If you need color correction and/or an expert colorist, this is your place! Teresa is talented and definitely can deliver. Be prepared to pay steep prices but it may well be worth it if you have the residue of a color disaster or are super anxious about your color. I gave this salon 3 stars because they apparently don't do "finish work" (even though they are advertised on their website) and the assistant who gave me a "blow out" struggles to use a round brush. (When not texting on her phone.) I could not believe the "end" look she was willing to let me leave the salon with had I not complained. The price is simply too high for the lack of finish work to justify returning in my case. They charged me more than I have paid in DC or CA for my hair -- admittedly, Teresa did repair a bad highlight job I received a few months ago. But still...this is Chattanooga. And I had to endure a rather heated discussion to get my hair "finished." I was told "We aren't a blow dry bar." I don't want to go to a salon to argue about what a decent blow out looks like -- because we all know that it does not include frizzy ends and poofiness in the back. I want to go and relax, fully trusting that my hair will look better than when I style it at home (in addition to great cut and color.) And I'll pay for this luxury. Once I find it. Teresa did finish my hair once we had that tough conversation. And she did finish it nicely. I appreciate that. I just wish I didn't have to argue about salon standards for a $275 service to get it done right the first time. read more

I made an appointment at the Bridge Salon on a whim this week after reading the previous reviews and I am SO glad I did. I can't say enough about my experience...from my appointment phone call until I walked out the door, the staff was amazing. I had a cut scheduled with Teresa, who I didn't know beforehand and she was fantastic. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile, she did a thorough consultation asking me how I wanted my hair to look styled, how much time I have in the morning, what products I like to use... she checked out a picture I brought in and told me how she was going to cut it and why it's going to work for my hair. She did a great wash and even an aroma therapy scalp message that was AMAZING. After she cut my hair and was styling it, she showed me step by step how to get the look I wanted at home. The way she showed me was really easy to do and when she was done I was in love! The cut was great, the style was exactly what I wanted. Overall I couldn't be happier! My appointment was at 10:00 and I left at 11:15, which I loved. I hate when you go into a salon and they hustle you in and out trying to get more clients in to make more money. It just seems like they aren't taking the time to get what you REALLY want and are paying for. This salon is definitely worth the price tag and I will be back to see Teresa in 6 or 8 weeks!! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this salon and the miracles that Teresa can perform. I called early in the morning to see if I could get squeezed in to fix the disaster that was my hair colour. Not only did they work me in- she was able to correct the colour I had and in the process give me the platinum blonde I have been trying to achieve for YEARS! that's not an exaggeration- I move a lot and have to constantly change hair stylists. I will definitely be going back here for as long as I live in Chattanooga. Everyone was so warm and welcoming- I've never had such a wonderful experience. Thank you ladies. read more

This salon ruined my hair! It took them 3 attempts to get it right and it only got worse each time they tried. I have a platinum blonde band at the front of my hair and streaky foils at the back of my hair... I have spent hundreds of dollars the last few weeks to fix their mistake, It can't be fixed though because its snapped and falling out from the amount of bleach they used. I payed them to do it and to fix it, I also tipped 30% in the hope that they actually could fix it when I went back in the next day. I left in tears but they still wouldn't give me my money back. read more

I stayed on the North Shore for one night while in Chattanooga for business. This salon is close to the Delta Queen and big park. I called ahead and got a same day appointment with Liz. We talked about the Tao of Pooh and she layered my hair in a dry cut. I felt totally comfortable in the down to earth salon. Afterwards I turned the corner and walk across the pedestrian bridge towards the art museum. read more

Relocated to Chattanooga recently and got super lucky finding the best men's hair style specialist. In Denver CO it took me years to find the right one. In Chatt, first try! Jenelle is especially talented and specializes her gift for men only. Guys, most of us really dislike shopping around and just take the easy route and go wherever...and wind up settling. Settling is nice, don't shop, go to Jenelle, you will not be dissapointed. You will notice she takes pride in her work the second you sit down in the chair. Very nice, shares ideas, and then nails it! I highly recommend Jenelle. read more

