Extremely disappointed with the service here. I scheduled a 1:00 PM appointment for a dog bite, but after waiting an hour, I was told they only had one doctor on staff and couldn't even give me a firm estimate. The intake lady eventually told me I wouldn't be seen until at least 3:00 PM--two full hours past my appointment time. I had a college commitment at ACC at 3:00 PM that I almost missed because of this. Don't bother making an appointment; they don't seem to honor I pushed for a timeline, the front desk lady admitted they couldn't see me until 3:00 PM. An 'appointment' shouldn't mean a two-hour wait. I ended up having to scramble to make my 3:00 PM online college appointment. Very poor management of patient flow and expectations. read more

If I could give these clowns zero stars I would. I took my severely ill father in and asked for them to admit him. Dr. Betanski said they wouldn't admit him because his vials were normal. His labs came in the following day and another Dr made notes for him to go the ER. My father ended up passing away 2 week later. It's clear these Dr's don't actually care for their patients. They are clearly just numbers to them. They need to revisit they choose to become Dr's because they are clearly not following the Oath they took. read more

Have gone to the Williams Dr BSW Clinic mostly. This location is easy to get into and park. Only had 1 person staffed for check in at 1pm. After I checked in and waited a few minutes to check in there were 6 people behind me who waited awhile and no other check in clerks arrived. Facility has a large single waiting area with adequate seating. Looks and smells clean. Exam rooms also look and smell clean. read more

First time new patient, I scheduled an appointment, waited a few weeks for it. Go there and the doctor wasn't there. They claimed to have called and left a voicemail a few days prior but have no proof nor do I have any record. Very frustrating to arrive after waiting for weeks then the soonest they can reschedule me is a few weeks out, after already waiting weeks. Very discouraging, untrustworthy and waste of time. More bull shit from the call center today about getting into to my primary care doctor. I'm sick and the earliest to get in according to this dumb cow is three weeks. I've been told to my face that they always have open slots during the day for sick people "but she doesn't see those ". It is a total run around circus with these idiots. Took THREE MONTHS to get in to see an ENT and then two more weeks to get into see the hearing therapist. STAY AWAY from Baylor Scott and White. Under staffed and BS artists on the phone. Terrible. I waited almost an hour past my appointment. I also went in to see a physician for a sinus infection who then prescribed a course of antibiotics. The visit coat $30. When the prescription ran out, I called in to make a follow up because I was still showing signs. I was asked to make a video visit for the follow up and was told it would cost $108. What happened? The billing is inconsistent and the physicians here do not care about anything other than making you shell out more money even when they don't diagnose the treatment correctly. The facility is great - very nice and clean. I hadn't seen a PCP in a while, so I checked my insurance coverage and found a provider at this location. Dr. Osborne was very nice and helpful. My problem is with the billing. I received 2 separate EOBs from my insurance company - one for a basic exam and one from the facility, billing me for a $180 "facility fee". Absolutely ridiculous. They need to put this information somewhere easily accessible, not hidden somewhere in 2 pages worth of legal mumbo-jumbo that they're waiting on you to sign. BSW has to be by far the most unethical, deceptive and dishonest company I've ever dealt with. If you find yourself driving to one of their locations, turn around and take yourself to the vet instead. They are absolutely horrible! *edit after BSWs canned "bot" response below. You don't care about resolving this, you're responding to deceive people into thinking you care, but we all know you don't. I will add this question: Is it your billing departments practice to belittle and patronize a patient for the reason they went to the doctor? Your staffs flippant and dismissive attitude to being asked for clarification on billing questions is beyond repulsive. To the poor unfortunate people that decide to use any of your locations in the future, here is what you can expect: Billed for services you didn't get, billed for using a building you didn't visit. And when you have the audacity to call and ask for clarification, you will be dismissed and told "you shouldn't have told the doctor about your...(insert medical concern) and it wouldn't have been billed that way". Even though they are the supposed medical professionals, all they care about is bilking you and the insurance companies for every penny they can, and then make you feel like you did something wrong when you ask about it. Let me start by saying a few nice things about this place before I begin with my laundry list of complaints. First, they have good hours and except walk-in patients, have on-site radiology, a lab, and awesome nurses, MAs, and support staff!!! I enjoy being able to access my chart online and via the app and send messages as well as receiving messages too. I can see all my labs, previous encounters,, and diagnostic studies/radiology reports, and sometimes make appointments, or manage some of my healthcare needs with this convenient tool. However, I am currently looking for a new PCP & OBGYN provider (preferably an NP or PA) because I am done with the MDs employed at this facility!!!! Consumer BEWARE and use EXTREME CAUTION when using this facility for your medical needs, unless you are 20 year-old without any prescriptions you take regularly, nor have any chronic medical conditions, including being a woman. Most of the time, my experience has been that the physicians DO NOT do anything expect refer you out or say they cannot help you unless you come in to be seen (even if you were already seen for the same issue less than 7 days prior to that date--which I am pretty sure is illegal if you are charged for the second encounter). This being said, I'm not sure if it is the physicians or the administration causing many these problems. However, the physicians act as though they have no clinical autonomy, judgement, or ability to care for "the whole patient" (the patient can mean not only the individual being seen, but also families, communities, and the public). It seems as though almost all of the clinicians that work here, specifically the MDs, only follow algorithms. IMO, mostly all of the clinicians, including the MDs, especially those in general practice, are highly incapable of seeing the uniqueness of each individual person, situation, or encounter, and do not care about your time or how many other doctors appointments or life situations that are should be taken into account when treating any human being. It seems as though most (not all) of the clinicians at BS&W don't care about you or your situation. FYI, the bedside manner of one of the male doctors (an MD) in this office is horrific and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Especially, I would NOT recommend allowing him to give you a pelvic exam, unless you want to be embarrassed and leave in tears. I also have had a few horrific experiences with the OBGYN clinic inside the RR BS&W Hospital! They seem to have no knowledge of trauma information care, do not believe in using lube on speculums for Pap smears, and will leave you bleeding without warning, pantyliners, pads, or tampons. Everything seems to come down to money... Thus, you need to also watch your account like a hawk and always request an itemized bill if you receive an unexpected bill in the mail! Also, be ready to argue vigorously with their billing department!!!! BS&W wants to get paid and don't care if you are unable to pay for something until your payday because they won't bill you unless you go to the ED or have found the one gem of a provider in the entire healthcare system (most of whom are at the Sun City Clinic, or are in the Timple/ Belton area, BTW). My recommendation, stop allowing staff to lie to patients or treat them like they are dumb! And, teach your physicians some bedside manners and look into improving your costumer relationships, instead of buying everything in site and continuing to expand when you need to fix some issues in the facilities you already have first. read more

