We loved our stay at Hayley's! The site we booked was massive--we had no idea just how big it would be, but it gave off such a cozy, woodsy feel. Our family stayed at Bayley's July 18th through the 25th and was disappointed in this year's stay. The "new" speed bumps were awful and did damage to our fifth wheel camper. The risers on the speed bumps were way too high. It cause our burners to come loose, a shade fell from the window, and one of the slides skipped a tooth causing it to not open properly. Also, the WIFI was terrible. We live out of our camper and rely on a decent WIFI to pay bills and communicate outside. When we returned to our hometown I had to drop my camper off to a RV repair center and spent several hundred dollars to repair it. Needless to say our stay was a two out of five star review. The camper we rented was genuinely fantastic -- spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. Major kudos to whoever handles the rentals. I get that maintenance has to happen, but scheduling heavy road work during guest stays, even in the shoulder season, is really disappointing. We came for quiet and didn't get it. Mud and more mud... Huge campground/RV resort! We chose a site in the "Big Rig" section because we travel with a 41' 5th Wheel. Our site was wide but we barely fit for length and the roads were tight with lots of trees. No gravel for parking and very little grass. Great location, lots of amenities, but mainly seasonal stays. Appears the better sites are used for them. At the price point we paid we expected more...we'd love a better site with less "frills." read more

We stayed here in an RV for one week during 4th of July weekend. This is the kind of place that will nickel and dime you to death. The place was so enormous that it took forever to get to the pool or the playground. You could drive but in several areas there were no parking spaces for cars but there WERE parking spaces for the golf carts that they charge $600/wk. to rent to you. You are not allowed to bring your own golf cart, you have to rent theirs. You are not allowed to bring your own fireworks, you have to buy theirs. The laundry area is $5 to wash each load, and their so-called commercial laundry machines are smaller than the one I have at home. The scenery here was beautiful, and it was nice sitting outside with a campfire, but I didn't find this place to be enjoyable enough to come back. read more

The campground wants nothing to do with admitting responsibility and has their card company "looking in to it". Not going to hold my breath, so I guess I'm out $500. I love Bayley's. We've been coming here since 2018 and we really appreciate many things. It's clean and well kept, the WI-FI is great, there are tons of planned daily activities for kids and adults, there are 3 pools, there is a restaurant with EXTREMELY REASONABLE prices on basic quick service foods, the staff is friendly and professional, and the security is excellent. Many people don't like security because they want to be able to do whatever they want, but if what you're doing could be infringing on someone else's experience, Bayley's does a nice job of stepping in. Nothing is 100% consistent, not even regular police, so if people are looking for that, it's unrealistic. I also think the WiFi complaints are unwarranted. I've not had any trouble with the WiFi in several years and I actually stream my Fire TV while I'm here. The cell signal is horrible, but that's the case everywhere in this area because the network is so bogged down. It's not a Bayley's issue. More about the restaurant- the food is all cooked to order and it's extremely tasty. I've never had anything that I wouldn't order again. Finally- Bayley's provides it's own free trolley to and from both Old Orchard and Pine point beaches, and the town trolley also stops at Bayley's, so you basically have reliable transportation for your family that shows up every 30 minutes. You never have to pay for parking or worry about having a couple of cocktails. read more

I just got home from camping at Bailey's. I waited until I got home to write this review because their is absolutely no cell service and their wifi is spotty and weak. Last Thursday morning 8/5/21, I realized that my vehicle had been damaged when the family beside me had pulled out of site M47. I went to the office to inform them that I needed to file a police report & I would like them to contact the people that had left M47. I believe they don't know that they hit me. The tail swing must have hit the side of my vehicle, these sites are very small, the road out is narrow & there is a tree that had to be swung around as well as a fire pit. I called Scarborough PD the officer came and informed me that according to Maine state law you can only file an accident report if you have an accident on a public road. Bailey's is private property so I can not file an accident report. I needed to handle this with Bailey's. I went back to the office & told them what the officer said. I again asked them to contact the family that had left and inquire about possible damage to their camper. Bailey's refused to call them. Now I am going to have to pay the deductible to have my vehicle repaired. I understand the temptation to go stay at the most expensive campground in Maine, but don't forget there is a 5 night minimum so you won't be just going for the weekend. And if anything happens to your property Bailey's will not help you. read more