Saw this salon online and thought I'd give it a try. I love my haircut and highlights, and the staff was very friendly. Be aware of the prices, the haircut was $65, which was a little more than I am used to paying, but overall I'm very happy with the result. I was in and out in about two hours, which was great. This salon is next to the blue walking bridge, and several restaurants, so its a fun place to have your hair done and hang out in the Northshore. read more

I am a huge yelp user; the reason I went to the Bridge Salon. The receptionist or employee that setup the appointment was very nice, as was the hair stylist that "trimmed" my hair. I went to the restroom and it was gross, hair on the toilet and it smelt terrible, Lysol please! The salon could use an extreme cleaning as well. Like I said, the stylist was nice, nothing over the top. She was to trim my layered hair cut, I have a large layer on one side she said she was fixing from the last hair cut I had. She actually did this and thought I wouldn't notice or maybe I wouldn't say anything about the chunk. I didn't say anything because I didn't notice it. She styled my hair in a way to hid the mistake. I've tried Salon 59 as well... I am not sure who is next. read more

I wish I would have had as good as experience as the other reviewers. I went in as part of a bridal party. I had a picture of what I wanted for my hair. I took much time looking for the style I wanted, and I was so excited that I would finally have it done. Well, when it came time for my hair, the owner (who styled my hair), was making small-talk per usual about another person's hair she had done. She mentioned in a catty way that it is really better when the person lets the stylist do whatever she wants, then did my hair COMPLETELY different than the picture. When she was done she stopped to primp her own hair. She asked me if I liked it, but she was looking at herself when she talked to me. I didn't have time for a re-do, so I sadly said yes, because I had to leave to be on time for the wedding. I was not happy with my hair. And the makeup artist made a rude comment about my mother's age. There are other things that were upsetting about the experience, but I am trying to keep this review shorter. BUT there was some good. The food supplied to the bridal party was nice (Side note: it was also paid for, it was not gratis). The twin women, and the younger blonde woman who work there were ABSOLUTELY wonderful. They were very, very sweet. My advice; If you have an opinion about your hair for a pictured event that you will have to see for many a year to come, find out beforehand if it is going to be an issue to have your hair done the way YOU want. And if that makeup artist, which I regret I don't remember her name, is still there, avoid her. On top of the rude comment she made to my mother, she was also the one who gave me a less than friendly greeting when I came in. read more

I'm visiting from California and am in need of a trim. I dropped in having to wait until I walked back into styling stations...the first tech was apologetic for the absenance of front desks...she was helpful...said yes! I'll go get the other tech and was seated in her chair...let's call this one Ms. Sunshine (most likely the owner) in describing a med layered length haircut (using Gyspy (I've just dated myself) & Farrah's as an example...she seemed disgusted and told me my hair was very dry, that it was already layered and it wasn't long enough...LIKE I WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS. I realized that this was not going to work so I made an attempt to get out of her chair and Ms. Sunshine put her hand on my right shoulder and push me back down in the chair...then she went to the other tech whispered who-knows-what and came back...then I said "time to go"...so I got up saying "good bye & many blessings". Coming to Tennessee for the first time and being "SOUTHERNLY CHARMED" by EVERYONE! So, I would like to kindly give Ms. Sunshine the suggestion of buffing up on SOUTHERN CHARM 101! I have just read ALL reviews...the 5 Stars sound like "Friend's"...the 1 & 2 Star reviews are most likely true . The rebuttal by owner is kind of desperate and tainted with a surly attitude...the same attitude I encountered by owner. Also, the salon was old, the windows were filthy and it just felt like a geriatric ward...and I'm over 60. In talking with a friend who's an attorney she would like to suggest to Ms. Sunshine that "physical restraint could lead to legal suits". read more

Great hair cut and style. They recently started cutting mens hair and I really like Jenelle. She has alot of experience in bigger markets and has exclusively styled men's hair so she's knows her stuff. I've been there twice and had amazing experiences both times! I would recommend it! read more
