The doctor described the tendons as "shredded." This was not exactly the adjective I was hoping for, and surgery was required. The surgery was uneventful, and took place right across the street at Hacienda Surgery Center. On my next visit to the doctor he provided color photos of my surgery. It's sort of like doing selfies, except you're unconscious. Several weeks later, I was in the capable hands of the onsite physical therapist, Mark Snyder, assisted by his capable assistant. Karen. These folks are excellent-- professional, as well as friendly. I sometimes call Mark, "Mr.Pain." It was originally, "Dr. Pain," but he reminded me he was not yet a doctor. I don't know why I came up with that nickname for Mark. During physical therapy, whilst icing my shoulder, the PT team allows me to watch the TV show, "Sherri." This is part of Mark's therapy, and provided at no extra charge. I am always pleased with the proficiency professionalism and courtesy of the great staff here. A top tier medical practice happens neither easily or quickly. Doctor Bell is a very capable surgeon. I would not go anywhere else. But please don't tell the physical therapist that I call him Mr.Pain. That nickname might be misinterpreted , and they might cut me off from the "Sherri" TV show.

On a prior visit he diagnosed an arm problem and performed elbow surgery for me. Afterwards, he recommended several weeks of arm therapy. Everything worked very well and I was very pleased. Of course, I still have three screws in my elbow, but that is normal, and I hardly ever notice. I now am more careful about riding my bike around railroad tracks. Today the doctor looked into a case of shoulder pain. Everyone was incredibly efficient and the doctor got to the bottom of the problem quite rapidly. This time, I don't need to get any screws put into body parts. It's just a minor thing called a spur I was treated with courtesy and professionalism at all times. Honestly, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Plus, they gave me a free Webster Orthopedics bag for being a good sport.

Persistent Knee Pain After Multiple Surgeries…read more Last year, I underwent my first arthroscopy and partial meniscectomy with a different doctor at Golden State Orthopedics. Due to ongoing pain in my right knee after that initial surgery, I was referred to Dr. Elrashidy. Dr. Elrashidy initially recommended extensive physical therapy, and I completed at least 30 sessions. However the pain did not resolve, leading us to pursue a second surgery for Hoffa's Pad removal. It has now been three months since this second procedure, and I am still experiencing the same level of pain I had before the surgery. Concerns Regarding Post-Surgical Care Following my second surgery, I've had three follow-up sessions. However, Dr. Elrashidy has been absent from all of these appointments; his Physician Assistant (PA) has attended in his place. Dr. Elrashidy had assured me he would help manage my knee pain, but I feel he has become disengaged since the surgery. This situation is extremely frustrating.

I was stooped over, bending sideways to the right, moaning, grunting with each step that I took, and holding myself up with a cane. Dr. Shinnaman began with accupuncture. The first needle that he inserted into my back hurt so much that I almost screamed, but by the sixth needle, I was able to tolerate the pain. By the end of the day, my sciatica had significantly subsided. Dr. Shinnaman does not just push pills to manage my pain. Over the course of the next several weeks, he continued to treat me with accupuncture and injections. By the third time that I saw him, I was almost pain free. I'm able to sleep again, walk upright again, and I'm not grunting and moaning with excruciating pain with every step that I take. I'm still seeing Dr. Shinnaman to complete my course of treatment, but he's giving me my life back. I've been treated by another back physician, but his two rounds of injections had done nothing. Even one of the best neurosurgeon at UCSF said, "this is exactly what you need". Go see him if you are in pain and nothing seems to have worked.

Over the past several months, communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional. I have had to repeatedly follow up for updates, only to receive vague responses or no resolution at all. A medical clinic should operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability, especially when handling patients' finances. While the staff may have initially appeared helpful, failing to honor a promised refund for this long is unacceptable. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully review financial policies and documentation before making payments. As far as communication, I am very disappointed with the level of communication and professionalism from this clinic. Since February, I have called on seven different occasions and left multiple voicemails requesting a call back from the manager regarding my unresolved refund issue. I got PT with Dave for 6 months and that's what kept me going for short walks, before I finally decided to go for minimally invasive laminectomy and facetectomy surgery by Dr Saqib Hasan in Nov last year and with God's blessings and Dr Hasan's expertise my pain was completely gone and was walking around the same day.
