Updated 2-star review: After repeated calls and nudges from my workplace's HR department, BAIS finally completed the electronic I-9 verification the final day it was due before becoming invalid. During the pandemic, I do my best to write recommending reviews to help support local businesses. However, the services provided at BAIS was so subpar that I felt responsible to inform my fellow friends in the Yelp community to exercise caution and discourage using this service. -- Previous 1-star review: I am very disappointed in BAIS. I came here to get a remote I-9 verification. When I inquired about their service online, they informed me of a $85 fee. Given CA laws that notaries are not allowed to verify I-9s, I knew that I had limited options of completing this time-sensitive necessary work form. I came in on Tuesday and informed them that my employer requires the I-9 to be completed on their online portal. They said they would need to charge an additional $15 for this service ($100 total), which I found rather excessive, but I was running out of options and had already traveled 40 minutes to get here. I said ok, so they proceeded to fill out the paper copy and told me they would complete the electronic when the link was made available. The next day, HR reaches out to them and me with the link to complete the I-9 online. No response. The form must be completed within 3 days from the work start date (same day I came in) otherwise it becomes invalid. I called them Wednesday to remind them to complete their work, and they told me they would get it done soon. On Thursday, I don't hear from them or HR, so I assume that they completed this action item that takes maybe 10 minutes at most. Nope! I was wrong. I get an email from my employers HR saying that it is the LAST day my I-9 can be verified, and they have yet to hear from BAIS. Although BAIS knows that the I-9 is a time-sensitive matter and I already paid them, they failed to complete the verification in a timely manner. I unfortunately cannot recommend BAIS and encourage you to find another organization for your immigration, visa, and document verification needs. read more

Her web form website doesn't work and then after she gets your money she will not complete what she is supposed to do without bait and switch and trying to upsale you all the while calling you Honey! Partial quote from a previous review, "Fraud... please stay away from her.. this is run by an Indian lady named Alka.. she seems nice at first and will make all the fake promises.. she is a money minded lady" but totally true! My recent experience with BAIS showed that they are the most inefficient business I have ever dealt with. For a $350 fee, they were supposed to get me an OCI card. An efficient business would know exactly what documents would be needed. But they asked for these drip by drip, like in a torture chamber. I dealt first with Abhishek, who cannot communicate clearly in English. The other two were Jeet and Usha. On Aug 8, 2023, Abhishek sent me a check-list with questions to be answered. After I answered them, he sent me another checklist on Sept 13, with new requirements related to my spouse. After I answered those, on Sept 18 Usha asked more information about my parents names, and copies of all old US passports. I was then told that they could not proceed with the OCI because of a clerical error regarding my birthdate on the Indian passport, which had been corrected on all other US passports and documents, and despite the fact that I had a birth certificate to prove it. I got a call from some 'manager' saying they would not refund the $350, but could file for a 10-year visa for the additional filing fee of $222 to the consulate. Another list of documents was required, and the same drip-drip-drip ensued. After sending me a checklist, they followed up the next day asking for my spouse's US passport #. The next day, they asked for my spouse's old Indian passport #. The next day, for spouse's birthplace. Finally, they asked for 2 passport size color pics. On Sept 27, I spoke to Jeet on the phone, who said that the photos attached to the application should be EXACTLY like the one on my US passport. This is crazy because when one gets a passport photo made, they give you only 2, and one of these was already on my US passport. Jeet said to "put on the same clothes as you wore in the US passport picture and get new ones taken"!! After spending $572, and after a harrowing experience with this company, the US consulate sent me back my passport with a 5-year visa, which costs $80 to file. Run from these people. Take your chances directly with the consulate. read more

Similar to a review below, I needed my I-9 verified for a new remote job based out of another state, and it required a notary bonded as an immigration consultant. I called so many notaries near me, but none could help me out. Thankfully I found BAIS on Yelp and made the drive down to Fremont earlier this week. It was a quick, easy process, and I was in and out within 15-20 minutes. Glad to have them around because I don't know what I would have done otherwise! read more

I searched high and low and couldn't find anyone to verify an I-9 near me. Getting hired remotely and it blew my mind how hard it is to find I-9 verification in CA because of the strict notary laws around it. I found this office an hour from me and thankfully they provide the service. Although it was a drive, Prachi made sure everything was thoroughly checked so I wouldn't have to come back again. She caught a mistake on my paperwork that my HR rep sent over. Fixed it, waited to confirm with my HR rep, all while feeding me tea and cake. Once we had the go ahead, I finally rested easy. Submitted H1 without a required document even after there was a RFE resulting in denial and then started blame game. Very incompetent and unprofessional. It is managed by a woman called Alka. They are only interested in making additional bucks than helping out. I wouldn't recommend anyone this company. Go at your own risk and I'm sure you will end in pain and agony. read more

Very Helpful. Although they are not attorney's they have a lot of knowledge and experience on Visas. They helped me get my H3 approved despite initial filing to be missing important evidence. Bay Area Immigration services filed the RFE for my wife H4 EAD and they had done marvelous job in documenting and making sure everything is in place. It got approved with in couple of weeks. They are wonderful in presenting the required documents in simple english which everyone can understand. Especially for the immigration related things this is very important. Alka and Sam both have lot of experience with extra ordinary capabilities in handling these cases and i am glad that i approached them.
