I came in for a…read morediabetic foot ulcer -- an urgent medical issue that can lead to serious infection or even amputation if not treated promptly. The day before, I specifically confirmed by phone that they accepted my insurance. However, upon arrival, the receptionist said she wasn't sure if they actually did. The receptionist was noticeably rude and dismissive, speaking over me while I tried to explain the situation -- even in front of other patients, which made the experience even more humiliating. Despite my urgency and visible concern, she provided no clear answers and failed to check my insurance in a timely manner. I later learned she had been in the back speaking with Dr. Andrew Rasiah, who is new to the practice, yet he never came out to assist or clarify what was happening. This lack of communication and professionalism was deeply disappointing. Because of the confusion and disregard I experienced, I had to leave without receiving care. This not only caused significant emotional stress but also delayed the treatment I urgently needed, putting my health at risk. The office staff clearly needs better training in patient communication, professionalism, and compassion -- particularly when dealing with seniors and those facing potentially life-threatening conditions. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, empathy, and basic courtesy. I highly recommend that others find more professional care at reputable podiatry for their foot issues, especially for those with diabetes.

(We have had experience getting another toe taken care of before we moved to California and thought it would be a straightforward surgery.) This time it was multiple visits, constant infection and pain. It took months before the infection was totally gone. At times my wife felt her infected toe was an annoyance to the doctor. And now, unfortunately, my wife is left with a disfigured big toe that will never have a normal toe nail ever again. (see picture) We do not recommend Dr. Erickson.

It's a little bit of a hunt to find the office, but it's worth it. She took my case seriously, got x-rays, and then give my foot a thorough exam. I admit I screamed a few times, but it was good pain. She isolated the problem to a few possibilities, and suggested an MRI, which I'll be getting soon. I was impressed with Dr Erickson's grasp of her field. It's not often I encounter someone so capable. (And we engineers are not easily impressed.) Dr. Erickson is clearly an extraordinarily intelligent person. I'm pretty sure she's a rocket scientist or a quantum physicist in her spare time.

Then Dr. Ahmad came for the first time. He and his staff were amazingly more gentle, more thorough and detailed, and always continually did the follow-up necessary for residents. I have also had my own not-so-ideal experience with a podiatrist. So I switched to Dr. Ahmad, even though I have a long couple hour drive to get to his office.
