An MRI was performed, and the radiologist's report clearly noted a congenital birth defect called lipomyelomeningocele. Despite this being documented in the report, Fishman and Fanella disregarded that finding and told me I was "fine," that I've had this issue since birth, and attributed my pain solely to disc bulging and herniation. I followed their recommendations, including physical therapy. Over the years, my pain persisted and physical therapy failed to provide AND relief. I tried to manage my pain the best I could with intermittent steroids and naproxen to no avail. The whole process was physically and emotionally debilitating. Finally, In 2025, I returned to their care due to excruciating pain and underwent another MRI. The findings related to tethered cord syndrome (lipomyelomeningocele) remained unchanged. Yet again, instead of further evaluating this congenital condition or referring me to a neurosurgeon, Mr. Fanella continued to recommend more physical therapy and said the defect that the defect that the radiologist noted for a SECOND time had nothing to do with the excruciating pain I was experiencing. He referred me back to PT despite me telling him that it was making my condition worse. After multiple failed attempts at physical therapy, I sought care from another back specialist, Dr. Vecchione. Upon reviewing my MRI, that doctor immediately referred me to a neurosurgeon. In 2026, nearly 5 years after my initial visit with Dr. Fishman, I was formally diagnosed with tethered cord syndrome/spina bifida by a neurosurgeon which is the cause of my extreme , chronic lower back pain that I have endured for over 10 years. Because this office failed to take the time to fully evaluate my MRI findings or investigate the tethered cord noted as far back as 2021, I endured years of misdiagnosis, unmanaged pain, and significant mental health distress. I am now facing the possibility of surgery to untether my spinal cord; something I was explicitly told years ago was "nothing to worry about." If this was not caught when it was, I could have had life changing consequences for something as routine as receiving an epidural during childbirth. My condition has worsened, and I have lost valuable years during which earlier intervention and monitoring could have made a meaningful difference. I strongly encourage patients to stay away from this practice. You will not receive individualized, intentional treatment. Your pain and MRI results will not be taken seriously, and you will likely end up in a PT mill

My experience with the Non-Surgical Center for Physical and Sports Medicine Center has been wonderful. The waiting room never has more than one or two patients because the staff understand the value of patients time. It's a wonderful thing to be treated courteously by office staff. Dr Chad Frank has been able to relieve my back pain which allows me greater range of motion. I know that when my back "goes out" I can trust that Dr Frank will be there to help. I have practically crawled into the center at times because when my back acts up the pain is intense. After just one visit I realize significant relief from my agony. They smile at you and lean into their conversations with you. I go to a couple of doctors' offices and this office is the unicorn. They run smooth and there are no hiccups, even when my surgery date had to be changed. I'm getting ongoing treatment from Dr. Baylis and I'm feeling better. This office is a joke!!!!…read more After seeing this doctor and several sessions of physical therapy (16 were prescribed!) I wanted to see another specialist. I returned to this office to get my x-rays and the manager told me that the only way to get them is on a CD and I was charged $10.00 for it. I told her that I have 3 computers at home and none of them have a CD player. No one uses CD's anymore. I brought a USB key but she did not want to use it. Guess why? She answered that "It is the way that it is here and all our computers, laptop and desktop, have a CD player" (maybe also a floppy disk reader). You can imagine how old their computers are and how dated this office is!!! All my other physicians have a patient portal and x-rays can be immediately viewed and downloaded. I had to go back because the CD was blank!!!! The second CD did not work either because they forgot to include the software that they use to burn the CD and be able to read it. The third one also cannot be opened on a Mac or PC. I had to do the X-rays again. Not only did this other physician give me a totally different diagnosis, but on the spot did a physical therapy session with me that included different exercises and I immediately felt much better..

(what a BS) Apparently thysical therapy in total 6 visits was performed on his premises and he cared only about being paid . Needless to say my severe pain has been exacerbated by therapy. My appointment with him was 2 weeks ahead and his staff refused to to make sooner appointment and denid to call me in case of cancelation : in the interim time I was suffering but nobody cared I myself is Florida liesenced physician and realised that it is a very shady office and have to see onother thysician I was seen by PMR doctor who immidietlly ordered MRI because I am a cancer patient and he wants to make sure that is not related and also he was not sure if I need any Physical therapy because it also can be a nerve damage which requres another treatment. I filled out a clipboard full of paperwork and was then taken for an x-ray. Withing a few minutes, Dr. Vora entered the exam room. He is young and very professional as well as being so laid back and nice. He assured me that I was on the road to recovery and it may just take a little extra time for the fractured bone to heal. The office was bright and clean and the x-ray maching only took a few minutes and I was happy that I was able to get that done in office. This happened on a Thursday, I sent an email as the office was closed and the manager out until Monday, received a call from the assistant that was the only person that knew my bag was in the room stating the manager informed her that I didn't go to the office with any cash and still has not called me to get any information to date.
