ReLite - A Job well done

    ReLite

I first came across ReLite via eBay as I was in the market to set up a home work station to allow…read moreme to work from home more efficiently than just working off of the small work laptop. ReLite has a variety of refurbished products that are in very good working order and from what I have seen the prices cannot be beat. That is all well and good. However, what really sets this review to 5 stars is that my purchase did not go as anticipated. I purchased two 22" monitors and unfortunately, the power cords were left out of the shipment. I contacted ReLite and he immediately apologized for the over sight and shipped the cables to me. We had a few communications in the midst of this, all professional and cordial. But, ultimately, ReLite, after the fact, came to me and said what happened was an error and was definitely not to their standards. That is a statement we hear all too often these days and usually, the one saying thinks it absolves them of the error. It's become cliche. But, in so saying, ReLite meant it and refunded the entire purchase. I wasn't asking for one, nor was I expecting one. But, that was an exemplary statement to pride and ethics of this company. I have since made this company one of my first "go to" places when looking for any electronic devices. They may not have it...but, I will always start my search here! I recommend you do the same. You won't regret it!

I was perusing ebay one day and there was an ad for stop board repair. Cha Ching! I ordered that right up at the super low cost of 49.99 plus i have to pay for shipping. I mail my board off and about 1 week later, voila, my board is back with aboslutely no information on what has been done to it, if it works, or anything. Not even a thank you for your business. Being as I trust my ebay folk, I went ahead and left the 5 star feedback. About 2 weeks alter I go to put the board in and previous to me maliing it off, at least one plug where it goes to the board is not working, this i know. I plug the board into my machine and voila, does not work. I examine the plug i was speaking of and not only is it still loose, there is 1 wire soldered to it. 1. I examine another plug and its loose. I do the right thing go back and email Mrs. Nick, and this is what I get back: When you sent it to me, someone had messed with it and soldered both power leads together. I put that jumper on, as the trace for your power was shot and without the wire the board was dead. I didn't charge anything for that, which would normally be an extra charge as someone, who didn't have soldering knowledge had altered it. I'd be happy to check it out, but it will be at a cost. It may also not be repairable as the power lead was not in good condition when I received, just FYI. It was also thoroughly tested in a machine and functional when it left. Your feedback said perfect, so you left that before trying it? That seems odd.... Let me know. Thanks, Nick Wow first and foremost, what a favor you did. You crappily soldered one wire to my board and called it good. You have probably messed it up furthur. Here is my letter that prefaced his: Hi. I purchased the board repair from you. I just plugged it in and it is not functioning. Now, all 3 stop reel lights are lit. Upon inspection to the best of my ability, the 2 prong plug that now has the wire soldered to, it is very loose as well as the last plug in the row as pictured below. I am hoping i can send it back and have it fixed properly? After her reception of the above letter, this is what I got back: New message from: nk_retro (1,135Red Star) Ok, and next time I get someone's board that has been altered I will definitely not go out of my way to fix it. I will send it back and refund the service. I did you a favor and now your mad.....I will sleep just fine tonight. All you had to do was be truthful and I would have helped.....but I know my repair was good as I over test everything! I take extreme pride in my work and know what I am doing. Have a great evening, And I will block you so that you don't accidentally make the mistake down the road and accidentally purchase anything from me. Thanks, Nick Really? Is that how you treat people. I was very polite and you come back and imply that I am a liar? I have nothing to lie about. I never said i wanted anything for free. I guess when you work at office depot and make junky wages and have to resort to ripping people off for soldering one wire, I should take it easy on you but I wont because you called me a liar. You have alot to learn about customer service. Its all about the consumer, Mrs. not the retailer. My recommendation, do not use this service as you will just get excuses. Not worth the time or the money. I could have saved 49.99 plus shipping and broke it myself.
