Lived here for four years. First year, AC compressor went out and they had it replaced in 4 hours. Last night, I went online and requested help for a broken sliding glass door blind. Shawn Wade, one of the maintenance crew, came and fixed it while I was at work, and even left a card letting me know he finished. Just awesome. I've had low-priority issues that took much longer, but I would expect that. For example, I had a problem with our flooring, and they had to get an outside resource to help, so I'm guessing they wait long enough to have several to fix before they bring the outside company in. I waited about 60 days, which I was fine with. When the contractor came, it was good as new. 100% of our requests have been fixed in an appropriate amount of time, and our apartment is great. read more

Worst apartment ever!!! Been over a month we requested them to fix our dryer but they closed our case without resolving it. This apartment is a joke! Actually this country is a joke. This week I encountered a problem with the clothes dryer in my apartment not heating my laundry. I submitted a work order to correct the problem and Ryan, the Maintenance Tech, was assigned to the work order. Ryan quickly determined the problem to be a blocked dryer vent duct. He proceeded to clear the vent cleaning out 20 plus feet of ductwork. The entire process was completed in no time and I am back in the business of drying my clothes. The ladies in the office are very rude and don't like to do their jobs. I had to ask three different people help me print something today. One of them was too busy flirting with some man to help me. I said excuse me and asked a simple question about the printer, to which she replied very rudely, "go ask the other ladies in the office I'm helping him already" then proceeds to flirt with this man that did not actually need anything from the office or managers the entire time. very unprofessional, plus the printer didn't work. read more

Horrifying. I have lived in seedy college town apartments for the past 5 years and have never experienced something like this. After not having a working furnace for 3 months (Nov-Jan), maintenance came into my apartment at 9 am while I was at work, left 5 minutes later (all documented on my security camera), and then promptly left my front door ajar, unlocked, with keys in the lock FOR HOURS with no intention of coming back. They fully admitted to me that the person responsible just forgot. Managements response: we tell the guys to lock the doors. As if that's supposed to make me feel better. I could have been robbed or anyone could have taken the keys that were so graciously left hanging in the exterior knob with the door wide open. If I had a pet in the apartment they would have been gone. Management is completely aware of the situation and has done NOTHING to make it right. Property manager asked me to email her so she could attempt to make it right and my emails have all gone unanswered. And what was wrong with my furnace you might ask? The fuses in the breaker box were quite literally melting. The five star reviews you see for this place are extremely misleading as the front office harasses you for reviews when you first move in. I had post cards put into my mailbox for months begging for reviews (no postage= were not being placed there by authorized USPS personnel= federal offense). read more

Save your money ! Everybody is full of shit . I have been living with pest since I moved here in december. I pay almost 2,000$ to live here a month ! There is nowhere to park ! it's about 5 people living next door to me in a two bedroom apartment . Racists community and neighbors ! Why ? I'm not sure. The leasing office does not care about anything . I was told to live with the pest or mess my credit up and come out of more money by renting else where ! I am done talking . I am turning everything over to my attorney . The only thing you are paying for Is the landscaping .they do everything in their power to get you in here, once your in they could care less about you . Just moved into my apartment recently and the staff were super helpful prior to me renting. Christina gave me a virtual tour of the apartment and answered any question I had. She made the whole process of moving in very smooth and doubled check to make sure everything was clean prior to me moving in. Any maintenance problems I had where fixed reasonably fast. Additionally, the facilities here are very nice - gym, pool, tennis courts, racketball courts. After living here for a few months, the staff have been super friendly making sure everything is still good. read more

This place sucks. The management team here is rude. They enter your apartment without asking (I have video proof), they don't return calls, they lie to you straight to your face. Seriously, I've lived here 4 times. The first three were great. This time I've had nothing but issues. Look elsewhere. Save yourself a huge hassle!!! I just signed my third lease at Baxter Crossings. We moved here during COVID, so for the first summer all of the facilities on the property were closed, understandably. But since COVID this place has been a nightmare. Maintenance tickets sit for weeks. I have had a crack in my bathtub for almost two months and my washing machine has to go through 3-5 drain cycles so my laundry is not sopping wet when it comes out (1 month on that ticket). They replaced our windows last summer and left construction equipment outside of our units for weeks. The paint job on the railings looks like a toddler did it. I got falsely accused of not picking up after my dog when the office knows that there are people that live in a building with two dogs over the limit and they do not clean up after them. The women's bathroom at the clubhouse was without a working toilet and a stall had no door. There are machines in the gym that have been broken for months. The smaller pool has been closed for a month (and was closed periodically throughout the summer). The bigger pool was absolutely disgusting with floating hairs and bugs. Pools need daily maintenance with this many people using them. It looked like no one had skimmed it in weeks and the filters weren't being cleaned. Due to inflation and building in the area, my rent went up almost 20%. Again, this is understandable, but when I am paying $1500 a month, I expect to have that level of quality here. The staff in the office are very friendly and just trying to do their jobs. I have no complaint with them. Something has to change here or no one is going to be willing to pay these rent prices for this quality of living. read more

Apparently taking care of broken AC units in the middle of August is not a priority for the maintenance team here, until its above 80 degrees and unlivable. This is incredibly annoying, considering that many of us are working from home during this pandemic. The last time I put in a maintenance request, it took more than a month to take care of my broken kitchen sink here too (I literally had next to no running water in my kitchen for that time). Nice location. Beautiful grounds. Responsive maintenance. Reasonable price. Decent work out center.