My son was this sick, and with 40 minutes left until closing and an empty waiting room, the receptionist went back to the female doctor to ask her if she'd be willing to fit him in, and the uncompassionate bitch said "no". This was the Georgetown clinic on Rivery Blvd. I took my sick son another 24 miles out to Pflugarville, where he was thankfully seen by another pleasant and caring Scott and White Doctor. read more

I went to the BS,W in Georgetown. Do yourself a favor, NEVER go to one of these clinics! They over charge you on annual blood tests AND they took blood tests without my knowledge or permission, tests I had never taken in the past, and then, of course, charged me. My lab fees were over 700$. It took me over a month to even discover I had been tested for things I never knew about. This company rapes you. DON'T GO! They refuse to acknowledge this theft and fix it! When I confronted the gal on the phone re: the extra labs that were done on me, she said, "You did sign a form to consent to treatment." Can you believe it? I responded by saying that signing a form to consent to treatment is not giving permission to take labs without my knowledge, or consent! The arrogance!! Similar to other comments below, the billing structure for doctors, clinics, hospitals is confusing and leads to problems with the payers and confusion with patients. Additionally, had the same situation where the contract between BSW and payer ended and we were not notified. Payer blamed the clinic and clinic is blaming the payer. BSW reps keep insisting "it's not our responsibility." That could be true, but being stuck in the middle of these things does no one any good. We dropped the payer/coverage firm and will now drop BSW. Other providers seem to be able to know if you are in-network and have appropriate coverage when you register at desk, BSW did not. UPDATE BSW has escalated the situation. We are very appreciative for their taking our concern seriously and resolving the matter. Providers take the position that payer firms that fail to cover (for whatever reason) leads to patient responsibility. I can't disagree with that, but mistakes happen and well meaning patients get stuck in situations that are confusing or otherwise contentious. Patients should not get stuck with the bill. With any other product or service, we know the amount we will owe before we accept the service. Medical care and coverage needs to change so there is no misunderstanding as to out of pocket expense at the time of service. read more

