I Used j and his catering company for my outdoor rustic wedding last August and it was a hit. Everyone loved the food and was so excited for tacos. We got so many compliments saying we're so over the same chicken, bland rice and soggy salad that gets served at every wedding. To hear we were having tacos was amazing. I'm certain they have amazing food and provide a great catering experience (their wedding photos are gorgeous). That said, we weren't able to book Jason and his team. After an initial inquiry, every response to email was incredibly slow, if at all--and most responses only came after I followed up again and again (via email, text, and calls). Ultimately, 3 weeks and multiple communications later, Jason finally revealed he couldn't do our date. More specifically, he said he would send a quote on Monday (which he didn't, or Tuesday either)...so I followed up on Wednesday, to which he finally replied on Thursday that surprise--his family would actually be out of town on our date. Literally 3 weeks and a lot of effort wasted. I get that Jason gets a ton of inquiries and he's just one guy. That said, when someone is practically begging you to put down a deposit, it was shocking to get minimal communication in return--especially when we could have been pursuing other available caterers during this time. Three stars because I'm sure they offer a great food experience...but a catering relationship starts way before the actual event, and this is where they were severely lacking. Jason and his team provided catering and bar tending for our wedding this past weekend and they totally nailed it. He worked with us to not only customize the dinner menu, bar menu and and catering decor, but also helped to serve our dessert (Mitchell's ice cream). He is super positive and kind - seems eager to make your event great and was very willing to work with us to make our wedding everything we wanted (and within our budget!). My wife and I were searching for a taco stand for our cocktail hour and it was about a month before our wedding, so we were scrambling through reviews on Yelp.com that would cater to our needs of feeding our guest before our reception. We found Jason's company and he was available for our Sunday wedding. We talked on the phone about what type of food we want to serve our guest and Jason suggested plenty of options and we came to a decision to have just tacos with 3 different types of meat which were carne asada, chicken, and tofu for the vegetarians. The day of our wedding, Jason came in an hour to prep his grill station with another table for the salsa bar to add-in with your taco. Our guests were really happy and satisfied with the service Jason Provided. Our guest count was around 114 people. The food was so good that our guest went back in line to get more of the tacos. My law firm used Bay Area Taco Catering for a marketing event. It was outstanding!!!! I am so glad we found them. Not only will I use them again, a number of guests asked for their services. They showed up early - they were completely ready to go. The display setup was better than I hoped - multiple food & drink tables which they cleverly arranged. Not only did they provide everything, they went out of their way to make it look nice with decorations and a nice serving presentation. We offered 3 kinds of tacos, (chicken, carne asada, and grilled vegetables - these were yummy!), a full salsa bar (also very good!), grilled Mexican street corn, and a very refreshing agua fresca. We purchased our own beer and wine and Bay Area Taco Catering provided a table with multiple nice ice buckets, and they brought all the ice, and even unloaded the drinks from my car.