I have lived here for about three months now! Pros: Dog friendly (with restrictions), safe and convenient location, gorgeous grounds, washer/dryer in every apartment, two pools, great fitness and weight training center, fireplaces, microwave included, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Cons: LOTS of noisy children running around, no off-leash area for your dog such as a dog park, pool is very shallow (3'6" maximum depth), hot tub is currently out of service and is an eyesore. This is my second apartment complex I have lived in and it is a huge improvement from the last place I lived in terms of safety and convenience. Although the neighbors can be noisy, I do not feel like any of them are "weirdo"s. They all seem normal, either young couples or students or small families. Maintenance so far has been good, I had a few complaints on move-in and they were handled pretty quickly. Office staff has been wonderful, as well. I would recommend this place to anyone, really. read more

Maintenance might as well be listed as not included in the rent price. After calling maintenance at least 6 times in two years, and them showing up and just adding coolant to a dead air conditioner, it's still not permanently fixed. Good luck to whoever moves into my old apartment because you will enjoy over 80 degrees inside during August before coolant is added a seventh time. Other items not fixed: the clothes wasdher, the kitchen faucet, the lights in the kitchen, the dining room light with a short in it, the plug in the dining room, the water heater (they just turned the water to scalding to make up for that). I do have to give them credit for one fix: after three calls, they finally fixed the shower faucet, but not until after they flooded the bathroom floor because they couldn't figure out how to turn off the water. The manager's response to my complains in writing: "after looking at your file, it is recorded that maintenance showed up every time you called." Apparently showing up is the same as fixing! Clearly she's just trying to get a bonus for not spending money on maintenance because two years ago, maintenance was fantastic. read more

Terrible management. My daughter's apartment was riddled with mold and apartment manager denied it. She cut her lease short and they gave her one day to remove all of her things. She had to throw away clothes, shoes, bed, dresser, and appliances because they were covered with mold. Management admitted that adjacent unit had the same problem. Renters insurance doesn't cover mold. Property management never returned phone calls. Other tenants also complain about unresolved issues. read more

Zero stars. The only good thing about this apartment is the location. The apartments are cheap and over priced. The paints chips off the walls and stains easily. The included amenities are poorly stocked. The gym equipment has been broken and never fixed for the last year we lived here despite multiple complaints. The pool now closes at 6 pm despite employees being there eating pizza within the pool and drinking alcohol while working. The basketball goals are dry-rotted and the court has potholes that have been poorly filled. The landscaping is no longer being properly managed. Hills are not being mowed leading to long grass and residents stepping on snakes by the playground area. The maintenance is fair however they do take a long time to fix complaints leading to the carpet being ripped out of our closet for over a month as well as holes in the walls for over a month. They also no longer award a Logan discount for students. If you are going to Logan university or living in chesterfield in general, do not rent from this complex. We will be informing Logan University to no longer recommend this complex to the over 80 new students each trimester. Logan students are leaving the complex in mass numbers. read more

I recently moved into Baxter Crossings. After having several disappointing experiences in apartment living, I was skeptical. However, I am thrilled to write a positive review of Baxter Crossings. The staff is effective, as well as, polite and accommodating. After asking for a few minor repairs, the maintenance staff was at my apartment within a couple of hours. They did not put me off or try to manipulate the situation. My requests were all completed by the efficient and friendly maintenance staff. I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a wonderful community with a dedication to the satisfaction to its residents. read more

Awful customer service with incompetent management. They are super nice so they can get you to sign the lease. Once you sign, they know they've got you and it all changes. Better hope you get lucky and nothing major happens. Minor maintenance (leaky faucets, broken disposal, etc.) is taken care of with prompt, if shoddy work that may require 2-3 visits to fix. But for anything major, you're on your own. It make take multiple complaints and eventually the threat of a lawsuit before they will do anything. Once you get the courts involved, or you complain the city, watch them try to cover their butts. They will lie and try to cover up and yes, finally fix your problem - but by then, you'll have lost all respect for the management. The maintenance supervisor (Scott) is rude and obnoxious and the property manager (Jackie) is incompetent. The poor leasing agents try, but cannot make up for the incompetence at the top. The concept of customer service is foreign to these folk. read more

I lived here from June 2014 through September 2016. The location is fabulous - several grocery stores within 2 miles, easy access to the highway, mall less than 1 mile away (and since the fireworks are there for the 4th of July, you can see them so easily!), outlet malls less than 5 miles away, my job was only 10 minutes away, and it's only about 20 minutes on the highway to get to downtown St. Louis. The grounds are great, with lots of trees, it feels very private even though the complex is huge, there are two pools, basketball courts, parks for kids, occasional community events (like outdoor movies in the summer), and parking areas and hallways are well lit - I always felt safe there. There is also plenty of parking (it does get a little tight when the parking lot is sealed once a year, but there are usually a fair amount of empty spaces). Maintenance requests were always handled promptly, and the guys were always very friendly. There is a really nice sized storage closet on the balcony, which is also large enough for several adults to sit out on comfortably. I did have one neighbor who would scream obscenities into her phone on a regular basis while out on her balcony, but that is hardly management's fault. Other than that, though, I didn't hear anything from my neighbors, which was great. The complex also allows dogs, and has a full sized washer and dryer, which is wonderful. I also really liked how many families lived there (even though I'm single, it made it feel more like a real home in a real neighborhood). I did take off one star because of the lack of insulation - the walls were pretty darn cold during the winter, and I could never figure out if the flue in the fireplace was properly closed, but overall I loved living here, and would definitely move back if I moved back to the St. Louis area.
