This gym is a universe! Stacy signed us up in the spring of 2025 and gave us an awesome tour of Club NW. We've since brought friends in to check out this great gym, and Tanya was happy to give us a tour as walk-ins--thank you! I'll update this review later, but so far, I've only ever found rock climbing gyms to be this exciting. I really appreciate the wide range of activities and options available here. It's kid-inclusive, disability-inclusive, and offers designated times and spaces to make certain areas safer for different groups. There's also a spa with many services, plus other highlights like a fresh juice and food café, saltwater pools, a rock climbing wall, hot tub, kids' area, online classes, and rotating displays of local artists' work each month. I ran into a family member and my obgyn which was pleasant. I could go on. It also happens to be a place where AMR ambulances are stationed while waiting for calls, which is pretty unique. Love it. The one downside I'll mention has to do with gym members, not gym itself. It is important to share though. One experience we had at the pool last July. While pregnant, I regularly swam laps as part of my exercise routine. One day, I invited friends visiting from Oakland to join my partner and me at CNW. One of my friends is an excellent swimmer and instructor. While we were swimming laps, we noticed repeated, intentional, and uncomfortable staring from a group of men in the hot tub. I asked if they were waiting for the pools or something. We were not breaking any rules, being disorderly, or abusing time limits. The energy was noticeable and felt by ALL of us. Perhaps it's worth noting that some older, Caucasian gym members may prefer an environment that reflects Oregon's earlier history. I'm not saying CNW itself is racist, but it would feel incomplete not to share what we experienced that day. read more

The kids club section is disgusting. They clearly do not clean or sanitize anything. The ball pits have mold. The toilets had feces on them, there was feces on the floor of the bathroom. We had a party here, which they plan after a full day of kids playing in there so it's not sanitized before. And they are worried about outside food or drink yet have literal sh*t on the floor. Our toddler is now sick from being there, definitely will never be back. read more

I came here for 4 days while in town visiting. I travel a lot and see a lot of different gyms. This is a great facility. They offer a very reasonable day pass ($22) that's good for 24 hours. Hannah at the front desk is an absolute rockstar. She was very welcoming and gave me some awesome recommendations for local places to see and things to do. The gym is spacious with good quality weights, machines and cardio equipment. The sauna was solid too. I'll be back for sure. read more

Huge gym with lots of equipment. The startup fee and dues are high and difficult to manage for most people. The gym has recently seen a large influx of new patrons who receive their membership for little or no cost through Oregon Health Plan. Conclusion: Expensive, Crowded, Great Selection of Equipment (if you can use it). read more

This rating is strictly for their food service area/cafe. The other facilities have been very good. First, nobody wears food gloves when making menu items, and the few times I was there, never saw anyone wash their hands before making something. I don't think any of the employees know anything about health codes or just basic sanitary standards. Or. They don't care. As I was waiting for my smoothie a while back, I watched the woman assemble an open sandwich (no gloves). As she was layering the cheese, a small piece broke off. She then put that small piece of cheese into her mouth. As this piece of cheese was pretty small, she put her three fingers holding the cheese into her mouth, closing her mouth on the cheese, and, fingers. She then continued to finish putting more product onto the sandwich. Never washing or even wiping her fingers. So, bluntly, her saliva was on that sandwich. Another time, someone else dropped a piece of banana on the counter after it was peeled. Picked it up and put it in someone's smoothie. I have never seen (the half dozen times I have been there), clean off the counter. I'm betting there is no sanitized water with a towel ready to use. So, the club is very nice and I do NOT suggest anyone eat there. Thank you for your time. read more

The gym itself is great. If you don't need any help at the front desk, this is a 5 star gym. The front desk rarely knows what to do or how to help, needing to go elsewhere to find help. I've been trying to get things straight for an entire week because they've switched from Allcare and keep getting the runaround. A+ for a beautiful gym...but your staff need serious training behind that desk. read more

It's so unfortunate that a nice club like this is so irresponsible and less than professional or responsive. Seems all the staff are kids and management takes your money and then ghosts you. I canceled after a one month trial, got the cancel letter but then they billed and took my money. Pretty hard to get a call back, even if you go in there, rarely anyone who can talk and actually help you. When I got the cancel letter it was not even signed with a name. Total rip off and the membership fee is astronomical and greedy. I know they're are a lot of members so they truly don't really care if you leave or how satisfied you are. "Show me the money"!! read more

For how much the memberships are you think this place would have more to offer. The steam room is also broken 70-80 percent of the year. Not sure where all the money goes. I guess the 20 thousand dollar rocks and crystals you see on the counters. read more

