Great personable service. Made small chat while my significant other and I signed the Recall Newsom petition. The area was clean, walkways clearly marked, distancing enforced. They limited customers into the shop. We were there just prior to closing but they did not make us feel rushed by any means. Came in a few times here to ask questions and window shop, finally years later I was in need to do a transfer from a friend which I had never done before. Steve Smith was super helpful and accommodating with helping me along the process. I often find places have snobby/snarky staff well this place isn't one of those. After taking my gun and safety test after clearing the BG check and completing the transfer I placed an item on hold that I found online more importantly this shop had a lower price! I was very weary to come here being a minority but Steve made me feel comfortable as well as another older gentleman in the past. Although there isn't much stock of anything these days I definitely recommend checking these guys out. No hassle less stress! read more

Rinkor Arms has great staff, friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Which along with their wide selection, is why we chose Rinkor Arms. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED... We purchased a used firearm (bolt action .22) The rifle did not function. It did not fire, or load the rounds properly without aid. They offered to have a gunsmith look at it, which was nice of them. After waiting a couple of weeks, we are informed that it would be a few months before the gunsmith would inspect the rifle They offered a refund, which is nice of them as well. The refund would not include the paperwork fee, which is about $100. So now we are left with a couple choices: -Wait several weeks for a gunsmiths to "possibly" fix it.. -Take the refund and lose $100.. Or -Keep the nonfunctioning firearm. Well (throwing our hands up in the air) We will seek our own gunsmith and keep the rifle. As consolation for selling us a non-functioning firearm: RINKOR ARMS offered us a free box of ammo...... SERIOUSLY???!!! SERIOUSLY?????!!!!!! A free box of ammo for a non-functioning rifle???? Same as singing to the deaf. Same as painting a work of art for the blind. Or adding gasoline to a car with no engine. SAME AS A SLAP IN THE FACE! :( Hey Rinkor Arms? Don't you have a reputation to maintain? Its understandable that a used firearm is sold as is. I needed to do a firearm transfer and a couple of friends recommended Rinkor Arms. I thought it would be a long, arduous process, but the guys at Rinkor were very accommodating and helpful. Exercised my 2nd amendment yesterday and took home my first firearm. The Sig Sauer p238 with alloy and stainless steel. For now it's a paper weight lol you've probably heard ammo has sold out just as fast as toilet paper. These times are so unreal and real enough that it's also unbelievable! The size and feel fit in my hand perfectly. I'm excited to pick up the extra mags I ordered and some ammo just as soon as they get it. The staff is really helpful and friendly too. I was concerned they were going to close during the shelter. I spoke with a woman last week and she said as long as national guard doesn't go in and exercise Marshall law, they will stay open to serve their community. Absolutely love that! I moved to town recently and was looking for a local gun shop to connect with. I have been very impressed with Rinkor Arms. The staff has been very helpful and professional. I had a great experience after having a HORRIBLE one in Petaluma. I drove up, and all the guys, although very busy that day, bent over backwards to help me narrow down what I wanted. I have never bought a gun in my life I don't really plan on it honestly that's not what this review is about I woke up one morning got a ticket for going 80mph on the freeway. Then, went to Trader Joe's with my last $20 to buy food on my 'bad day' Then I went to the bank to deposit some change I had. As I was turning right onto Mendocino Ave i was reaching for my seatbelt it locked and I was trying to get it on panicking I looked back to see if it was tangled. Next thing I new I was in my car on a 90 degree day and it was raining on Mendocino Avenue. I had hit the fire hydrant in front of Rinkor Arms. The employees rushed our and asked if I was okay and comforted me and called 911. I was in shock I couldn't say anything except nod my head. I think this shows the compassion these employees have. And they care about everyone, even though I didn't buy anything. Nobody else helped me in all the cars that drove by. And they comforted me the most. I don't know what I would have done without them. So if you're in doubt of this place, Yeah buy here because obviously these people deserve every bit of good karma. I took Rinkor Arms basic handgun manipulation class and it was amazing. Very methodical, slow moving, easy to follow and empowering. They were respectful, thoughtful and really wanted to make us all feel empowered and safe. I felt self conscious going into the class and a little scared. I recently attended the Basic Handgun Manipulation Course RBHM1 they offer prior to trying to obtain my Firearm Safety Certificate. The class is three hours along and initially I was not looking forward to taking a class but I knew it help. The class exceeded my exceptions. Mike and Brian were great instructors and made the class highly interactive. The class alone is a great study guide for the test and also is hands on with targets. I purchased a SIG 1911 at Rinkor Arms on March 20th 2020 for ~$1200. When I went to pick up the the firearm 11 days later I was told I had failed the state background check. I explained to the guy behind the counter (short, dark hair) that this was surely a mistake as my 2006 H&S 11357(a) possession of cannabis conviction had been reduced to a misdemeanor and expunged back in 2008. It turns out that the state failed to update its records and then also failed to set aside the conviction, as under Prop 64, possession of cannabis is no longer a crime. Instead of working with me the guy I was talking to pressured me into taking a check for ~$860 (they charge a 25% restocking fee). In a respectful manner, I repeatedly asked him if there was a grace period for me to get my record in order and he said no. He also claimed that he would be unable to sell the firearm to someone else for 90 days, hence the high restocking fee. Defeated, I took the check and left. A $360 loss! Here is the kicker: A friend of mine who was also unaware of a past felony cannabis conviction walked into the same store 10 minutes after me to pick up a firearm he had purchased there with me 11 days prior. Instead of being pressured into taking a refund, he was offered help in getting his record set straight! Rinkor offered to hold onto the firearm and even supplied him instructions on how to get his record in order. Why Rinkor staff would treat two customers with the same problem so differently within a 10 minute time frame is a mystery to me! I'm all ears if someone from Rinkor wants to contact me to discuss this. read more

Fifty years ago I served in the military, qualifying with an M16 but after my service I haven't been around firearms. Wanting to be comfortable camping in the boondocks during my retirement, I decided it was time to purchase a handgun.
