Before the treatment even started, I clearly explained that I have very sensitive skin. I specifically asked Faith to apply extra numbing cream and to make sure my entire face and neck--especially the areas I knew from previous microneedling treatments were most sensitive--were thoroughly covered. I even pointed out the spots that typically require more numbing. She insisted that the amount of numbing cream she applied was enough. After waiting about 40 minutes, I came out of the room and told her that parts of my face still were not numb and that I could clearly feel those areas. Instead of addressing my concern by applying more numbing cream, she told me that different parts of the face feel different and asked if I wanted to begin. The treatment was excruciating. The areas that were not adequately numbed were so painful that I was literally crying during the procedure. What disturbed me the most was not just the pain, but Faith's comments throughout the treatment. While I was visibly in distress, she repeatedly said things like, "I'm sorry I'm torturing you," "You asked for it," and "You can hate me." She also laughed while making some of these comments. I asked multiple times to stop the procedure, apply more numbing cream, wait for it to take effect, and then continue. My requests were repeatedly declined, and the procedure continued despite my obvious pain. Afterward, I called the office because I wanted to discuss my experience directly with Dr. Eric. I asked the front desk what the best way was to speak with him regarding a concern. Instead of helping me, the receptionist laughed and said they would not give me his personal phone number. I explained that I was obviously not asking for his personal cell phone--I simply wanted to know the appropriate way to communicate with the doctor about my experience. I was told I could tell the receptionist instead and that she would pass along the message. I explained that I was not comfortable discussing my concerns with someone else and wanted to speak with Dr. Eric directly or leave a message for him. I was told that I could not. It was disappointing that, after such a distressing experience, there did not appear to be a way for me to communicate my concerns directly to the physician overseeing the practice. No patient undergoing an elective aesthetic procedure should have to endure this experience. When a patient repeatedly reports that they are not adequately numb and asks to pause so additional numbing can be applied, those concerns should be taken seriously. I hope Bodzibe Plastic Surgery reviews both its patient care during procedures and its process for handling patient concerns afterward. My experience left me feeling unheard, and I believe patients deserve compassion, professionalism, and a meaningful opportunity to have serious concerns addressed.

The Esthetician did not explain the steps of the back facial treatment, however she did continually upsell me on their "Image" skin care line stating it's "medical" and very good for me. I came to the spa to relax, I did not appreciate an Esthetician turned sales person continually trying to sell me their skincare products. The music that was playing was like a hip hop dance music, I would have preferred calming, soothing spa music again for that "spa experience."