Steamroom has been closed for over a year... Get it together. They string you along and say "Next Month" and clearly it won't because someone died in the men's steamroom and a lawsuit is pending.... I call B.S. read more

Place has gone down hill the last couple years. They assume since there the only "up scale gym" in town they can give horrible service and have very little regards to the members. Paid for a years membership for my mother to use the pool for exercise and with that she gets guest passes. Well you can't use them unless she's walks you in like a child to day care and sign you in! This is one awesome sports complex, for the small town of Grants Pass. Rivals many big city sports complexes. The reason I picked this club for membership, is they offer a huge salt water pool, with lap lanes, and pool exercise area. They also have a 'warm therapy pool' that is kept around 93 or 94 degrees. Superb spa tub as well, that seats about 10 very comfortably, and is kept at 103 or 104 degrees. The exercise equipment appears first rate and good technology. I am so happy that this kind of facility exists. It is a Godsend to my back and bad knees. You can feel very comfortable here. All ages use the facility. Not just the sveldt gym bunnies. Nice sunning area too. Private lockers, shower area, steam room and dry sauna. As you can imagine, it is not inexpensive,, but good value for the type of facility it is. They have a senior program that is a bit reduced in price. Since I am only in Oregon for about 6-7 months a year (the rest of the time in Palm Springs, CA), they offer a membership "freeze", where I can pay a far reduced fee to keep my membership active while out of the area. They are also members of a national gym group, so for a small fee you can purchase a card good a hundreds of gyms around the country, and Canada. read more

I've made several appointments to tour the gym because they won't let you buy a membership unless you do the tour. We were told to sit down bc the person they scheduled us to see was busy. The manager walked up and told the employee that if anyone got mad about the wait, to just call them later. There was 8 people waiting for the same person in the lobby so we left. That's what happens when you let children run your establishment. read more

New to the club. I really like it so far. Clean, nice equipment and staff. The price is a bit high monthly and start up fees should be drastically reduced. It can get a bit stuffy. This might be because much of the area is carpeted. This gym does have a lot more amenities than other gyms in the area (pool and classes mainly). 4 stars because of the price. $100 PER PERSON, PER MONTH (PLUS FEES) -- $200 A MONTH TOTAL (PLUS FEES) FOR MY HUSBAND AND I, OR $600 PLUS SIGN UP FEES FOR THE THREE MONTHS WE'D BE IN TOWN When my family and I were in the area for a short time two years ago, we had a temporary family pass for under a hundred bucks a month -- my husband and I and our two high school aged sons. At that time the gym was top notch and even though it was very busy in the evenings there were enough machines to find something to do. That being said, we are in the area again and today I went in to re-start our membership. I was met with an enthusiastic welcome by the staff behind the desk. When I asked about re-starting, I was told by the sales manager that I had to make an appointment, even though it seemed like there were a lot of people just standing behind the counter. I asked several times, "Can we just restart the membership? I'm not interested in the sales pitch. I've been here before." No luck. So I came back in an hour, for my appointment. It seemed like it was difficult for someone to find the person who was supposed to talk to me. I was asked to fill out a new member form. I explained that they should still have the one that I filled out an hour before, when I had first come in. I pointed behind the counter, where my form was. I waited ten minutes to be called back, and then I was handed off to another salesperson from the sales manager, who my original appointment was with. I think it was because I had a very little chance of producing any commission with my temporary membership. Cue the sales pitch. Bleh. I was shown the secret folder with the prices and assumed that the $100 (plus all start up costs) was for my husband and I both. I was then told that it was per person. (Yikes, I thought. While the money isn't a big deal to me, I just don't like to throw it out the window. $200 a month, in my humble opinion -- and even with the amazing facilities -- is simply ridiculous.) The nice salesman then told me that since we'd be moving out of the area, that I could sign us up on a regular membership and then just cancel it when we leave. Having played that game before, and having awful luck with the billing departments in places far away like Phoenix and Milwaukee -- I wasn't interested. Especially after I was told that membership would be $79 each, for my husband and I -- "saving" us $42 a month. I explained to the salesman our previous pricing, for my whole family. He said he hadn't heard of that pricing scale and went to ask the sales manager about it, in a separate office, but within hearing range. I didn't really appreciate it that the sales manager made it seem like I was lying. Guys I could hear you talking! I told the salesman thanks but no thanks. I reminded him that he had my number if they decide to lower their prices. I didn't have the energy, or really cared at that point, to bring up the fact that several of their members (who are my friends) had already told me they give deep discounts for people like teachers and public employees. The best club I ever went to. Hands down. There's plenty of machines and freeweight. The kids club is endless. Not like ours- a room with a TV and some infant toys. This place has an entire gymnastics studio for the kids. That's great because the whole family gets exercise. That's priceless. New equipment on top of that. read more

