It was shortly after 8pm on a Wednesday and I had been at the mall since about 6. I live and work in Worcester and drove straight to the mall after work. I had been to countless stores trying to find a cute white dress, but no luck. On my walk out, I passed by this Windsor store and it caught my eye - there were tons of cute clothes. I had never heard of the brand before, but decided to go in. I had been in the store for only two minutes and already had 3 different items in my hands to try on. At this point, an employee approached me, looked at the items in my hands, and said "just so you know, our fitting rooms close in 5 minutes." Mind you it was like 8:10/8:15pm at this point and the store itself doesn't close until 9. I looked back at the employee confused and said "what...? I wanted to try these on and I'm not done looking...Nevermind I guess?" The girl just shrugged me off and said "yeah, sorry." On top of "closing the fitting rooms" almost a whole hour before your store closes just being a flat out ridiculous policy and practice, there was just no attempt on the employees end to help me out. It really stinks because I was intrigued by the clothes. I didn't even get a third of the way through your store and already had 3 things ready to try on! Won't be shopping there again. I'll shop somewhere where they let me try on clothes when the store is open.

Madewell stores are few and far-between, so seizing the opportunity to actually see, feel and try things on before purchasing rather than wait for UPS to deliver them is ideal. They also make great shoes, belts and accessories, not to mention tops and dresses. I walked in with my husband to be completely impressed by the high quality pants, skirts, shirts, and little black dresses. The dresses were absolutely adorable! The pants and blazers were tailored so impeccably...I immediately compared it to the quality of Theory and Tahari. I'm all about supporting local designers, and Anne Reagan was super friendly. A few months later, she closed down, and relocated to a more visible location also within Natick Center. Parking is a little difficult because it is right on Rt.27. Yesterday was her first day open in her new location, and to my delight, I not only saw her original designs, but American Apparel, Kinross (cashmere sweaters), and Float, which Anne said was a new brand of beachwear. Her boutique is the only place in Massachusetts that currently carries the Float line. She had a printed Float beachbag which was adorable as well as a terry cloth hoodie-tunic with printed lining. I can't wait to see what other designers she will carry, as well as what she will design for her own line. A boutique like this is long overdue in this area. Well done!
