The only downtown was I bought a western like jacket and 2 rings... and they didn't pay attention to the price tag, as it was marked down from $76 to $62. Pretty cool experience. The memory den will definitely recall your memory! I purchase a few vinyls that were a good find! This mall is a pretty popular place for locals and tourists, so do expect some over priced items... but nothing is over priced if it has sentiment value/ apart of your past, right? My boyfriend wanted to go here and so I indulged him! It is a bit overwhelming and quite a bit of junk, but still I thought it was cool. Artist spaces and some were great and others not so much. I think what really struck me was the amount of vinyl, CDs, 8-track tapes, etc Stuff that when u was a kid was there latest technology and now it's all junk. Sitting on shelves. Hopefully these items won't be lost. I thought that having the different places for clothes was interesting. I didn't have the time to dig through all of it, but I can see why others do. I really liked the pool table upstairs, and the furniture room. I can see coming back here on a rainy day and it is good to support great creative spaces like this one. Worth a visit! read more

Thrifter's paradise .. plenty of independent vendors to shop around for items you may need. They have a wide variety of booths. It's a very cool space and I found an old kitchen gadget I was needing. The prices are dependent on each vendor's pricing but I found it to be fair. read more

Some of the booths had such curated decor, I felt like I was stepping into a little art display! Obviously the clothes here are a bit pricier than the average thrift because they're curated, but I had some great finds here! My friend and I each left VERY satisfied with our picks! Amazing antique mall. They had parking in front and near by. Inside, they had free lockers for our jackets and big bags at the entrance. So much great stuff on multiple floors. We enjoyed exploring this mall - a must-see in Portland. The only complaint was that the restroom was ... weird and the sinks were .... OUT OF ORDER, so we couldn't wash our hands. Probably one of the most impressive antique venues i've been in anywhere in the country. I own a small e commerce business & originally dealt in antiques years ago so I have been in countless antique malls, peddlers malls, flea markets, thrift shops etc across the southeast & midwest. Many shops are simply a space with some or very little personal character & booths with stuff. There are very few establishments with the vision, clientele, vendors, & dedication to create a unique shopping space experience like Memory Den has done. I spent over 2 hours here taking my time to see the space & examine the booths in detail. If i had more time in town i would have spent my afternoon here. Its clear this space is meant to entertain you as well as sell goods. The way the space has been curated & the implementation of local art is awesome. I was limited on luggage space and walked here from downtown so I couldn't take much home but I found a neat vintage book on Thailand for my wife. Wouldnt say the prices are low or that they are very high, but somewhere in the middle of what ive seen across hundreds of stores. I think this should be HIGH up on visitors' lists for attractions in Portland. read more

This is a MASSIVE mall. Truly, you can find as many clothes as you would find in any other kind of mall. There is parking located in front of the building in gravel and there are stairs into the building. You start on the main floor and can either take stairs up or down. On a cold day, it will be freezing inside of the building in almost every area, even with a jacket, your nose and extremities will be chilly. There is also an unrecognizable , strong smell that fills the air strongly through the entire building. Find just about anything here from glassware, trinkets, clothes, to furniture and more. We were here for 6hours and the time flew by! We found so many good treasures as we found more and more alcoves off the main rooms. It is a warehouse here so bundle up during the winter. Sadly they did get rid of the staged rooms for photo op. Why? I had no idea this vintage mall existed until one day my husband and I decided to walk around town and stumbled upon it. I didn't expect it to be 3 floors! Lots of nostalgia for a person like me who grew up in the 80's and 90's, it literally felt like I was walking into someone's memories. I am also a very intuitive empath which led me to believe there were moments that I sensed some strong energies. One fun find was an antique piano that had a label on it that it was HAUNTED. Some rooms like the Library and Pool Table room were like stepping through a portal into another dimension. I think overall the vibe here is eclectic, nostalgic, and full of hidden treasures. There's something unique for everyone and so many options for a photo op if you just want to take selfies. Just remember to dress warmly because it can be cold especially because it's winter. When it comes to the pricing for certain items, don't be shocked at how much they're selling for. Each vintage booth is curated by independent sellers and I'm assuming that they are priced reasonably considering that most are vintage and hard to find. I think this is my favorite antique mall experiences so far! read more

