My favorite cocktail bar in downtown at the moment. I'm normally hanging out in Winter Park or Mills for drinks but if I find myself around, I'm definitely stopping here. This is a hidden gem- it's also one of those "if you know, if you know spots" - downtown orlando secrets. The bartenders are always so sweet and will willingly create something for you from scratch, and I promise it'll hit every single time. Indoors, it's very dark and sexy. It's a place you can truly enjoy a well crafted drink but also have a lovely conversation. I truly miss these kind of places, how cocktail bars all started - intimate, low music, selective seating... exclusivity. Although this place has a vibe, the ambiance is 2nd and quality of the drinks/service is 1st priority. These days you'll stumble upon very beautiful places but unfortunately find a lot of opportunity in other areas... if you catch my drift. P.S Women As Lovers: made with Tequila, Sipsmith Sloe Gin, and in house Lemon juice. A beautiful well balanced drink. Start with that :)

Cute little place. I was walking downtown and when I started walking past this place it just called me in with its cozy feel. The servers were nice and provided drinks quickly. Service with a smile.

After a great Yelp event came here with some Yelpers and had a great time. This is a small bar with great art work on display. Has a NY vibe and really loved everything about this place. I wanted something off menu and Thanks to Gen I was introduced to The French 75. This is a refreshing drink with gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar and Champagne. It was amazing and when I'm feeling fancy I'll order it again. Overall this place is a small but cool place to get some handcrafted cocktails.

This bar is great. Has. Exotic vibe. The Bartender was very professional and talented. Very aware of people coming in and who to serve next. I think they only thing is I don't think they have enough seating for when it gets busy but other than that really cool place.

This is a hidden gem in downtown Orlando! This is hands down the best kept secret in Orlando. If you are looking for a great cocktail in an amazing setting with top-tier mixologists this is the spot. Brown was our mixologist and he was so hospitable and knowledgeable about spirits and cocktails. Note this is a very small space so it's not ideal for large groups but perfect for date night or grabbing a drink with a friend.

Came in to go check out Hansens speakeasy upstairs but ended up at their downstairs bar a lot longer. Very inviting entrance. Bottles were lined up against the wall all lit up. Checked out their specialty cocktails which was a completely different menu than upstairs. We tried the penicillin, the women as lovers, paper plane and a titos soda. The paper plane was delicious and my favorite by far. Bartender was great, super nice and easy going. Artwork was cool and even saw the artist come in and charge some artwork. Small bar so recommend the week nights to go if you want to relax, have a good cocktail and avoid the crowds.

Went to Bacchus after a festival at the Pier. It didn't disappoint and the server was great. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Beautiful, cozy, elegant bar with perfect lighting! We happen to be in downtown and decided to come here to try some amazing cocktails. We were greeted immediately by the bar tender and we got seated with our menus. They have some amazing cocktails and one of my favorite modern classics - Naked and Famous was there too. The bar tender took special care in prepping these cocktails and we enjoyed watching him make them. Cocktail making is an art and Patrick (our bar tender) was superb at it. Bauhaus has a cozy seating area at the bar which can fit up to 10 people so it's never super packed. They also have couple tables just for standing which is great too to hang out with your group. Orlando downtown is super fun and this is one of those places you can't miss!

Absolutely amazing cocktails. Our mixologist, Brown, was wonderful and so knowledgeable on everything. He made such great custom cocktails based upon flavor profiles you liked. He is super passionate about his trade and it shows. Everyone else there was friendly and welcoming! Definitely Recommend.

I've not had a bad drink here yet. Been coming for years. Sergey knows his spirits, composition, and balance like few in town. He will make your new favorite drink, guaranteed.

Didn't have anything I wanted on the menu so I told him what I liked and he made the most perfect drink! Thank you brown!

Bauhaus is a beautiful bar with a great ambiance, excellent service and great drinks! The downtown Orlando area has a lot of cool bars but this one by far has to be one of my favorite ! Definitely stop by Bauhaus if you want to spend a chill night out with friends in a cool bar with great service and an awesome atmosphere!

Oh man.. this was my very first time at Bauhaus and I loved it. The ambiance is nice, the drinks are tasty and it's located far enough from the craziness of Wall Street. I ordered a paper plane it was legit good. The drink was strong and tasty. The service was good too. Another thing about this place is that there is a speakeasy upstairs with a secret password to access. My friends and I try to check it out but it was quite crowded. One thing is for sure I will definitely visit Bauhaus the next time I'm downtown and make myself upstairs to the speakeasy.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

It evokes another era, the 1930s and 1940s, a hidden place where people escaped reality for a few hours and where every whispered conversation felt a little more dangerous than it should. There is something about saying the name out loud that feels almost mischievous. Even before stepping inside, it conjures images of old Hollywood glamour, forbidden romance, and the kind of longing that filled classic films. The sort of place where people met not because they had to, but because they couldn't stay away. The space itself more than lives up to the promise of its name. Death in the Afternoon is one of the most visually interesting places Orlando has to offer. It feels intimate, mysterious, and wonderfully removed from the ordinary. I couldn't help but think of The Great Gatsby, not because of excess or extravagance, but because of that same sense of romance, possibility, and yearning for something just out of reach. In fact, I visited twice in the same afternoon. My first stop was simply to satisfy my curiosity and see if the reality matched the image I had built up in my head. It did. So after completing the rest of my three-hour Mills 50 walk, I found myself drawn back for a meal and a chance to enjoy the atmosphere a little longer. The menu is limited, so choose wisely. The salmon entrée was excellent and easily the standout of my meal. The Caesar salad was pleasant enough, but the salmon is what I would come back for. As a perfect ending to the day, a dear longtime Yelp colleague joined me and we spent some time catching up on the latest news and gossip in our circles. Good conversation, a memorable meal, and an atmosphere that feels like it belongs to another time. Death in the Afternoon is not just a restaurant. It's the kind of place that stays on your mind long after you've left. Make sure your stay is not over 2 hours tho ..
