You get the personalized experience. You can explore more items in person, actually get to check and feel the product, buy it that day and get it immediately if you're a local, get to be a part of the local community of model builders,

I think it is very cool that the owner, Justin, is selling something that he actually enjoys.

Kids in the store were nice, cool little eclectic blend of employees, had WAY more Manga then I was into but a solid back selection too and I'd almost always find at least one or two things you didn't know existed. Overall was great for an every 10 weeks trip or so... ( here comes the but...) That being said, August of last year they sold my son a broke in the box General Grievous, big 200 buck one, he was ECSTATIC to buy it but they didn't disclose it was broken, the arm was glued, it wasn't " working" ( Mass law that you can't sell something you know is broke.. we don't have an As-Is law that permits that) and unfortunately he didn't open the box until we got in. I took pictures instantly and we returned to the store immediately and the manager was " going to contact us".. guys name was Phil ( he and his whole staff have been fired since, I'm guessing they were stealing or doing something shady). Told that we broke it ( um... WHEN would we have had time to?!?) and he proceeded to lie to the credit card company as well. Long story short, we're taking them to small claims court and including treble damages because of the intent to deceive, the amount of my time he wasted over what I'm sure they KNEW was their own scam since the arm was super glued... etc etc... It's good that Phil has been fired and good that we're going to get our money back but it's just garbage that ANYONE would try to pull that stunt on a 12 year old autistic kid. Just complete scumbaggery. Ok so in short: Good selection. Ok prices. Really bad human beings. Also, apparently don't know Mass General Laws... probably should learn those guys.. P.S. I'd settle for a refund and an apology from the owner/manager who shows up at court next week. I'd probably change the review to reflect this as it wasn't the owners fault or current management but they've had a ton of time to reach out on this one and haven't. Doesn't help that they tried to say they have " experts" who claim we broke it... maybe the business is seedy, I don't know, I just know they tried to rob a kid who cleaned up an awful lot of dog poop to save that money up..

You are much better off going on eBay or somewhere else to find collectibles than here. The store is run by absolutely incompetent people that are not helpful and very rude. Dan has absolutely zero knowledge of any collectibles or what they are worth and is a huge waste of time to talk to you as well. I could name at least five other decent collectible stores in the state of Massachusetts that would outdo this place in a heartbeat. A bunch of amateurs run this place and I will not be doing business with them again. Once again, save your money and look on eBay or other collectible stores in the area, but certainly don't give these guys another minute of your time.

I walked into Hometown Collectibles in Emerald Square Mall. As I walked into the store I greeted the guy working behind the he said hi and I proceeded to look through the store. About 10 minutes later an older man (who I discovered later was one of the owners) walks in and starts to loudly berate the counter worker about a person wandering around the store (me) and he wasn't watching me well enough. I have been collecting comics for many years and in the back of the store I noticed a huge stock of comic books, but they are separated from the customers by display counters so there is no way for me to look through or purchase any of them. The owner came over to me pretty much to see what I was doing in his store and I asked about how he sells the comics. He told me a story about how he sold some comics at a low price and that purchaser's friend came in to also buy comics and "bragged" about getting a good deal. The owner does not sell out of the store anymore because he doesn't think he can get every penny he can and will only sell graded books online. I highly suggest you stay clear of this place. The owner does not care about making happy customers only about how much money he can get out of you. The prices are unrealistically high, the greed factor is very strong with this establishment. The owner will not even sell to you unless he is confident he has gotten your very last dollar. The owner treats both his employees and customers with a great deal of contempt.

It is also POP MART's 35th brick-and-mortar location in the U.S. POP MART sells "blind boxes" of different toys and figurines, some of which are exclusive collectibles. For months, I would pass by the Opening Spring 2025 signage. Finally, during the first week of June, I passed by one day and saw it was open! I was surprised since I didn't see the announcement on POP MART's instagram page. I talked to the staff member and she informed me that this was a soft opening. The store's grand opening was on Saturday, June 14, and this was publicized on social media. The line started to form at 9:00pm the day before. I joined the line at 1:00am and I was number 158. I was able to go into the store a few minutes before 11:00am. Unfortunately, flip with me was sold out, but I was able to purchase the other labubus I wanted. It was a long night/morning, but it was definitely worth it. Starting Monday, June 23rd, the store pickup option is available at Providence Place Mall. This allows customers to order online and pick up items at a store after the store confirms the order. I always find the staff very friendly even though they are probably so overwhelmed. I am so happy that POP MART landed in Providence Place Mall. I'm sure they will do very well and get lots of customers. Good luck to those looking for labubus. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Of course, since I was already in the store, I walked around as well. I could spend hours browsing the store. All the aisles were fully stocked, labeled, and organized. I found some items on clearance and some other good finds. The cashier informed me that clearance sales are considered final and are not refundable for a refund or exchange.
