Brought in a Galaxy Note 4 with a jammed volume button. When I picked it back up, the volume button was fixed but later that day when I plugged in the phone to charge, the home button would not work. Apparently the charging port was misaligned and pushing upon the home button when plugged in. I brought the phone back in and showed the misaligned charging port. They said they would fix it. I got a call 15 minutes later saying to pick up the phone, and there was nothing wrong with it. I went up and the button did work like it was supposed too. I asked what he did to fix it and she said he never touched it and there was nothing wrong with it to start with. I looked at the charge port and it was adjusted. You could tell he used a screwdriver to pry it back down due to the missing paint on the top of the charging port. Why couldn't she say they "adjusted" it instead of trying to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it. It's not worth the headache, just go to Florida Cell Repair. Much better quality work.

I insisted that it not be a refurbished printer, as I had already looked up my type of printer that I retrieved back, knowing exactly what Amazon was charging for it.. ~ not surprisingly that I never heard back anything. I had to go back and pay the difference for an "Apple" screen which wasn't really Apple. The screen became pixelated, had a spot on the corner that blew then gave a black and green screen only 2 months later. It was supposedly under a 4 month warranty but the lady refused to touch it, fix it, take off the screen or replace it under warranty. So when I brought in 3 video tapes to transfer to digital, I expected the same level of excellence. When I dropped the videos off and asked for a quote, I am absolutely certain the guy told me $20 each. No doubt in my mind whatsoever. But when I picked them up today, the bill was just over $100. This guy insisted that he never told me $20, that's the price for 5 or more videos. He said it's $25 each plus $20 for the flash drive. He absolutely did not tell me about the extra $20 for the flash drive, either. (And how would I know there was even a $20 option if I hadn't heard it from him in the first place?) In the end he dropped the $20 for the flash drive, but I was still stuck paying a lot more than the $60 I expected. He bragged about how this Is still cheaper than some other options. But it's more than I was quoted and I'm feeling ripped off. I have a lot more videos to transfer to digital, but Star Tech will not be the ones to do it. Or anything else I need. If you need videos transferred to digital, check out capture.com where they'll do SD for $20 each plus $15 for the flash drive. Or go to imemories.com for $14.99 each and no charge for the digital drive. Just don't take them to Star Tech. If you do, be sure to get a signed, written estimate.