I seriously love this gym! I've tried so many different gyms in the rogue valley. Some of them, the equipment was too big for me since I'm only 5' tall. I am able to use almost all of the equipment at club NW and it's a super friendly environment. It's a little bit expensive. But, all of the awesome amenities make it worth it! read more

Be careful with their contracts! After I joined the gym because I worked in Grants Pass (and wanted to work out after work), I was unexpectedly transferred to Ashland where I live and work. When I spoke with the manager about canceling my membership, she said I had to move or be transferred more than 100 miles to cancel membership. 100 miles!!!??? Who in their right mind drives 99 miles to work out in Southern Oregon? One could practically live in Eugene and still be expected to drive to GP to work out. No flexibility, we offered to pay half of remaining dues, but nope. No deal. To top it off, I have to call back in December to cancel my membership, I couldn't do it it August---they're counting on me forgetting and getting "auto-renewed" for "my convenience" and hooked into another year. Bad bad customer service and responsiveness. Think twice (or more) before signing up here. read more

I can't understand why this club isn't rated 5 stars by everyone! The equipment is top notch, they have the biggest and coolest kids center I've ever seen. Drop off your kids and get a work out then hot tube, sauna and shower in peace and quiet. Get a facial and hair cut all in the same facility. It's awesome! read more

This facility seems designed for the younger and more fit. Very few exercises choices for Seniors. Water Yoga is available, but that's about it. They are missing a bet by overlooking Seniors exercising on the machines, or an exercise group for beginners to help with balance. The Y offers much more for seniors than Club Northwest. read more

I called to talk about a membership prices and he wouldn't talk to me over the phone, said it would take too long. I don't live in town and was shopping for a gym. So he said when I came into town stop it and check them out. I told him I have three crazy kids, who don't sit well, and if it's too long to talk on the phone, it's going to be too long for my kids to wait. He then says I can drop them off at the their KidsZone for 6.95 a kid. So, for 21 bucks I can come in and listen to you talk about things you could just tell me over the phone. I know what I want from a gym, I don't need to be walked through the free weights and cardio machines. He REFUSED to talk prices over the phone. In fact, he started to get rude about the fact about he wasn't going to talk about it over the phone. Why would I want to do business with someone who can't even talk about the price of their membership with someone who wants to be a member? He referred me to their webpage to "check them out". I said I did and now what's missing is their price. He said there are too many options to talk over the phone, come in and then we'll talk, until then he won't talk on the phone. read more

I love this gym! I read some of the other reviews and all I can say is " were they having a bad day and needed to lash out? For the woman that complained about the " hard sale " on products. .. have you heard of the words NO thank you? I joined the gym and yes they offered their products, I already am with a wellness company and simply said no and that was the end of it... and beauty products and having any kind of spa treatments ARE expensive . I have had the best time here with my son and I will go here as long as I can do so. I highly recommend this gym. read more

I love the club. It is the happiest place on earth...well at least in Grants Pass. I take advantage of all of their services from the KidZone (I have three crazy boys) to the classes, and aquatic center. The staff is so motivating and nice, I never feel judged just support for my hard work. Getting in shape and staying in shape is easier because of Club Northwest...I am back to my pre-baby weight because of their facility and caring staff. read more

One of the best gyms I've ever been too. They display different artist on there walls monthly. They pick members of the month. The have a salt water pool with a sand volley ball court. Friendly service and people. Love getting a great tasting smoothie at there smoothie bar after my workout! :-) read more

This is a really nice gym fully equipped and run by some very nice people . Pool and jacuzzi is always clean and they also have a spa plus a juice bar . It's never that busy even though a lot of people come through the door everyday . Racquetball courts too . read more

This place is amazing. I cannot believe it. I visited this random town and needed to get to the gym for a day. They only charged me like $10 (I think, it was a good enough value to not remember the price) to workout for the whole day (swimming, volleyball, cycle class, yoga studio access, name it!), knowing I was an out of towner and that I wouldn't be able to join- they still treated me so kindly. If I ever do move, I am highly considering Grants Pass simply because of this business. Seriously- great work, inspiring place. Excellent sports club, spa, salon ,kids zone, lounge, and conference room. Enjoy the privacy of the womens gym and dry and steam sauna. All areas are kept clean frequently. Throughout the gym are water stations, cloth towels, wipes provided for cleaning equipment as used. The staff is helpful and friendly and the club is opened 7 days a week with a list of classes designed to meet needs of various interests. read more
