I just had my front yard landscaped by Angel, the owner of Battleborn Landscaping, and his crew, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The rocks in our front yard had been there for 30 years and were definitely begging to be replaced. I wanted something more attractive and updated, and that is exactly what I got. Angel came out, measured everything, and within a couple of days sent me an estimate. I received three estimates, and his was not the least expensive, but after talking with him, I felt confident that he was honest, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what he was doing. It took me more than a week to make my decision, and then I had to wait my turn. About three weeks later, they were ready to begin my project. Angel was extremely patient with me because I could not make up my mind about the rock colors. My husband and I went to Cinderlite and brought home samples, but I still wasn't sure. Angel even made another trip to get additional samples and brought them to me. I finally found the colors I wanted! The crew worked in extremely hot conditions, yet every day they left my front yard clean and orderly. They did not install the rock until I had approved the design, which they first painted out on the weed barrier so I could see exactly how it would look. I was also concerned about my trees getting enough water. They checked each tree before putting the rock down and then checked them again afterward, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Battle Born is absolutely phenomenal. Our yard guy messed up turning off our water and I woke up to a lake in our front yard. All the sprinklers and the water box was spilling out for over a day. We needed someone to come out ASAP. I called Battle Born having never been a customer of theirs and they were at our house as quickly as they could. They walked around our whole 2 acres turning off the water correctly, digging up a water box to fix a leak and dry out all the water, unhooking all the hoses, and even showed us a water line we never knew about. Something our previous landscapers never did. They took the time and care to make sure our sprinkler system was completely winterized and mentioned some valves that will need fixing in the spring. We asked about a yard clean up and they said it didn't look necessary, making me feel like they are not the kind of company to nickel and dime you. I talked with 4 different landscapers when my wife and I were looking to update our backyard and Angel stood out to us for a number of reasons. He communicated well, he worked with the quotes and design to make sure the prices worked and when it was go time, he and his team worked quickly and skillfully. We live on a street that people drive too quickly on, they don't use stop signs often and our front yard is small. We set out to design a space in the backyard that would be perfect for our two year old to play and be safe.