We've toyed around with the idea of buying a camper but it just seems like too much work. So I looked around and found the next best option...renting a cabin at a campground. We didn't leave enough time in the day to go for the go car "lesson" which is required before you can actually race (for insurance reasons) bummer that we missed out on this. Book early (this time of the year) to get the best location and price. This place is super big and worth checking out during the off time to find the best spot for you. Bayley's campground used to be a fun campground that our family used to visit annually. Due to the never ending rising prices to simply camp we will not be returning after this year. Every year prices keep getting jacked up without any care for their returning customers. Extra charges for having our 2 kids camp with us were never a surcharge in the past but this year it's an additional $12 per night, per child. We are a large group, we are Constantly getting told to be quiet or threatened to be forced to leave with no prior warnings. This family has had enough. It really is a shame to have to leave a campground with these amenities. but enough is enough. Do yourself a favor and find a more affordable, and more lenient campground. read more

It's hard to review Bayleys for a few reasons. We have never stayed at rv parks in the northeast so have nothing local to compare to. Also depending on the style of parks you like and even when you come you may have a very different experience. For starters it was like $55 per night for a big rig site which we were told were more secluded and had more space (more on that later). This is probably the most we have ever paid to stay at an rv park. Traveling mostly in the southeast and southwest I consider a $30/night park pricey. On average we are use to paying around $20/night and have stayed at full hookup sites for $12/night. So $55 is a lot and that's in the off season, they go for over $80 during the summer which boggles my mind. We prefer secluded parks (like state parks) and don't care much for amenities like pools etc. Typical we just come to our rv at the end of the day to eat, sleep and shower and don't tend to hangout at the park. So with all that in mind we would not come back to Bayleys. We got here the Monday of Labor Day right as everyone was leaving. However when we got there it was still pretty packed, it looked like Disney world and that's probably the best comparison I can make. It's like the Disney of campgrounds. Like I said before we were put in the "big rig" area which you have to drive down a crappy bumpy dirt road that they put a bunch of speed bumps on to make it even crappier. The place is HUGE and they have RVs crammed into every square inch. The spot we were given was so cramped with other RVs and other peoples vehicles we couldn't even get into it. I was ready to leave but on the way out we saw another much bigger space and my girlfriend called and they said it was available and we could switch to that one. So that's where we spent our 3 nights. The next day a lot more people had left and while the park was a lot less crowded than on that Monday, it was still packed by our standards. Our site itself was not bad. Lot's of trees and backed by some marsh land. The park itself would be quite nice if they didn't cram sites into every possible square inch. If you come during the week it will probably be better than during the weekend when I can only imagine how bad it gets. They do have a TON of different amenities, multiple pools and hottubs, golf cart and kayak rentals, activities, restaurant etc. We didn't use any of them. However if you have kids and/or are into that then this is definitely the place for you. However if you just want a peaceful place to park your RV while you explore the area outside the park then you should probably pass on Bayley's. read more

Just returned from another stay at Bayley's! I have been going since childhood and the last two summers I have been bringing my small family. The staff are very friendly from over the phone to in person. Everyone is very helpful. The pools are clean and never seem to be super busy. We didn't attend any activities but we usually don't as we explore off of the resort. We also rented a golf cart which is a splurge for us but with a three year old it was a must. Loved the site, it was a corner site but despite being on a busy spot was always very quiet. I felt very comfortable here as there are many families enjoying the same thing. Camping store has everything you will need and more. Really had a great time and will definitely be back again! read more

The staff is rude. Very very rude. It became VERY clear early on in our five day stay that rules that went for some did not go for others. I was fortunate to not experience this directly however we were with a large group, in total five separate sites rented, and saw how some were treated. At one point a night security person sat right outside of a friends campsite just watching. It was beyond awkward and uncomfortable. Beyond that our site was so small that all that could be squeezed between one RV and the next was one picnic table and a small pop up. I did want to complain but was unfortunately told but others with experience that "they will just tell you to leave". I did follow up with my own research on other review platforms and quickly discovered all of the above is a common theme. I wish I could say we would be back but unfortunately that will not be the case here. read more

I was more than pleasantly surprised by this beautiful campground. I haven't been to a lot of camping resorts, just a few, but this was by far my favorite. The pools/ jacuzzis are open till 10pm and quiet hours start at 11pm. This is definitely a party campsite; which I wasn't expecting but didn't mind at all. The pools weren't crowded at all, probably because there's so many. I love that there is an adults only pool area with a bar. I also love that the campsites were not too close together, and the showers and bathrooms were clean. There's also a restaurant and a cafe which I did not utilize but I certainly would have if I was there longer. There's so much to do here I don't think I can list it all! I wish I could've stayed longer so I could've taken the shuttle to the beach. I hope I get to come back here one day. I had a wonderful stay. read more

