I wanted to write this review, even though my experience is from 2017, because I was looking at his page and the majority of the review are filtered. I am hoping this one will make it through the algo. Nathan cut down the barrel on my SCAR 17 and pinned and welded the muzzle device to make it compliant. I was going to shoot at some private property in a couple days and he was able to accommodate my time restrictions. The accuracy was unchanged and it performed just as well before the modification. I measured the barrel by sticking a dowel down it with the bolt closed and it came out to 16.1", which is exactly what I asked for. Highly recommended. No complaints. read more

I read Nathan's Yelp reviews before "Darkening his Door". My fellow yelpers were on target. Good guy, knowledgeable and professional. He has now completed work on two of my guns and has a third that he is working on now. He is my go to guy now. The only drawback is turn around time. Because it is so "politically incorrect" to be a gun owner, there are not alot of gunsmiths in the area. Because of the high demand and Nathan's high quality of work, he is in high demand. I brought my 16 gauge browning A5 to these guys with a broken safety and a cracked stock. They were able to fix the trigger well without breaking my stock so I could continue to use the gun for the rest of the season then get it replaced. It shot well the next weekend. I have been shooing for over 40 years and can fix most things that go wrong. Over the years I've had to take a few guns to other guns smiths for things I didn't have the tools for. Most of them did not do what I asked, but what they thought I needed. Nathan listens and does not bullshit or tell something to make himself look better. He's a hard working and damn good gunsmith. Needed some help with my AR upper in a pinch so I called up Nathan since he was the closest gunsmith in the area. He was very professional on the phone and I was impressed with his workshop.
