This is upstairs platform above pool. Facing East.

I have been a member for three years. I am very satisfied. The variety of classes,,availibility of services and hourly scheduling are great. BAAC has an entire upper floor dedicated to weight training, ellipticals etc. Their hours of operation give me the most flexibility with personal schedule. The staff are friendly and personable and the facility is clean and maintained well.

this place is filthy, the Jacuzzi has an oil slick that floats there every day the weight machines are old and rusty some dating back to the early 1960 or late 1950's a lot of the equipment is unsafe for members to use but complaints about broken equipment goes ignores by staff & management the facility is never cleaned by staff and it looks like this has been the policy here for years. the build up of mold id a problem also a note the pictures in the advertisements above are not of the bay area fitness club( don't be fooled)

Notice of substandard conditions!!! Don't pay for a substandard gym!

This place is a dump. The city has a notice of substandard building sticker in the front window. Owner never fixes anything and is a jerk. If you sign his waiver to go here then you're willing to risk injury or death and you cannot hold them accountable regardless of how neglected the facility is. Read before you sign. Buyer beware!!! I'm posting this from the ER after the elliptical machine broke while I was mid stride. I hyperextended my knee and fell to the floor next to the other already broken machines. The whole place could just fall down and kill everyone and the owner will still be sailing around the world with no repercussions. Use at your own risk!!!!

This place looks dingy from the outside but its not so bad on the inside. I got the one month pass for $69. The machines are pretty new and I really like that they have a steam room and dry sauna. The parking situation blows when its busy in the AM.

We've since brought friends in to check out this great gym, and Tanya was happy to give us a tour as walk-ins--thank you! I'll update this review later, but so far, I've only ever found rock climbing gyms to be this exciting. I really appreciate the wide range of activities and options available here. It's kid-inclusive, disability-inclusive, and offers designated times and spaces to make certain areas safer for different groups. There's also a spa with many services, plus other highlights like a fresh juice and food café, saltwater pools, a rock climbing wall, hot tub, kids' area, online classes, and rotating displays of local artists' work each month. I ran into a family member and my obgyn which was pleasant. I could go on. It also happens to be a place where AMR ambulances are stationed while waiting for calls, which is pretty unique. Love it. The one downside I'll mention has to do with gym members, not gym itself. It is important to share though. One experience we had at the pool last July. While pregnant, I regularly swam laps as part of my exercise routine. One day, I invited friends visiting from Oakland to join my partner and me at CNW. One of my friends is an excellent swimmer and instructor. While we were swimming laps, we noticed repeated, intentional, and uncomfortable staring from a group of men in the hot tub. I asked if they were waiting for the pools or something. We were not breaking any rules, being disorderly, or abusing time limits. The energy was noticeable and felt by ALL of us. Perhaps it's worth noting that some older, Caucasian gym members may prefer an environment that reflects Oregon's earlier history. I'm not saying CNW itself is racist, but it would feel incomplete not to share what we experienced that day.

We had a party here, which they plan after a full day of kids playing in there so it's not sanitized before. And they are worried about outside food or drink yet have literal sh*t on the floor. Our toddler is now sick from being there, definitely will never be back.

My husband was curious about the levels of players and if there were advanced players. We were told they have people of all levels from beginners to more advanced. They also have leagues and couples nights. Michelle introduced us to her husband Steven who invited my husband for a hit and they ended up playing a few games after. My husband has played tennis for a long time but fell in love with padel. Since there isn't padel in the area and he likes all racquet sports - it was so nice to be so warmly welcomed and that he had fun playing. All the members playing that I talked to were incredibly friendly and inviting. Also, I loved that they had a little workout area which worked out perfectly for me since we're visiting and I don't have any dumbbells where we're staying so I was able to get a workout in. As an introvert - I would say if you are an introvert and reading this and debating on if you should go. I'd say go. The place is nicely lit and has skylights. There are multiple sitting areas, there's music playing and the vibes are good. The owners are suuuper friendly, Ashley the person working at the desk was super kind & informative and the members were very nice. We ended up going back so my husband could play a few more games and we look forward to going back again in the future.

It's been almost 2 years since this occurred, but I still think about it every so often. At first,…read moreI didn't want to be "that person" who goes on a rant on the review section, but this review has to do with the impact this particular CrossFit had on many lives. Flashback: March 2019. Covid-19. Most of us afraid. Will our families survive? How will life look during a pandemic? Then news hit. Gyms, entertainment facilities, and restaurants in Oregon to close. At first, I felt this gym was "semi" fair in allowing people to borrow some equipment. I was able to borrow a bar, a kettle, and a few rubber plates. That was nice, but I just can't stop thinking about the fact that they were still charging us the full premium for a percentage of the effort. Two zoom classes offered per day, both during typical 9-5 working hours. Workouts were posted with machines that we didn't have access to, or at least most of us didn't i.e. rowing machines. See, I understand wanting to take care of your family, but at the cost of others? I think about the people who lost their jobs during the pandemic and how you were still drafting 130+ (depending on how many months they signed up for) out of their banking account. In my case it was around $160.00. I was extremely fortunate to have a job during the pandemic, but I don't get how I was paying a large premium for two zoom classes that were during my working hours. The sell point of CrossFit is competing with a group while getting a form of training in a group setting. All of that was removed from the situation and so the cost should have followed, in my personal opinion. If you had decreased the cost to $50-$70, I wouldn't feel so taken aback by the choices made by this facility. A percentage of the work on your part for the full price. Most of us work for our money, and I feel you should have worked for yours, or decreased to alleviate others during a difficult time. I wasn't the only one plagued by these actions, others with whom I came into contact with felt the same way. I just want others to think twice before they choose this CrossFit. I would have happily supported your survival by paying $50-$70, just to keep your dream of having a gym alive, but because of the actions taken during a critical time in so many lives, I could never support this business or this business owner, Andrew, again. I encourage anyone taking the time to read this review to choose a different branch of CrossFit and to not support CrossFit Intensify. -Taylor

In my time there I have seen young and old come and workout here with no issues. The gym being as large as it is gives a good selection of things to do. All the equipment is new and very well maintained. However it being such a great gym means more people and your typical busy hours are BUSY. 5-7 pm is a madhouse. If you can swing earlier or later than that I would unless you don't mind waiting for equipment. This gym has free classes that a treated as first come first serve which is very nice. My wife had done their spin class and loves it. Also they have included with membership FREE tans in very nice tanning beds. I believes they have about 8 beds and I have never had to wait for one. That being said if you did have to wait, they have comfortable seating as well as FREE fully body massage chairs in a dim lit room to relax in. I have been a member of many gyms and this one for what it offers at the low price of 25.00$ a MONTH! It's an amazing deal. I have one complaint and this I believe is aimed more towards gym goers than staff. The men's locker room specifically the bathroom side has been very dirty at times. I don't know if it's the carelessness of the members to splash water all over the sink and floor or to not flush the toilets and leave paper towels on the ground but come on, grown ass adults here clean up your shit. This is a very busy gym with people coming and going throughout the day and staff can't singlehandedly stay on top of picking up after all the dirty people. Clean up your shit. Long story short, 25$ includes gym, classes, massage chairs, and tanning. Try and top that anywhere else in the area.