I would give a 4.5 if that was an option, but they deserve the 5 since it's not. On a Friday night, someone complained about our music being loud. It was 9pm and quiet time is 11pm. Instead of reminding the people of this, they asked us to turn it down/off. We also were in the very back of the CG. A field behind us, and forest to our right. It's not like we were in the middle of the place making a ruckus for all. Either way, this CG was nice. They have lots of entertainment. Way more than any other CG we have seen. They gave us a schedule of events for each day of the week. They always had live music at the adult pool and the guys were really good! Lots of ponds, several different camping sections, great food at the adult pool, & nice crowd of people. (We were in big rig section.) We will be back! (More pet waste stations would be nice.) read more

This is our first stay with Bayley's and we'll be back next summer! The kids loved the pools & beautiful playgrounds, and especially the hot tub. That would be my only complaint - I wish there was one more kid-friendly hot tub. The next time we hope to stay in the south side. The campground is immaculate & staff is friendly & abundant. There was a mix up at check in - someone had set up on our site in error. But staff was very quick to respond to our call to the front office and resolve the situation. We set up on the site across from our original site, which was a reduced rate from what we'd paid. They had already credited us when we inquired about it the next day. YIIIIIIIIPEEEE!! Grab the marshmellows..I'm outta here..I'm going to Bayleys. This place rocks for sure! By far one of my favorite campgrounds ever and I don't even have kids. OK I SAID IT! All around fun ALL THE TIME! I own a travel trailer and I so look forward to this place every year! The minute you pull in..you know you're in for non-stop fun! The check in is completely organized! There is three lines two for check ins and one to let campers in and out. PERFECT..no traffic jams..Very well done Bayleys! Check In..Pfft.. a totally breeze, of course..Get your ticket slap on your car window and hold on the fun is about to begin! (Oh..the nice folks at Bayleys..when I first got my travel trailer..I was scared to back up...came and backed up my camper for me!! YUP! That's how cool they are! Two thumbs up for these folks for sure!) Get to your site..by the way..I love the "T" sites by the lake..my favorite! Settle on in and get to walking or biking. I definitely suggest bringing your bike. You'll be glad you did. This place is huge! OR, pfft..better yet, take the free trolley that takes you all over the campground. It takes you to the three pools!!!! It takes you everywhere! I'm telling you, this place rocks! The game room...I hate to tell you at my age I wasted about 30.00 on guitar hero...but, I did. Sad, considering I have Rock Band and Guitar Hero at home. But, I was so freaking happy at Bayleys I can't help it. Do not forget to go to the Seaside Square Cafe for breakfast/lunch/dinner! The prices are really reasonable and it saves you from doing all those dishes on vacation...pfft..that's what paper plates are for and it makes great fire starters for later.. The campstore has everything you could totally want, too. There's actually two stores! Mini-golf, bike rentals and more...I could go on all day... OK..I'm saving the best of Bayleys for last...It's totally the trolley that takes you to the beach! FOR FREE!!! It takes you to Old Orchard, Pine Point or to Splashtown, Funtown!!!! OK...it doesn't get any better than this place... You know what..that wasn't the best for last..this is the most important. Bayleys has one of the cleanest bathrooms ever in camping history! Even on weekend when there are 100's of people. You will see people constantly cleaning! They are always clean!!!!!!! Always filled with supplies and never muddy!!! I don't know how they always keep up with them. The bathrooms are located all over so they are not far from anywhere you are staying either.. AND to top it off...You've got a DRIVE-IN 10 minutes up the street!!!!!! There's so much to do here...You'll need a vacation from your vacation..GEEZ. The reviews are inconsistent with our stay the beginning of July 2013. The most crammed sites in the area. The pools are smaller and crowded. The bathrooms are fair and aren't as clean as other campgrounds. We tent camped. There are some nice, grassy sites, but most are small. We could hardly fit 2 tents, the picnic table and our car on the site. Road noise from our site. Old Orchard experience is better at nearby Powder Horn where bathrooms are religiously cleaned and pools are are cleaner, larger. We won't be returning. read more

