As she improved I was allowed to help mom with toileting. The rehab team did a good job. She progressed and worked hard to get out of there. They were under staffed and had very young training staff. Mom's room never looked as nice as those pictures barely had a chair for me to sit in. And had to hunt for a second metal folding chair for a second guest. It was summer so it was warm enough and sometimes too cold for mom. AC running. Due to Covid we were all wearing masks. They did have a good security system for visitors.

I was in this facility after knee revision surgery. I was transferred here from the hospital…read morebecause I was having difficulties with pain control. I was placed in a single room with a shared toilet. The room was freezing cold there were no blinds or curtains for the windows. It was the first of November 2023. There was a constant beeping of what sounded like a pager. I only had a call button and a controller for the TV which I lost in the dark because I couldn't control the lights. First, full day. Lots of surveys as though I was going to be there for 4 weeks -- I think not!! Very little true PT like I had received in the hospital. So I began doing all the exercises that I knew how to do. Food was worse than a bad cafeteria and cold. Everywhere it was cold. I could go on and on but I think you have the idea. After two more days, my wife and I finally convinced them to agree to release me. What an ordeal and one I hope never to repeat. Advice: check out facilities before you think you may need them.

Wish I could give zero stars. Spring Valley Assisted Living looks okay on tours, but the actual…read morecare is shockingly negligent. Do not trust this place with your loved ones! Spring Valley Assisted Living suffers from multiple issues: 1) Slow Response Times - Call buttons left ringing for over 30 minutes (mother had to sleep on the couch one night in her own feces), 2) Unsanitary Conditions - Strong urine odors in hallways or unemptied trash, 3) High Staff Turnover - Constantly seeing different workers, 4) Poor Nutrition and Food Handling - takes up to an hour to receive your food in the dinning room, meals are cold, and dining room fails to accommodate specialized dietary needs (e.g., diabetic diets, spicy, etc...), and 5) Main hallway Smells Like Smoke - employees crowd the exiting smoking. Family members have approached Management on several occasions, unfortunately Management is totally unresponsive. Continued response in all areas is, "We are working on it." This brings me to my # 1 complaint - Service Levels. There are none. Contracts, policy and guidance, and brochures outline care, they do not document acceptable/unacceptable levels of service. Absolutely no metrics!! Patients and their loved ones do not know if they are receiving the care they are paying for because they have no idea what level it is. I would like to see an audit from an independent agency! Anyway Spring Valley Assisted Living is a Very, Very, and Very expensive Shit hole!

Worst possible place ever steer clear of this business if your looking for a caregiver service or…read morelooking for work They hire caregivers with no experience, and lie to their clients telling them all their caregivers are experienced & trained. There is no training you get a 4 hour PowerPoint of information crammed into one day that they won't go over with you again. They are constantly hiring every Thursday because they can't keep employees, be it problems with hours and them not giving their employees adequate hours or scheduling problems. Ive spoken with clients who stated how they'll send over replacements/ "fill ins" and never even bother to call them to let them know a new person is showing up. There is no care for caregivers or clients just a false sense of tutelage, trust, and benevolence. Their silver lining is that they try to shove faith, worship, god down your throat to cover up all their misdeeds thinking that a simple "we'll pray for you" is gonna fix anything. If you care about yourself or your loved ones you won't spend a second of your time or a cent here, there plenty of different companies and or routes to go but without a doubt on earth this place is overwhelmingly the most atrocious deplorable opti

The memory care director is easily accessible and often found on the floor helping. The memory care has a full time RN with his office located in memory care, the meals are prepared on site and served warm and fresh. Everyone from the director, aides, chefs, entertainment director and housekeeper were involved in my dad's care. Moving a loved one into memory care was not easy, but during my father's year at the Springs, he was well cared for and was able to stay at the Springs and pass peacefully on hospice care. My father had been in multiple facilities in the Eugene area and it was not until we moved into the Spring's Memory Care that we felt he was safe, well cared for and stimulated with activities.
