't confirm battery size without key faub, are you kidding me? I googled it in 10 seconds for size, he said wiithout faub it may not fit. I have had good experiences in the past here. If that guy worked for me, it would be sitting him down and show him how to take care of customers. I went down street to ace hardware and bought it and put battery in myself in about a minute. I called from the Denver Airport looking for a charger for my Pentax K-7 battery. They had one they thought might fit, but were uncertain. After I landed in Ft. Meyers, the Batteries Plus Guys were able to help me find a compatible charger. They looked at the battery and said 'I think this one might work.' And guess what -- It did. Even though my battery wasn't one of the listed compatible batteries, they found a universal charger that worked on their second guess. Very friendly staff, very knowledgeable. They are rip offs . We bought a battery. It started twice. Then died. We had just bought a expensive battery charger. Put it on.. nothing. Went back to the store.. " oh you must have done something, or something drained all the juice in it". Um.. no... The service I received was okay, as it was quick, but the price was not so hot. ** I do have to point out, that there were plenty of name brand batteries, lights and interesting electronic "toys" for sale, and in no way should my review reflect the array of in-store stock [where it seemed the shelves were over flowing... even for a battery sale]. The review is based on the experience I dealt with. ** "What happened?" you may ask yourself. I'll tell you: We walked in, needing a replacement battery for a Nissan Altima key fob. Thinking Batteries Plus may be cheaper than going to the Nissan Dealership, it seemed like a great idea. There is a pro and con to this, and I can't decide if we were right or wrong. The plus side is the "lifetime warranty" of the replacement battery. The negative side is that it would have cost us over $15 after tax and labor (yes, there is an installation [or labor] charge). But the guy who help us gave us $3 off the total, due to the aforementioned "battery sale" (thus, the final bill was close to $13). The way he sold it, sounded like he was doing us a favor by "giving" us this warranty. Upon looking at the receipt when I got home, the guy sold us the warranty without telling us. That's why it was so much money. I'm sure the battery didn't cost more than a few dollars, and although I don't know how much installation usually runs, the only thing listed on the receipt was this battery warranty ($15). The next line item was the $3 off coupon, and nothing else besides normal store information. We felt a little cheated, as it wasn't explained we were automatically going to be enrolled in a warranty program and charged for it either. We thought we were going to get a new battery and be done with it. Fingers crossed that if we need a replacement battery, it'll be no charge when we go back. I called the dealership to get the battery replaced...quotes were from $139 to $200+ based on longevity of the battery they would replace. I was shocked! Called Batteries Plus Bulbs they said come in so they could determine what battery was need. Dropped by this afternoon, the store manager, Derrick Kindl, installed the new battery...took the time to show me how to replace the battery in my wife's key-fob and charged me a total of $18.00 for 3 batteries. Excellent service, complete stock, and convenience make this the place to go for batteries and related items. I took my iPhone to them thinking I needed a charger port replaced, which would cost $69. The phone would not charge. They tested it and found that I had not inserted the cord completely into the port - no charge. They could have easily done the requested repair and charged me. Very disappointed in batteries plus.I have bought from them before and was satisfied so I decided to see about getting a battery for my iPhone. I want online to check to see if they carry my battery and they said it was in stock. So I booked an appointment to come in the next day and have them replace my battery. I live over 30 miles away from them and it takes about an hour to get to them. When I arrived at the store they could not find the battery. One of the clerks checked on their computer and said that there are four in the store but they couldn't find them. They told me to come back the next day and they would have a battery for me. I said that does me no good, I am not going to drive another 60 miles and spend two hours to come back unless you were willing to compensate me in someway. I figured I lost about five dollars in gas and lost two hours from my day off which should be worth something. They refused. So I will take my business elsewhere. They were unwilling to compensate me for my time and expense so they left me no other choice but to give them a low rating in customer service. read more

Great for other things , but do not I repeat do not take your watch here to have your battery replaced! I took them my grandfathers Accutron to have the battery replaced and they assured me they knew what they were doing and could do it. They damaged the inside of the watch and when I took it elsewhere to be repaired I was given and estimate of over $300 because the parts have long been discontinued! What a great place! Before I gave up on my do it yourself watch battery replacement I spent the better part of an hour trying to get the back off my wife's very expensive dress watch- not to mention a puncture wound in my finger and a nice scratch across the back of the watch! So decided to leave it to the professionals. I walked into the store and was immediately approached by a very polite young woman. When I told her I needed a new watch battery- she at once took the watch and said "no problem- be right back." Within three minutes she was back with the watch working and set at the correct time. Install and battery- $13.95- I was looking forward to going to Nathan's hot dogs next door while I waited- but there was no wait! Great place friendly folks and plenty of staff. I recommend. I am so impressed. It was easy to schedule an appointment and they said it would take no more than 30 minutes to repair my iPhone screen. As I was leaving the tech came running out and said my screen was fine and it was the screen protector that was cracked and chipped. They could have easily charged me and only removed the protector and I would never had known the difference. I am so pleased!! read more

I purchased a battery for my key fob & when I went to my car it didn't work. They checked battery & replaced & it still didn't work. They told me it had to be reprogrammed by the dealership. I went to the dealership, the "foreign" made battery was crap. Dealership replaced with an American made battery & it cost $4.00 less. FYI, keys cannot be re-programmed, they are made to match one car & one car only. Employee was not friendly. A total waste of my time. read more

Never buy from Batteries Plus, why? I needed new batteries for commercial auto-scrubber, so I went and got 2 deep cycle batteries for the machine, fully charged machine has to go for 3 hours, but it would work only 2 hours and month later 1hour 40min and month later 1:30min and so on, I thouught it is a machine fault so I took it a mechanic change all the wires, checked everything, tune up. so next year I bought another set of batteries, same, from Batteries Plus, in 11 month it would give me 45 min run time only, then I went to mechanic again to check the machine again, he was pretty sure it was batteries, and he changed them to another set of new batteries same category ones from different suppliers, guess what? it was batteries from Batteries Plus weren't working properly all that time, nothing was wrong with machine. Plus, the batteries for my car remote didnt last even 2 month before they died, also they were from Batteries Plus, no wonder. read more