Gross. It's dark and dingy and musty. I bought a shirt and even after washing, could never quite get the musty smell out. Everything seems to have a layer of grime on it, especially if it's in the downstairs section. Some of the booths have great stuff. Prices are all over the board, depending on the vendor. It's really fun to walk through and see all of the things you forgot about from childhood, though, and some of the booths are like walking through a museum. Not very many employees walking around, and not much security, so I imagine there's a lot of theft. I mostly couldn't get over the smell. Everything I bought was just.... Dirty. This place truly is a walk down memory lane. So fun to peruse through all the different booths and see how they're curated. It feels kinda weird now that items from my childhood is now considered vintage! Haha! But it brought back sweet memories. Some of the pricing is high, some of the pricing is low. It's quite a mix. The tiniest door in the central Eastside leads to the biggest warehouse that is this vintage mall with over 140 local vendors. They've got furniture, home decor, and clothing. They've also got so many photo opportunities! I wouldn't necessarily recommend the place if you're looking for something specific, but if you have time to spend and want to browse while shopping, then this is the place for you. Some vendors have different focuses. Some set up their booths elaborately, others are simple shelves. Vendors set their own prices and I do personally think many overvalue what they've got. I'd love to learn more about their events, as the bar, library, tattoo studio, decades lounge, and more, all suggest that this would be a fantastic spot for a huge shop-and-sip style party. read more

Curiously investigating every little thing collected and carefully displayed by the booth curator or zipping by to unlock the astonishing achieve of seeing every booth in one day. This is one of the coolest thrift stores I've ever visited in Portland. They offer several amenities, including a fitting room and a bathroom. I also appreciated that they carry plus-size clothing. Wear your comfy walking shoes for this mall! It's a huge place that smells like moth balls and old things. Tons of clothes, in all sizes including some kids clothes. Not a lot of furniture when I was there, but there were a few great vintage sofas and tables. Loads of knick knacks, decor, a record room, a whole vintage kitchen setup (see photos), and even a library. Been on my list for so long, finally made it. Great, incredible, old factory building. So many stalls. So much vintage clothing. I mean, glass and crystal, vinyl records, dad's, vhs tapes, CASSETTE tapes! Collectibles (think trading cards), plus furniture and a wonderful little coffee cart. Oh, books. Did I mention they have books in a comfy, library room? I only took 2 photos. Because, well, I was too busy shopping. I am uncertain if someone with mobility issues could navigate thru this building, tho. And, the restroom(s) are....um....unique. Parking does kinda suck. This place is SO cool with such an energetic, unique vibe. I could spend hours wandering around it. I consider this spot to be a big 2-story warehouse that's been converted & set up with so many vendor booths full of decorations, clothes, antique items, hidden treasures, & unique gifts. Not only do they have tons of booths, the items are priced affordably & you can find many items ranging from under $5 to $100+, so it's truly a store where you can find something for everyone. Memory Den is a Cyclopean cavern of crafts and couture clothing; a labyrinth of long-lost literary legacies; a font of forgotten fashions and finery; a Sisyphean selection of souvenirs, substance and style; a mythological mish-mash of...alright, enough of the Odyssean adjectives! You get the idea! What I'm trying to impart to you is that this warehouse of well-worn wonders is big. Real big. How big? My wife and I ran out of time before seeing it all, and we were spread out and moving quick. Hell, we only really had time to skim the surface, and still spent the better part of a C-note before the clock ran out! Granted, we only had about an hour, having arrived in the early evening on a Sunday, but honestly, you could spend an entire day here and still not see everything this place has to offer and, according to the assistant we spoke with, even working here doesn't guarantee a complete assessment of all the articles available for sale, as they rotate regularly. While I perused and mused over mounds of media, electronic and analog (particularly the sizeable selection of second-hand books scattered throughout both floors), my wife reconnoitered rack after rack of raiments, garments and assorted apparel, accessories, jewelry and other objets d'vetements. Like many vintage and antique malls and galleries, each diorama boasts the select inventory of a different curator or collector, with their own themes, tastes and types of collectibles, ensuring that there is literally something for everyone here: if you don't see something you like, move on to the next display! Adding to Memory Den's already appealing incentives for attending, they host regular family friendly, during-and-after-hours events where music, cocktails and light bites are on offer, turning your shopping experience into a shopping EXPERIENCE. We're all about that, and my wife and I intend to drop in next weekend, when their October event happens, to continue where we left off, and scour every corner, nook and cranny of this wonderous warehouse, at our leisure! With unusually reasonable prices throughout, helpful employees, and enough stimuli to engage, entertain, and possibly overwhelm just about any shopper, window or otherwise, Memory Den is absolutely worth your time, effort, and the threat of potentially getting stabbed by a fentanyl zombie wandering around the wastes of Central Eastside industrial district. I love this antique mall! I've been to a lot of antique malls and this is one of my favorites. I try to go every time I'm in Portland. There are two floors full of booths selling all kinds of antiques, and they recently added another room entirely. I always find something to get here! The bathrooms are certainly an experience. They feel incredibly haunted and I'm a little afraid of them to be honest. They work just fine and are definitely the same vibe as the rest of the place. You have to see them to understand. The people who work here are always friendly. Even when there's a line, they work quickly and have a smile to offer. The vendors generally price their things fairly. Some are cheaper than others but you can usually find something at a steal of a price. I'm pretty sure this place is not wheelchair accessible, something that I wish could by changed. The front door is only accessible by stairs and there is no way to get to the second floor without using the stairs. They have a huge elevator by the front door but I've only ever seen it used to transport furniture. read more

