A calm and structured environment should also include clear communication, basic courtesy, and helping patients troubleshoot office systems instead of leaving them alone to figure it out themselves. Unfortunately, the response reinforced the same dismissive tone I experienced in person, which further confirmed that walking out was the right decision for me.
