I have never come across a more prejudice, morally wrong and bad business situation in my life than my most recent experience with this campground. I am 40, am an engineer and my mother is 70 and a retired high school teacher. I have a five year old and live with my mom. I have owned three properties over the years. I say all this background because it's necessary for this story. Oh and I am very quiet, have held a security clearance, a marathon runner blah blah blah. My mom sold her condo and we have a move out date on June 15. We decided to get an rv for the season and stay at a campground. We picked this one. They said we were all set to move our rv to the site for May 21st. Then on May 20th in the afternoon they call and basically say our family dynamic is unacceptable and we can't move in. Yes I have a girlfriend. She doesn't live with us but stays often. She has been an Americore worker plus worked with homeless for years. Apparently we would look to out of place. First - to tell us this about 16 hours before move in is unacceptable, after a couple weeks of saying you're fine. To be that judgmental and prejudiced is unacceptable. I have zero respect for this campground and wish all who read this to boycott. Mary Ellen you are not a good person. In one voicemail to my mom you state how she's anxious and also say it will be fine! Turns out she had good reason to be anxious. To treat others like you do is not ok. I found that anxious comment very off at the time and in retrospect it is telling on many levels. Be ashamed! What you have done to good people is wrong on many levels. I state all this personal stuff to highlight how ridiculous being turned away from a campground is. I have owned nice homes in very nice communities and never thought a pathetic campground would turn me away, what a joke. read more

This place was excellent. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Only booked for one night for a RV as we were just stopping to sleep for the night. The place is meticulously maintained and so much to do. Parks, pools, playground, basketball courts. Highly recommend. read more

Oh my goodness I could not recommend this place more. Me and my fiancé (26 years old) were met by the friendliest people at registration. The amenities were very clean. Hot tub and pool were great. Close knit to your neighbors so not a whole lot of privacy but all the entertainment. read more

This campground is clean and well maintained. The camping areas are well organized. Each site was neatly groomed. There are fire "bowls" instead of a pit that worked well. So many areas for kids to play! The pool is pristine and modern. Staff was friendly. Area is gated- felt secure. WiFi was phenomenal- best by far for a campground. Highly recommend. read more

This is a very nice campground, they have 3 different areas, the tall pines , the grove and the black bear. We stayed in the black bear area and couldn't have been more pleased. Absolutely loved this campground. read more

Recently went here for the second year in a row with a group of friends and we have made this place a tradition! The prices are very reasonable and the campground has security, trash pick up, trolley service to the pier and most importantly: super clean bathrooms and showers. You can tell the staff take pride in their work. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Neat and clean. We stayed in the new section is more like a open field. In 10-15 years when some of the trees mature it will be nicer. Other sections looked more developed. We were there off season, but looked very family friendly. read more

Was driving through Old Orchard with our camper van. Called last minute as we decided to stay in are area over night and needed a place to plug in and shower. They were super accommodating and got us a spot. The place was clean and has lots of activities. We had our two pups with us, who enjoyed running in the dog park and hanging out with us by the fire. Great property! Well taken care of. Loved the laundry room area and the bathrooms were clean and large. Stayed in the Bear Brook section with my 37' 5th wheel and had plenty of room. Would stay here again when visiting the area. read more

Stayed here for a few nights while camping in Maine. Staff was friendly and this is a great campground for families. However, the bathrooms were frequently closed for cleaning and there was no soap in the women's bathroom. There is a trolley that brings you to the beach, which reminded us a lot of the Jersey Shore. Would recommend for families. Not a great place for young couples due to location and lack of privacy for tent sites. Used to camping in the Adirondacks, which is more secluded. The location and cleanliness of the bathrooms are really the only thing that I liked about this campground, The tent sites are practically right on top of each other. Not even kidding. ZERO privacy. Because of this, I had a bit of an issue with the neighbors. The smoke from my campfire was literally blowing right into there faces and there was nothing i could do about it. Our tents were so close together, even whispering was too loud for them. I have to agree with the other review on here, unless you like to go to bed at 8pm on a Friday night, this place is not for young adults like myself. read more

This is by far the best campground in Old Orchard Beach. I stayed there with my family and I was very impressed. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond for me. They have something for everyone including a swimming pool, playground for the kids, wiffle ball field (totally fun) an arcade and laundry room plus the trolley service picked my family and I up and brought us to and from the beach. If you want a fun and safe place to camp you need to stay here! read more

This will be our, I think, 6th year staying here. We found it because one of the "resort" campgrounds in town double booked us and we had no where to stay. They had just started the remodel process of this campground and the lengths they have gone are amazing. It is quiet, which makes it a great family campground. If you want to party... go to a "resort". The bathrooms are immaculate, thus the constant cleaning.... wouldn't want it any other way. The staff is very friendly and they don't bother you.... they check on things, but they are not constantly monitoring. We come back year after year because of these things..... its our go-to place for camping!! read more
