I've developed back and neck problems, aggravated by my very physical job. Not being able to move my neck much and constante lower back pain and inflammation. I came to the Baum Chiropractic Clinic, which is close to my home. Xrays revealed that my spine from top to bottom was not curved how it's supposed to be, plus degenerative issues due to aging. Dr Cindy started to treat me, I was nervous at first because I was afraid to be Snapped-Craked-Popped. But Dr Cindy uses a Gentle Method which I can handle much better. She makes you feel comfortable, manually feels and checks where your spine is out of place or inflamed. After her treatments, I've gained movement of my neck and back. She has minimized the constant pain that I have, and I'm able to continue to go to work. After my work week is over, and my job has left me a mess, I see Dr Cindy and she puts me back together again. This office is the most comprehensive yet affordable one for all kind of pain I have ever visited. You come and receive a full Great evaluation of your entire body by one of the great Drs; yes from head to toe, then you get great explanation of your issues and immediately after gets introduced to a phenomenal care plan with great attention to details, depending on your situation. In my care after being disciplined to come according to the frequency set by the Dr, you start coming and get your electric therapy with Roger, your exceptional massage done by Brito and with the amazing adjustments done by Dr Cindy, Dr Lopez or Dr Baum You will sleep amazingly as quick as after starting the first session. Well, that happened to me though! they are all great. The level of professionalism also by Susana and Erika (jimmy is doing good also) are also a key in the team success as they are always on top of one not to easily forget our next appointment, filling out any form and making sure we get thru all the therapy sessions every time we attend one appointment. Doctors are great especially Dr Cindy and Dr Lopez however if you don't speak Spanish it is hard to deal with the front desk staff! I got new PPO insurance and my copay was doubled for an office visit; the front desk woman said she'd look into it of course she didn't and her only response is "it's your deductible". I loved coming here it's close and if you get in at the right time on the right day not a long wait but the turnover in staff has dropped the quality of care and their front desk people need to speak English. I never got to see Doctor Baum. He may or may not be a good doctor, but I will never know. His office staff, Ms. Gloria is the rudest. The only thing she listens to is the tune of her own voice. I called to make an appointment. I know one million percent that I do not have to pay because I met my out of pocket, and my in pocket deductible, and I have a special kind of insurance that covers me 100% after I meet those requirements. She would not listen at all, She knows everything. I had my insurance company call her, and verify this with her and try to explain this to her. She was rude to the insurance company. Then I called her, and asked her if she understood that I did not have to pay. She still had to have the last word, did not apologize, and kept telling me that I had to fill out a form in case my insurance did not pay I understand that I have to fill out that form, you always do. What if you do not pay your premium, or if my insurance cancels me. I understand, however, who wants to go to an office with rude staff. I still have to depend on them to bill it correctly using the correct codes. Then my insurance told me that I am covered for therapeutic massage if the doctor recommends it as necessary, and the insurance company called her and told her so, but she said no, that I still have to pay. One more thing, If I have to pay, which I do not, why did I have to pay 75 dollars when the co pay is 45, She made a point of saying 45 plus 30 for the office???? Poor doctor who builds a practice, studies, sacrifices himself when he is young to study to make something of himself, and not just party, to give it all away with rude obnoxious office staff. read more

Never went, never dealt with them. Basically bought a Groupon that is somehow tied to Oola Moola (which that site is basically a groupon but not free of charge). So I called to redeem my groupon and schedule my appointment 2 days before my groupon expired with them, and they tell me that they have no appointments till a month away and I can't schedule now because I have to be in there before my groupon expires. I explain to her that I've bought 100's of these and every single clinic and LMT honors your groupon as long as you schedule the appointment before the expiration date. She was hard headed and stuck to their office rules which are not nice or fair rules. I don't blame her, I blame her boss and that Dr's office. My advice to this office, don't participate with groupons if you don't follow their standard rules. You can't tell someone that you have no appointments available for 6 months and that we can't do anything about it because it would be expired, useless and a waste of our money by then, it is false advertisement, irresponsible, unfair business, and just not right. You get there, they show you a video about subluxation, they take you for an Xray (that needs to be done in their own practice) and they diagnose you with what? Subluxation. They tell you that you need a long term treatment of 3 sessions per week, each week you pay, even if you have insurance. I fell in this trap for 3 sessions, and then I realized something wasn't right. I had been to many chiropractors and none ever mentioned that or acted this way. When questioned about the subluxation to a friend who is a researcher in the area, and showed her the x-ray, she explained that this theory has been disregarded in the scientific community for flaws and lack of evidence. I also consulted a rheumatologist and a physiotherapist. Once I stopped going, they kept calling me everywhere for a while, and even more, than a year later, they still sent me phone messages until I blocked their number. read more

I have been going to Baum Chiropractic for almost 20 years, twice, following accident related injuries. The first time I was not really aware of all the benefits that chiropractic care provides for the proper function of your body. I didn't truly understand the purpose and functionality of the spine. I was always told "Chjropractors are not real doctors". The fact of the matter is that Chiropractors should be amongst the top respected service providers, because what they do, is maintain the health of the motherboard which is your spine. If anyone ever calls you spineless, be offended, very offended. Dr. Cindy Pekofsky broke things down in such a way that my daughter and I, totally understood the mechanics and functioning of the spine, and the importance of its care. Her bedside manner and energy are impeccable. Dr. Michael Baum's concern is for the entire individual and their health and wellness. His quirky sense of humor eases the angst of anyone he touches. I went to the clinic for a sprained knee and Dr. Baum was an excellent doctor. I improved significantly. However, the front desk staff is very rude. In particular, Vanessa is very unprofessional and at times, even yells at patients and treats them like children. She single handily ruins what would be an excellent patient experience. Mr Baum is knowledgeable of his technique as are the rest of the chiropractors working with him. They are so good that the sessions seem short because you want more. The staff is kind and will try to accomodate to your needs. Timeliness is an issue though, but most of the time it is because so many patients want this team to fix them so the wait is worth your while. Since Mr Baum also has engaged in humanitarian projects, I recomend his services to friends and colleagues too. And there's always parking! read more

After my car accident I was in pain, depressed and unsure where to go to get myself together, and at the very last moment to lose my rights for an event that It wasn't my fault at all, I learned that under Florida law my insurance company only covers certain amount of money, leaving me alone with a pile of bills to pay that I didn't know were under my responsibility because I thought my counter part were suppose to take care of them, but I was naive and wrong.