Yikes!! Horrible customer service and the prices are REALLY high!! Such a cool place and they have so many interesting things. We were shocked at the prices though. Although they were high, we still felt it was worth staying. I found a really cool corbel with a mermaid that would be a great addition to my beach theme. We went up to pay for an album my partner found and asked the girl at the desk if they ever negotiated prices. She said the only thing they let her do was call the booth owners and ask. We explained the item and said it was priced at $84.44 and the mermaid was plastic so we wondered if they would consider bringing the price down at all. She said "Well, they price things the way they do for a reason", then she rang up the album and said we were good to go. I had two other items I was going to buy but wanted to figure out the corbel first. We hadn't ruled out the corbel even at full price. I walked out without buying anything. It's interesting to me to have someone working your front desk who will cost you sales (for the booth owner and the owner of the business). Not only mine, but anyone who might read a negative review and think twice about shopping there, and anyone else who comes in in the future that gets the same poor customer service. Especially with our economy right now and people worrying about spending. I'm not mad, just surprised. Alrighty, that's my last visit to Memory Den. So disappointing but there are plenty of other options for spending my money. read more

Huge antique warehouse! It wasn't the easiest to find parking, even mid-morning on a weekday. The place is massive, you could definitely spend a chunk of time if you wanted to really cover the entire place. There are two levels, and there's a big difference in feel between them. While the downstairs feels kind of dark and basement-like, the upstairs feels huge, bright, and airy. There's a LOT of wearables at this antique location. We came with a list of specific items we were looking for, and unfortunately didn't have any luck. But we definitely had fun looking. The aisles are pretty wide and booths organized quite well and easy to search. There's one booth upstairs in particular that's set up so cute and fun, like a lil house...my daughter spent quite a while in it alone. Even though we didn't have any luck on our search, the place is great, and loads of fun to wander through. Just one warning/heads up, they don't have a restroom. Considering how large the place is, and therefore how long you could spend, seems like a bathroom should be a must...plan accordingly! read more
