Booked to repair our air conditioning unit through DTE home protection program. We're scheduled to come out the next day between 1- 3 PM. Called us on the day they were scheduled and were able to come at noon. Replaced the faulty part and we're done with the job in 30 minutes. Very friendly professional guys. read more

Man, I hate to deal with home repair stuff. It's just like getting my car fixed. My dad put the idea in my head that because I'm a girl, I'm going to get robbed every time I have something done. Since my husband wasn't home, I got to deal with Al and he got to deal with our jacked up central air thingie. Al explained everything to me that he was doing, and was upfront and honest about the price as well. He was on time for his appointment, and was really professional. I called for an estimate on installation of central air and was informed that my heating unit needed to be changed as it was ancient. Had installation of both done 5/26. They were in & out in 8hrs as promised, took no money until my husband was completely satisfied and by the time I got home from work it was like an igloo in my home. Recommended highly! read more

I Called DTE regarding a problem with My rental AC Unit. They stopped on Saturday within the scheduled window. Replaced the thermostat, check the furnace & the outside Unit. Everything worked fine. Very professional. read more

My husband and I had Baumgardner installed a new AC UNIT a few years ago. After the 1st year Baumgardner had to come out to service the unit 6 times. Every 2-3 days they are adding freon. I called DTE Energy home protection service, they said the unit needs to be replaced and we need to call the company that installed the unit because It is still under warranty. AL & James told me my unit just had a leak and that DTE ENERGY guys don't know what they are talking about. Baumgardner came 6 men deep, they sealed and replaced, sealed and replaced numerous times, then they finally agreed the unit needed to be replaced. Now that they can no longer seal and replace they wont return our phone calls (hiding behind the customer service representative)and said we had to wait on the manufacture before they can replace our unit. This is unprofessional, bad business and we will be seeking legal help. read more

Had A/C replaced. They made a huge 2' hole in the basement wall, packed up and left without reporting it !!!! I took them overt 2 months and multiple NO SHOWS before they FINALLY fixed their damage. I have multiple rental properties and have never experience anything like this. I would never use them again......They're OFF MY LIST!!!!! read more
