Warning- This is deeply personal and could be upsetting/triggering to some…read more It is difficult to find the words to describe the life-saving, compassionate, expert doctors, nurses, and staff who literally saved my life. After a personal trauma and then the traumatic deaths to not one but two fiancés, I had battled treatment resistant depression for decades, and itstole so much of my life. I hid it for so long because I had to work to support myself, but it was taking everything out of. When my fiancé in college committed suicide after I said things I didn't mean out of insecurity, his friends took him to a pub crawl to cheer him up. He called me later than he was supposed to, and I was madly in love so had been waiting by the phone which made me upset, and even though he sweetly asked me THREE TIMES to please pick him up, I said no. I had no idea what had happened before that call to me. Only after coming home and finding his body on the blood soaked couch would I learn that he had discovered something heartbreaking just before he called me. If trying to live with that for years wasn't hard enough, my best friend, who kept me from killing myself, and I became engaged, but on his 30th birthday, we learned he had stage four pancreatic cancer, and the doctor literally gave him 6months to live. In spite of the cruel 4 years of pain and suffering he endured and fighting it by trying experimental drugs and everything under the sun, he lost the battle, and my precious love passed away. Once again, I was truly devastated and alone. I knew what suicide would do to my mother, and even though we had never been close, I never wanted to put anyone through the hell that I was trying to live with, so I was pretending to be ok but was consumed with PTSD, grief, and depression. . My life was a struggle to keep my chin above water because I was drowning, and nothing I had tried was helping. I met the man who I married and then began living a double life where I had an amazing man and life, but I was still pretending to be alright hiding the depression that I lived with. The years of anti depressants and counseling never amounted to anything, and after having my first child who brought me so much joy to have, I developed severe postpartum depression too. This is where I still shudder thinking about it because I began to thinking that I had to die. I couldn't let my child and husband be around me because I would only bring them down, make problems and ruin their lives. I believed it, and made plans to make it look like an accident. Imagine having an amazing life with the most incredible gift of a tiny human who had a loving, doting father and having a wonderful husband...but I could not feel it. I BELIEVED I had to save them from me. I researched ketamine and found an angel who answered my phone call named Linda. She told me it didn't have to be this way and to meet with Dr. Ghorieshi. It was my last attempt of finding help, and I can tell you that I am writing here and now because Dr. Ghorieshi, Linda, the world class PAs, nurses and MAs, and the kind staff. Saved my life. Let me be clear that I would not be alive, not live to see my beautiful son turn another year older, not experience the joy that life offers if it wasn't for the ketamine and then Spravato treatments that I truly know cured my incurable depression! My life now is joyous, I am the strong, intelligent, funny, and capable mother and professional that I knew I could be once the TRD was gone. No matter the trauma, suffering, and hell you're going through, there IS treatment, and you can honestly trust the professionals like Dr. Ghorieshi, Dr. Yaghoobi, and Nazanin to name a few to succeed where all else failed. This has been my personal story of triumph over trauma, life after loss, and the hard working dedicated people who chose to help even the toughest cases like mine. Warning - Dimitriu Will Call the Cops on You!…read more I was sitting in my house not bothering anyone or making any threats. I was not committing any crimes. I was not in danger. I was not bothering anyone else. This "doctor," Alex Dimitriu, called me at home and told me he was incarcerating me in a locked facility. I tried to talk to him to see what the problem was and address any concerns he might have. He arrogantly just told me "I'm not going to argue with you." The law was on my side and civil rights exist. I politely told this person that he technically could not legally do this to me. His response was to threaten to call the cops on me, weaponizing his medical license and the racial dynamics of the situation. Interacting with Alex Dimitriu left me feeling like the most helpless victim. He forced himself on me through "medical treatment" - involuntary incarceration. He spit on my right to due process - the one guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. Alex Dimitriu treated me like three-fifths of a person. I have been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of Dimitriu's aggression. I have not felt safe since he ignored the law, stripped me of my rights, and traumatized me. The professional psychotherapist I consulted (who is licensed by the state of California) called Dimitriu's actions "a disgusting abuse of power." I suspect but can not prove that he tried to hide his actions and this review from you, the reader. I've had to rewrite it once. Stay safe - stay away from Dimitriu! - Former patient

Not only did their methods help cure me of the obsession, but they gave me insight into my life and tools to use that has allowed me to thrive without the need of Alcohol. My wife and kids are also very grateful to everyone at WRRC who started me on this new journey. For anyone struggling with addiction, I'd highly recommend checking in. I loved that their methods are holistic, and not necessarily pushing any one solution to recovery, but teaching numerous principles. I believe most, if not all the counselors and people in the house have been down the road, so have real life experiences of recovery and really seem to want to share the gift. If you are truly ready to stop the madness caused by addiction and willing to listen, learn and be open for change in your life, this place is waiting to help get you on the path to recovery. The house is situated in a beautiful area with wonderful views and wildlife. The pool, gym, game room, food options, weekly excursions and phone options, which help with family involvement are certainly a nice bonus as well. I'm currently over 15 months sober and continue to use the skills I learned in "The House". I'll be forever grateful for the caring people of this facility, and look forward to the weekly alumni meetings and occasional BBQ's back at the house. They saved my life. Enjoy every moment....

