I checked all the big box stores for a specific key fob battery and they didn't have it, but this place did. Before they let me buy the battery they actually checked the key fob battery for me and verified that I didn't even need it. They volunteered to clean it out and wasn't going to charge me but I chose to purchase a battery as a back up anyway. It's a small Mom and Pop shop in Frederick, so even more reason to support it. We recently stopped into Battery Warehouse - Frederick for an odd sized battery...and they had it! I've used them before on other occasions and once in a while it would also be for an odd size. I needed to get a charger for two RV batteries that I, sadly, had not taken off the RV until January. James was the man that helped me. He explained what charger, and why, I would need and how to charge in series or parallel. Because the batteries has lost all charge sitting on the RV, James arranged to charge the batteries overnight. He will test them in the morning to make sure my error of leaving them uncharged for so long did not damage them. First of all... this is a one-man shop; before you make a special trip CALL FIRST!!! Don't just show up and then leave a nasty review when he's not open. Okay, that's out of the way... James was incredibly helpful when I came in with an old Canon video camcorder looking for a battery and charger. He spent a long time looking through his inventory while consulting on the phone with someone at the main office. Success!!! He had the charger And two batteries left over from the '90's! One standard size and one larger capacity. He charged them both up for me to make sure they were good, and I went back yesterday to pick u the larger battery and charger. He even gave me a great discounted price! (Unfortunately the battery isn't holding a charge, but no problem... I just got off the phone with James. He's looking for a newer battery and said I can return this one if it won't work for me after another charge.) Bottom line: Great place, great price, great service. read more

Customer service here is the best. These guys are knowledgable and treat your vehicle like it was theirs. They have superior products too with great warranties. I have a battery for my jet ski, motorcycle, and my truck from them. All these batteries have and continue to out perform any other batteries i have ever owned. The price for countless types batteries here are SO low. Watch batteries are only a couple bucks and are installed for free. Even car battery checks are done for free (and the corrosion will be taken off, even if you don't need a new battery.) The price for car batteries are about half the price of other places I have seen, and they come with a 3-year warranty. read more

My customer service experience today with James was excellent. When I spoke to him on the phone he said he was going to lunch and I made an appointment with him after his lunch break - Yes Darcie D. businesses close for lunch when they are single staffed and this is not Costco or 7-11 so they also close at the end of the day, Any way James had my battery ready and was very professional and knowledgeable. I have been dealing with this location for years, through four BMW 7 series, one HD motorcycle, a lawn tractor and a cordless phone and I have never had a problem. This was my first dealing with James however and it was a pleasure. He instructed me park in front of the garage door so he could work on my 2014 Ram 1500. I didnt ask him to change the battery, I came with tools and was prepared to do it myself. James made quick work of the job while listening to my BMW maintenance stories, stopping once to sell something to a customer who walked up (something I didnt mind) because if I walked up I wouldnt want to wait. I ended up buying a used battery for $50.00 and James cleaned the terminals on it and in my truck and load tested the battery I bought to make sure it was good. When he was finished he even checked my charging system and I wasnt asked for a tip although I gratefully left one. Thank you James you made my week and you are a true customer service professional.
