The ends were dry and super thirsty. I had been growing my hair out for a while and when you're growing out old hair color this can happen no matter how well you take care of your hair. No matter what product I used my ends were just so unhappy. I saw a post on IG that Rachel had an opening the next day (follow them on IG! It's the best way to see last minute openings!!) so I messaged and grabbed a spot. PURE PANIC SET IN YALL!! Lol. I had been growing my hair out for so long and now I was thinking of cutting off a good amount. It was like watching a scary movie where you're not sure you want to keep sitting there but at the same time you're super excited to be sitting there. Lol. I went through hours of the "should I cancel?" fear. After telling myself over and over it was a good thing I went for my appointment. Once again Rachel's smiling face (it was behind a mask but with some people you can just see the smile radiating) greeted me. I told her my plan and showed her a photo. She was instantly excited and said my idea was going to be gorgeous so I felt so confident pushing forward. After she was done there was so much dead hair on the floor I questioned whether or not it needed a eulogy before being swept away. I looked in the mirror and felt beautiful and so positive about what we just did and part of that was because Rachel was really excited about how it turned out. Ladies (and gentlemen) if you can find a stylist who makes you feel absolutely beautiful even when you aren't too sure about yourself....THAT is an amazing stylist. Rachel's positivity for life in general is infectious and her confidence in doing her job well is stellar. I've also sent my husband to see her after he had a not so great first haircut experience here. His hair turned out amazing as well and he was so happy with the result. Rachel is just an overall good egg so if you are looking for a new stylist or just want to support a local newbie then she is your girl! Thanks again Rachel for making me feel like I can take on the world even if it is with a little less hair! Lol.

They wasted my time, PTO, and money (paid for 4hrs of parking) just to turn around and leave. This issue falls on the booking coordinator to properly understand and clarify a customer's needs before scheduling an appointment. During the booking process, I clearly stated that I wanted color services to help blend and conceal my gray hair, along with highlights and lowlights. I also explained that I had reference photos because I wasn't certain of the correct terminology. Having grown up around the salon industry, I understand that it is the booking coordinator's responsibility to ask clarifying questions rather than make assumptions about the services being requested. Instead of taking accountability for the miscommunication, the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of customer service, accountability, and willingness to acknowledge the mistake has left me with little confidence in this business. As a result, I will not be returning or recommending this salon.

I made this appointment months in advance for a Gala I was traveling from FL to Chattanooga for. The morning of, I received a very brief text from Caroline telling me she was sick and had to "reschedule." No phone call, no I'm so sorry, nothing. How do you reschedule for a Gala? This was very troubling and did not sound right so I called the salon around my appointment time and she answered and was seeing clients! When I told her who it was and that I could come on now, she began whispering and used the excuse she could not get in touch with these other clients to cancel and would be leaving soon. She was talking fine and was even laughing when she answered. How unprofessional and just plain thoughtless to just cancel when obviously she was not sick enough to close up, I will never go back and do not recommend depending on someone who let outside influences determine who she sees and can cancel on you like it's nothing. Caroline, If you didn't want to do my hair for "obvious personal reasons, which are very clear," you had months to cancel and just be honest but waiting until a few hours before an important event is just wrong and heartless.

The people were very pleasant and friendly and I felt great in the environment. My first cut was ok, I suppose, but not good. I was stunned that the stylist used electric clippers on my hair since I have never had this done before, but it wasn't too awful...just not good. The next cut, however, has been horrible! Despite me asking her to bring her chunking sheers, she did not "find" them. She again used the clippers, but this time the result was awful! The back was extremely short and thick since the hair was cut more like a man's there. The sides and the top were scissor cut, but were not properly blended with the stark shave of the back at all! The worst part was the color I paid over $200.00 to have done. We were supposed to take my hair from a dark reddish brown to the natural grey it has been turning to and wow was it a problem!!! I have since found out it would have been an almost impossible task to begin with. But, the stylist said she could do it and I did agree to have it done. My hair was completely destroyed! I spent over 8 hours the first day with various products and several people working on my hair and had to come back the next day for some serious help to put color back in. My hair looked almost the same color as my brindle Pomeranian dog and the texture was completely fried! I have been unable to do anything to it to prevent the breakage and it was left as if it had been burned in a fire. I have now spent over two months trying to get it healthy enough to get a good cut somewhere else! I've had to buy oloplex in several types to help to end the damage and have had other hairstylists tell me I had to just let it grow because it was damaged beyond any possible repair. My hair is generally very short and highly texturized to give it lift, but now it is a burnt, crispy, frizzy mess with horrible color that won't hold due to all of the bleach damage. I have generously given this salon two stars because the environment and the people were pleasant, but for services rendered, I would honestly rate below one star.