You (they) are talented, kind, smart, respected, and capable, but you (they) can't make it without help. There is no shame, no stigma, and no better place to reclaim your (their) life than WRRC. The location is convenient (close enough but worlds away), the accommodations and offerings exceptional, surrounded by beautiful trees, in the nearby mountains with a pool and hot tub. Exercise, yoga, optional massages and trips off site made this an incredible experience, but the people of WRRC make your freedom possible. I made plans months out (though their turnaround based on need is remarkable), and the staff were exceptionally accommodating, fielding questions via phone, text and email. I wanted to visit, and had a great time meeting both the staff, as well as clients. I had a chance to chat with a client with no supervision - they let me know that they had extended their stay by 2 months! I thought this amazing, but having spent a month, I truly understand. Lindsay was the first person I spoke with. She has many hats, all worn well, with expertise running impactful groups (super supportive) and WRRC. I never felt pressured before I decided on WRRC, and she was always available for questions. A caring, sincere, resourceful and super cool human (I will repeat this and give an overall appraisal at the end of the review)! Nikki was my case manager, and was great - vibrant, kind and informative. She juggled needs effectively, making appointments and taking care of my support network. A super cool, effervescent human! Jay facilitated groups in a refreshingly direct and calm way, holding us accountable while delivering the tailored curriculum. Exceptionally caring, a paladin of recovery, a super cool human! Nothing can convey the profound capacity of Dave, the Lao Tzu of WRRC, whose wisdom, caring and experience manifests in surprising, joyful and hysterical ways. A super cool, super real human! Suzie is an exceptionally kind, resourceful and generous member of the WRRC, sharing insights, laughs and wisdom throughout the month. Her experiences offered unique perspectives on the transformation of recovery, her suggestions golden, a super cool human! Gerry was fantastically up on everything, caring, efficient and cheerfully supporting us in our recovery. Generous, dedicated, warm and kind, a super cool human being! Robin was a great asset to recovery, with excellent fitness routines, deep knowledge regarding the overlap between kinesiology and recovery. Wise, talented and a great guide to the nearby parks, she brings another critical facet to the recovery. A super cool human! Lisa conducted our yoga sessions, this is an area where I lack expertise, but she provided her own unique, touching and deeply kind insights, a super cool human! Jessica facilitated our art therapy sessions, and they were creative and offered lasting insights to address continued sobriety. Caring, tuned in and creative, a super cool human! Chris is my definition of a therapist, someone qualified by training, but naturally talented through experience and being a whole human being. We worked in several different modes, solo (insightful and impactful), with my kids (healing and owning) and my girlfriend (transformational and future focused), as well as in the family groups, all the while using honesty, care, humor and deep compassion to bring out the best of a wide range of clients, family and ages. Understanding the needs of such a wide range of folks requires wisdom to meet suffering where it is, and Chris applied just that, being a great guide toward a life of recovery and super cool human! The month passed quickly, and I could go on paragraph after paragraph regarding the deep conversations, laughs in comradery, recognition of past suffering, and the blue horizon of a sober future with each of the aforementioned WRRC guides. But in that is the point - they are committed to your recovery, trained in effective tools, human in their recognition, honest in their embrace of the complexities of it all, and compassionately fully engaged in your better future. I know it might be hard to acknowledge, but you or your loved ones deserve this level of care. There is no shame, no stigma, you (or your loved ones) are human. The serene setting and location gave me a chance to leave the stress of life behind for a few days and was able to get some peace and finally quit for good. The staff is amazing and make you feel at home. It's like a luxury vacation. If you are deciding where to go to quit any substance I highly recommend this place. This doesn't feel like you're in rehab or a hospital like detox. Excellent food prepared by a gourmet chef, unbelievable views of Silicon Valley and beautiful pool..... 5 stars!!!