WORST CAMPING PLACE EVER! EXPENSIVE! If your out for fun, don't come here..... your not allowed to have any! Curfews on everything!. 1 strike policy! This place is a JOKE!!!!!!! My group was here to relax and there was kids running around EVERYWHERE unattended by parents, driving golf cards and 4 wheelers like maniacs! Yet my group has music going and we get yelled at at 9pm to turn it off and no more firewood could be added! 9PM! 9PM!!!! The next day we go to the hot tub, NO ONE there, have drinks in an adult sippy cup (BUBBA) and an old guy who works there comes running over and says we are kicked out from the spa for having alcohol there. NO SIGNS SAYING NO ALCOHOL. We even had the cups away from spa and still he screamed at us! He then proceeds to yell at us for numerous reports of issues in our camping area... yeah the camp site 3 sites down which was told to disperse for being loud, not us. Yet because of them, this guy screams at us like we hit a little kid. Their breakfast buffet is an absolute joke! everything is from a can, bacon is translucent, tasteless and fake. Scrambled eggs aren't even eggs. Everything was gross in the buffet. The worst part? Ive been in the bathroom 6times today since the breakfast. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! We were declined a stay at Bayley's campground due to the fact that my boyfriend and I aren't married. We were told on the phone that the campground doesn't allow "singles". We came here for Labor Day weekend and overall it was a great experience! Our group consisted of 5 adults. We loved swimming in the adult swimming pool/ hot tubs at night. During the day we took the trolly for a short ride to Old Orchard Beach. The showers and bathroom area were kept very clean. This weekend was PACKED and the entire campground was completely booked, which is expected for Labor Day weekend. The only downside is how close the sites are to each other. Even though "quiet time" is from 11pm-8am we would often be woken up by our neighbors around 6am. But still can't complain since we were up late sitting around our fire. Activity girl was very friendly and enthusiastic and did a great job despite being on crutches! Trolley service to beach amusement parks. Cons- need bingo for families not just kids. One of 2 fishing ponds required a permit - which you must buy daily and pay for again if you catch a fish - should just have 2 catch and release ponds or have a set price for the day or for the week. Mean man kept yelling at kids in pool area- if you don't want kids jumping in the shallow pool, then put up a sign! Don't just scream at people who are trying to enjoy their vacations. read more

Baileys is where the family fun and action is! By far, Baileys offers the most for your money. With great sites, nightly shows by the pool and free shuttles to and from Old Orchard Beach. Day & seasonal camping is pricey, but the entertainment is great and the fun never stops. Only at Baileys can you spend all day at the beach, then pool playing organized games, eat & drink while listening to the band play on stage by the pool until 10 pm while the kids are having a blast in the pool and then retire to you state-of-the-art mobile command center or cozy fire. You can't beat the value. The camp store has a full breakfast buffet in the morning and snack / lunch food (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc) all day so you can embark on a local daycation in town or stay and make Baileys be your vacation and have just as much fun! They have a lobster tank stocked with freshly caught sea monsters so you don't have to go out to buy your lobsters! The park is very large with 4 or 5 pools, several hot tubs and offers an adults-only pool for those traveling without kids or those lucky parents who just need a break and want to tan by the pool alone. Baileys has everything and is a name brand in town. It's by far one of the best our family has camped at. read more

We LOVE Bayley's! The cleanest, most organized Campground we've ever been in. The first time we stayed there was a mix up in our site assignment (since I was booking for us and a rental for my sister, it could have been a mistake on my part) I called them and they upgraded our site for no additional charge (we had paid for a lower grade site). Customer service has always been great! Besides the cleanliness​, we love the adult only pool area. It consists​ of a pool, two hot tubs, snack bar, beer, wine and frozen cocktails. read more

Finished up a five day visit. This place is HUGE! Our site was located close to the front entrance so we spent most of our time at the two pools there. One pool that is great for little kids (5 ft Max) and another that had a deep end with a diving board. Almost always a line for the diving board - a big hit with the kids and adults. Lots of chairs and lounge chairs. Sometimes had to wait for someone to vacate to claim a chair but always found something. Outside food and drink not allowed in pool area, but lots of folks had insulated cups and water bottles. The resort offers a cafe with pizza, wraps, burgers, etc. Food wasn't bad. Also sells beer, wine, etc. Don't recommend the homemade sangria. One was purchased for me - wine with some kind of flavoring added to it. No fruit to be seen. Sites well maintained. Bathrooms clean and stocked. Entrance to the resort monitored. No lifeguard in the pool area, but there is a Baley's staff member monitoring the area to ensure rule enforcement like no running, no jumping off sides of pool and no cannonballs. Kids under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. We participated in Musingo one night in the covered stage area. Interesting take on bingo. Also watched the Pole Plunge and Lobster Dive. Entertaining to watch - you have to see it to appreciate it. Two shuttles that pick up at Bayley's and drop off at Pine Point Beach and Old Orchard Beach. Bayley's trolley which is private and free for Bayley's guests. The public shuttle is also free to Bayley's guests but makes more stops. A great way to get downtown and to the beach without dealing with parking. read more

Great campground if you are here with kids. It is a very family friendly campground and the staff is fantastic. There are lots of planned activities and places to hang out - for all ages. It is a very active campground. We've stayed in a number of different sites. Although there are some quieter than others, none are "quiet". There are a lot of people, most of which are families with kids, so it can be noisy. However, we love it when we are here. You just want to arrive knowing what to expect. read more
