Bay Area All Strings & Bass provided the music for our one-hour wedding at San Francisco City Hall in October 2023. The violinist and cello were accomplished musicians, whose presence greatly added to the event. Georgina worked with our concerns for the list of pieces to be played, and even created a duet score for "Voici le Printemps," a Saint-Saens piece from an opera. The whole experience was seamless. Ok for cocktail background music. Not happy with ceremony music mix-up. After 5 months of email exchanges with Georgina, the musicians who showed up were confused. They made their own assumptions and decided what would be played. No one asked questions for clarity, even when the musician greeted me upon arrival. My bridal procession song which I paid extra for was played for the wedding party procession instead. Then they continued to loop it, so I did not get a cue of when to walk down the aisle. Overall, I feel they lacked communication to confirm with me and my coordinator. read more

I hired a harpist and violinist to play at my intimate (less than 40 people) outdoor wedding in Livermore. The violinist was WONDERFUL, showed up early, set up and was a pleasure to interact with. The harpist was not. He showed up late, was not prepared for our venue (outside) and in all ways acted like a "diva". He needed help moving his harp to the designated and covered area - which required my family to do so minutes before the ceremony. All of this meant that instead of playing for 15 minutes before the ceremony, they started late and began with all of us walking in to be seated. Not the plan. Once they started -- with music that was not previously selected -- it was beautiful. But, the harpist's attitude really was uncalled for. I felt bad for the violinist who, like all of us, was at a loss for where the harpist was prior to the ceremony. Weddings don't need drama from the vendors they hire. I suggest that the harpist be reprimanded and, if that doesn't work, asked not to continue providing music at weddings. read more
