I was pleased enough with the service here to make time to leave a review, somethign I rearely do. I came in today (3/14/24) for help becasue the casing on my combined key/fob was cracked and falling apart. The gentleman working there offered me a great solution by providing a replacement key/casing and did the repair right away, while I waited, for a fraction of what a replacement would have cost at the dealer. Awesome! I got something stuck in my iPhone charging port. The Verizon insurance replacement was going to cost me $229. I took it over to Batteries+ thinking it would cost me about $100 which is what was quoted on the website. When I went in, the young service tech took my phone, examined it with a pair of tweezers and pulled out the end of the iPhone charger that it broken off and handed it back to me. Free! he exclaimed. Extremely disappointed with the service here. I bought a battery for my motorcycle in March of last year. November 10th around 5:30pm I brought the battery in because it was struggling to start my bike. I asked to check the cold cranking amps, which showed the battery needed to be replaced under warranty. The kid working attempted to look up my information in their computer system, but they had no record of me purchasing the battery. The battery still had their sticker on it with the purchase date. But the kid said that because I wasn't in their system. There is nothing he could do. I asked to speak to a manager, but he said there was no one else I could speak to. So I ended up being stranded at work the next week and had to buy a new battery from autozone, which wasn't cheap. And... the kid working there was sneaking hits off his vape while testing my battery in front of me, highly unprofessional. read more

Today, my daughter's car died at the nearby Starbucks. After calling Battery Plus, they came to her, jumped the car, she followed them back, and replaced her battery!! My phone charging port had small debris stuck and I couldn't get it out myself. I came almost to closing time, hoping to leave the phone overnight and pickup the next day since I needed the phone the next day. The guy at Fix-It asked what kind of problem I had and he said "oh I think I can take care of that now". He was able to get it fixed in few minutes and when I asked how much to charge, he said no charge. I was surprised that he wouldn't charge for it. I left him a tip anyways. I came here looking for a new battery for my car key fob and did not expect to receive the best service of my life. They tested the battery to make sure it wasn't dead (so that I didn't need to pay for anything I didn't need), then helped me install it for very cheap (free because I had gotten the key open by myself already). I spent $4 and was so pleased, I came back like 15 minutes later with another set that had broken on the inside. They soldered the part back together and helped me get a new replacement battery. Both guys that helped me were super nice and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. In summary, if your car remote stops working (or you would just like to meet some guys in customer service that are nice and not out to take every nickel and dime from you), come here. I am obligated to write this specific review because of the exceptional service that I received on a busy Saturday morning. I had a few issues to present to them today. I had two separate car key fobs that had issues along with a car battery issue. Within minutes, the technician was able to find the specific batteries for the key fobs and replaced it. He even took the time to make sure that the key was registering with my car. First issue fixed! My son needed a spare key made on his 2016 Ford Escape. I asked the owner of Battery Plus in Ashburn, VA to see if they do such service. He said, his store does not, but reach out to Chantilly if they can help me. I reached out to Chantilly by phone and they told me they can. I told them that I'll come in the afternoon and he said bring the car with you so they can program the new duplicate key. This task got done, but what I would like to share is the manager's genuine kindness to help, provide accurate information and it took nearly an hour, but he brought out a chair for us to sit while he worked on. At the end, he even apologized for the length of time and I told him if we went to the dealer, it would have taken 2 days. Cost $256 total and I just wanted to share the excellent customer service. During our stay they had 3 customers who came in the store and his assistant was as good taking care of them as well. His skills may be limited, but his customer care is at the top. After all, we all cannot do everything, but it's how you approach the situation that defines you. Thank you. Frankly, I have used Battery Plus chain many times and like Chic Filet, they know how to treat their customers well. It just makes you want to keep coming back - even if you don't need them. Don't change watch batteries here!!!! I changed my mom's watch battery here near the end of last year and it stopped working less than 2 months later, and because I had never thought that a new watch battery'd stop working so soon, I just hadn't even bothered to keep the receipt, and so, I couldn't even take it back to the store to exchange it for another one; my mom took it to another store and was told that the reason it stopped working so quickly was because a wrong type of battery had been put into it! Amazing. Finding this store and its staff saved me a small fortune. Had previously visited a locksmith to repair or re-program my Jeep key fob and met with mixed results. Actually it now appears they were not above board and wanted to sell me a new one (after market over $300 and Jeep's are $500+ with the parameters needed for our car). Was not going for it, did some minor work on the key fob myself, and then found these people. Richard, then Jeff were uniquely helpful on the phone and then on my visit worked with Alan who quickly pointed out a glowing error on the battery (which the locksmith should have seen), and after both that correction and some minor tweaking, the key fob was up and running again. Did some testing and all seemed back in order. When I asked about the charge... Alan answered he didn't do much and could not charge me. What? This was above and beyond service and now know where I'm going for all the needs their services and resolve. I do not do this too often, but check out their website and if you can use their service, go there. They are a new paradigm in service in this market area and should go far. There are many branches so if the Chantilly Location is not in your area, just seek out the closest (however I used this branch due to their specialties). You will be pleased. Allen was very helpful to explain iWatch issue is due to expanded battery. our iWatch is past Apple warranty, So we requested if they can fixed it, which Allen agreed. I had a great experience this morning at this location. I needed a new battery for my car. Online it showed there was limited availability, so I called the store to make sure they had one. The man who helped me (Marlon, I think) checked the computer, and then went and physically checked the shelf, before he told me they did. I asked if they installed them, and he told me they did, as long as they could get to it and knew how. While I was on the short drive down there, he evidently researched how to do the replacement for my specific car! What kind of EXCELLENT customer service is that, huh!!!???!!! When I got there, the transaction was super smooth, and Marlon checked the old battery and charging system first, then installed the new one, all the while cracking jokes and being very friendly. Going Above & Beyond - That's what I felt Evan did earlier today to help me out. I called and spoke to Evan to see if they had battery for my Samsung Android phone. He said they did. I then told him that my cell had suddenly died, and without it, I will miss the calls from the employers looking to potentially hire me as I'm facing layoff. He offered to test my battery and see if it was the battery or the phone. So I drove up to his store later in the afternoon. He was pleasant, courteous, professional, and friendly. He took a look, popped my old battery out, tested it for voltage/charge, then put a new one in. Powered up phone, low and behold, my phone was coming back on. This kind and helpful act was more than I could've asked for, when my own cellular provider probably could've done the same when I was there earlier at their store, but they never offered to. I know to many this may sound like a very minor or trivial thing to do, but I can say from my experience, this was how it used to be back in the day. People just helping people without expecting anything in return. Evan understood my dire situation and without hesitation, offered to help. This kid/young man will go a LONG way in this life.
