That lady who we think owns the place was real fun to get to know and we all share the same common memories of Portland in the 90s. As with any shop like this i would think the selection of stuff is subjective and changes often. Today we were impressed by good amount of records, fun cassettes and some great old clothing with some advertising places long gone like the city nightclub. I especially appriacte all of the different rooms and outdoor spaces they have. Out front you'll find furniture and clothes on sale, right inside there's a whole room of knick knacks and jewelry, followed by a room of bags and shoes, then one of clothes, an outdoor area that features outdoor and garden goods, a kitchen area, and an upstairs where you can find lamps, children's, and furniture! There is seriously a little bit of everything and it can take a couple rounds through the store to feel confident you haven't missed anything. I highly recommend stopping in!

this used to be my favorite place, it was even my birthday stop a couple of years running. this…read morelast year has been a bit crazy tho so it's been some time since i've been in and man has it changed for both good and bad. the upstairs used to have this GORGEOUS whimsical book installation that was absolutely magical -- gone. the club car used to have adult beverages on the weekend which is why i came today (to celebrate my birthday and grab a drink!!)...closed, and apparently no longer sells alcohol only coffee (but again, closed regardless). i went downstairs to ask the two associates at the desk what happened and they stared at me like i had grown a second head when i asked about it being closed. "you mean the COFFEE baaar..." one of them snidely stated...sure...thanks for the clarification, rude person...I haven't been in for awhile and I was looking forward to grabbing a beer and browsing for my birthday. they looked away and sort of rolled their eyes? rude...the other one responded "yeaaa it's been closed for awhileeeee..." like I GET IT, so sorry I'm out of the loop and was looking forward to it and I didn't know the alcohol part of the BAR was no longer a thing. MY BAD. the rest of my hour was meh. the interaction put a pall on the whole trip and where I normally spend *hours* browsing I spent less than one. I found one thing I was considering purchasing but by the time I came back downstairs there was a line around the corner and down the hall, literally 10+ people waiting. nope. no thanks. overall still many cool vendors. kinda sucks you have to pay $10 to play pool for 70 minutes?? it is NOT free. the pop-a-shot game downstairs has ONE ball so you can't actually play that either. the whole Fallout vaults theme from upstairs is gone and makes the downstairs "vaults" seem out of place and disconnected...idk. just kinda bummed man. overpriced, smells bad, bad attitudes, long lines, costly games or games that you can't even play. wcyd. this won't be a primary stop anymore. sad.

This place is really cool as yes... it is highly vintage oriented merchandise but we noticed more artsy and crafty items that were for sale too that were amazingly cool. So that added a further unique spin to this place. Also there was a plant vendor too that sold lots of different kind of little cactuses in various colored shades which further enhanced this place. I saw things of a vintage nature I liked... which were mainly old action figures... that was a lot of fun to browse through checking out all of those!

But DO pay attention to the prices. Some are astronomical... As in you could get the SAME thing at Goodwill (yes Goodwill!!) for nickels on the dollar (as pennies are no more lol.) Other items are truly treasures or good deals (stay AWAY from the plants. They're incredibly expensive!!!) I got some crystals to fuel my spiritual guidance and my daughter got a bracelet and my son got Hot Wheels. (Which he paid 3 times what they were worth but it was his $$ To spend!) Vast selection, the best vintage in Portland! When I visit, I plan on at least 45 minutes because there is so much to see! I walk around the entire footprint then turn around and walk the other direction because different items will catch your eye. If you are seeking an occasional chair, they have so many styles and cool pieces. Wish I had room for more! They just don't make these styles anymore or of the same quality. They usually have a large selection of couches also in shades of teal, orange, avocado just like on The Brady Bunch. Even plaid, if that's your thing. And of course boomerang shaped coffee tables to complete your seating area. There are so many unique one of a kind pieces too, like an upright piano transformed into a bar. OMG, I wish I had the space for it! What I always have room for is unique bar ware and glasses and they have lots to choose from. Lots of metal and sculptural wall art which really gives a room personality especially when complimenting paintings or prints. They have a large selection of table lamps but it's the hanging pendants that I really love. Perusing this store ignites so many memories! I see items that take me back to my childhood home, pieces I haven't thought about in years. My face lights up remembering a curved side table, a Sputnik light and metal flower wall art similar to what adorned our den.
