Everything was amazing but we could not get over how delicious the lamb ribs were! It's like umami perfection. The ribs were cooked perfectly and whatever sauce or seasoning they used was just fantastic. The staff were definitely busy running around but they didn't make us wait too long to order. That gives the infamous Pho An in Bankstown a run for their money in terms of cost but sadly Me Oi comes out second best when it comes to the flavour of the Pho. I would say that it's a good alternative to the other Pho joints in the city - namely Pasteur or even Viet Town. This location should do pretty well - being just across the road from World Square for those not wanting to trek further into Haymarket. It also gives the World Square precinct a solid Vietnamese choice now. The bowls though expensive, do provide quite a substantial amount of meats and noodles but the broth isn't as memorable. All in all, a solid performer and a decent Pho alternative in the CBD.

We made a booking , thankfully, and in an area that has many asian restaurants we could see which restaurants were very popular. The order was placed and within no time our hot steamy dishes arrived.My favourite was "Morning Glory" green beans cooked in garlic and spinach. But my wife tried the Pho one of her excellent dishes and whilst it is not as good as hers, the food is good and prices okay. The service here is pretty bad, but maybe that can be chalked up to opening jitters...though after we were seated we waited about 5 minutes before having to ask someone for a menu. Then we were served two glasses of water and no carafe while other tables got them. Ordered rice paper rolls, one regular beef pho and one large beef pho, and they got the order wrong as two regular pho's came out but that was fixed quickly. Pho's on the pricey side at $14 for regular, $16 for large and $1 more if you want tendons/tripe/meat balls. Rice paper rolls came out first and they're probably some of the worst rice paper rolls I've had as they're not made fresh and the paper was tough and rubbery. When the pho comes out they add the basil and bean sprouts for you so you don't get to do it yourself. There's also a trolley for hoisin and Sriracha but our trolley was missing Sriracha and when we asked for some the waitress gave us chili paste (!?!?!) and I had to point out the Sriracha on other tables to get a bottle. Thankfully the pho is pretty legit even if the large isn't really large. The eight hour broth packs good flavour, is balanced and doesn't overwhelm, but would I come back to pay $2-3 more than other places that give you more and are comparable?
