This place was a little out of the way (I'm in San Jose) but I needed to get a live scan done and I'm glad I went. The area is mostly industrial and the parking lot is narrow with several businesses next to each other. If you're looking for this place, keep driving to the very end of the parking lot. That's where it is. Once you walk in the process is nice and smooth. I already had my forms with me and they had hand sanitizer + this special lotion so that they could get your fingerprints done. The lotion had a bit of a tacky feel to it so I couldn't wait to get it off after-- I ended up going to Starbucks just to wash off when I was done. The actual finger printing process was fast and the gal took each of my fingers and pressed them onto the machine so they could get accurate pictures. I got my results back by the end of the next day. So fast! Like someone else said, this place is a little pricier at $40 but if you need to get these done, you shouldn't have to wait more than a day. read more

Needed to do a last minute Livescan, and this was the only place that had appointments within the week. Appointments can be made online, and they send you email confirmations and a calendar event afterwards. The location is pretty hidden in the back of a parking lot, but there's a big sign pointing you in the direction of the storefront. The process is super quick and easy! All I did was hand over the forms and wait for the info to be put in the system. They provide hand sanitizer and wipe down the fingerprinting machines with antibacterial solution before you start. The whole thing was over in about 5-10 minutes. The price is on the higher end ($40 here as compared to $25-30 at the Sheriff's dept or a UPS store), but it's really quick, and worth it if you're in a rush to get your fingerprinting done. read more

Went to get my fingerprints because of a new job. I was easily able to make an appointment and was assisted as soon as I got to the facility. Carlos helped me and he was extremely welcoming and helpful. He walked me through the entire process which took about 10 min. I was in and out of there in a flash! Great service! Quick and easy. Went over today for fingerprinting to help out at chapel with children during VBS in July. I was in and out in about 12 minutes with Monica's assistance after I teased,flirted and joked with her. I needed a Livescan ( fingerprints ) and was very confused about the entire process, where I could go to get them done and the subsequent license I was required to obtain. I made an appointment with Monica at Bay Area Solutions. First off, both the entrance and office of BAS smell wonderful, Monica greeted me with warmth and a huge smile. Turns out I need to submit my application before getting the Livescan. I tried calling many different departments within the CDSS. To no avail I was either placed on a long hold or got a voice mail. Monica went above and beyond to try and find out where I could get a required code that I was missing! I know exactly where I'm going when it's time to get my Livescan! They moved to San Jose and you might miss their signage like I did despite it being in a conspicuous place hehe. But it's literally the first door upon entering the building. I wish I could give negative stars to this place. First of all, when I went have my fingerprints printed, the tech took a really long time to get my prints to show up on the screen. I've had this process done prior and it took about twenty minutes at most. This time, it took almost an hour to complete! Their excuse was that my hands were too dry (they applied lotion) and too warm (applied an ice pack to my hands!!). By the end of this process, I was really afraid that they were planning on taking all of my information (including my social number) and stealing my identity). A couple of weeks later, I called because I lost the copy of the paperwork and wanted to see if it was possible to obtain a copy of the paperwork. For a week, I felt like I was playing phone tag with them. I would call during their business hours and no one would respond. After leaving multiple messages, I finally got a call back and they sent me the WRONG paperwork. I called them back a couple of times to tell them this, but they never returned my calls. I ended up going to UPS to get the paperwork completed, ending spending another $70, and putting alerts for Identity theft out in case. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!!!!!! read more

I would like to compliment Bay Area Solutions (particularly the owner Monica) for her extra help with my fingerprinting process. (I have a problem with fingerprint matching due to poor quality fingerprints and my prints were rejected twice.) I went here after I had went to a postal annex in San Jose, which went a little sideways. I walked in on a late Thursday morning and there was no one waiting. The lady (she said she was the owner) was really nice and took her time with my fingerprints. I explained to her that the other place I went never turned them in (dept of justice didn't have my file). I would go here again if I needed them done again. read more

Wow, this team is excellent. I showed up with a very urgent need to get a criminal background check due to a mistake another background check company had made that was going to cost me my apartment. My moving truck was already in route from Philadelphia, so there was no turning back. I needed a fix right now, and they delievered. When our first attempt didnt get the job done fast enough, they found another solution for me. Before I left I had a background check clearing me. Their customer service was excellent, they clearly cared about helping me. I even felt like I left with friends. Also when I was there someone else stopped in for a routine livescan and was in and out in 10 minutes, and that included them finidng and printing the paperwork for him that he did not bring. The company I had been doing business with for years had unexpectedly closed, and I couldn't find any other place close to me until I came across Bay Area Solutions. The lady I talked to on the phone, Monica, was very nice and understanding. She helped me start a plan with them for monthly live scan services, in which they will come to my company!
