I live in Nevada, and due to jurisdiction, my visa application had to be processed through the San Francisco Consulate. Instead of traveling there and dealing with long wait times, I decided to use Free China Visa based on a recommendation from my cousin. I had also checked with a local travel agency in Las Vegas, and they quoted me $390, while Free China Visa charged $300, which was a much better deal. Just a heads up: you still need to complete the China Online Visa Application (COVA) yourself and mail in your passport. Once your application is approved by the consulate, you notify Free China Visa, and they handle the in person drop off and pickup for you. I submitted my order on 2/24/26 and received my passport back by 3/13/26. The process took a little over two weeks, mainly because I had to make some updates to my application and provide additional documents. Overall, the steps were straightforward and easy to follow. If I ever need to renew my China visa again, I would absolutely use their service.

Took about 2 weeks from me mailing my passport and application info, to getting my passport back with the visa. Pretty easy to follow their instructions and check progress, and everything went smoothly.

Then a few days later right before I was going to pay, I called her up at 9pm on a Sunday (please don't be rude to her like me!) worried that the hotel wasn't quite right for us - we were going to Mexico and it felt a little too 'professional' for us, plus I was wondering if there was a way I could just walk right out and snorkel each day. Denise spent hours more with me that night helping me find the perfect spot and plans all over again, with no complaint whatsoever - she actually seemed excited!