WARNING! I wish I had read the reviews here about the deceptive billing practices of this company before I made my appointment. The doctor was ok, but the (basic) lab work I needed to get my thyroid prescription was over $800 out of pocket for me since I do not have insurance. No disclosure, no offer to have labs done elsewhere. You have to know to ASK the DR. what the charges will be and if you can use an independant lab. It would have cost only $100 at Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp. read more

I have seen Dr. Suffridge for three years and each time she has been extremely rude taking control of the appointment not allowing me or my advocate to speak, over talking us, my advocate comes with me to speak since Dr Suffridge upsets me so much. Dr Suffridge continually tells me that I need psychiatric help when my advocate and I speak and she continues to speak over us. She tells me each time listen to me you're not listening to me I need you to listen she tells me I need psychiatric help and she cannot help me to leave her office and has me escorted out that was in 2015 in again this year on August 7, 2018. She has been reported both to BS&W and to the medical board. I saw a different primary at a different location in the BS&W network and was apologized to and advised I wasn't crazy like Dr S had stared each time. read more

I have had a generally poor experience with Scott and White with regard to billing. I have come to expect large unanticipated bills in the mail after a doctor's visit, so I decided to become a smarter shopper and get a price from the billing office in advance of the exam. I did that a few days ago, and got a quote for $249.00, for a regular exam for my wife by a GP. I'm now on medical cost sharing (Samaritan's Ministries), so I'm cash pay. I asked my wife (I couldn't go in due to Covid) to clearly ask: "This is the entirety of the bill, correct?" I don't want any more of the surprise bill in the mail hustle. They said yes, and a few days later, lo and behold, there is a bill in the mailbox for $150.00 more. I've had it with this. No other business type in America could get away with this behavior! There is no way to price shop when you can't get a price upfront. read more

After talking to Baylor Scott and White Clinic's "social media customer service", their position is that I should have known from reading the fine print that the doctor bills separately from the clinic and that the clinic is separate from the doctors seeing patients there. So I should have known I would get two charges - one for the doctor and another for basically sitting on their chairs for 20 minutes (at $89 that comes to $267 an hour). Unbelievable. The front desk and appointment folks should be trained to tell potential patients that the clinic will bill you a separate fee that the insurance will not (or may not) reimburse. In my case, this was $89 in addition to my co-pay! Beware. read more

I went to the walk in clinic on 8/2/19 and, seen a PA for a sinus infection and, paid my co pay at the time of service and, they billed my insurance wrong. I got a bill in the mail saying I owe $60. When my co pay $30 I contacted the insurance company and they said it was billed as a specialty clinic when it a Primary Care Clinic. The only reason why I use this clinic is because of the location maybe I need to start looking at other options of a PCP. read more

Let me start by saying the Doc I had my new patient appointment with was thorough and pleasant. The front desk person was a little cold at first but then she warmed up after talking to her. I am hard of hearing so after I told her that, she did not mind repeating herself. I will not be returning because of the way the facility bills. You receive a bill for the Doc which your copay is applied to. They have you sign something they NEVER explain verbally stating there is also a FACILITY FEE which they will not commit to an amount. I found out the amount from my explanation of benefits. My facility fee for my Meet and Greet (I was just wanting to find a Doc since new to area) was $180 which my insurance company had them write off $90 to meet the contracted amount. When I called the billing company, I was told that is how all Baylor locations bill. I paid my bill and asked to have my account closed as I will not return since I feel I was deceived by them not telling me when I booked the appointment or when I arrived at clinic about a separate facility fee. Terrible. I thought the staff was really nice. However, they billed $500 for a doctor visit and a strep test, during business hours. It shows on the bill as "hospital services" and I never went to the hospital. The customer service lady I talked to was rude and no help at all, just stating the bill was correct. I left a voicemail for her supervisor. No return phone call. Baylor Scott & White responded to my review on Facebook and asked me to follow a link, fill out a form and they would reach out to me. It's been a full week and I have not heard from them. Bottom line is there is shady business going on here. The CSR I talked to tried to tell me I signed a form acknowledging I would pay my portion, and I will, when they bill it correctly. That form did not specify that they would bill it as a hospital visit. If you're going to bill as a hospital, you need to replace "clinic" with "hospital" in your name. Or at the very least, make customers aware that is how you bill. It's a bait and switch, honestly. read more

I am so thrilled at finding one of the best Doctors in Georgetown, Candida D. Suffridge, MD. I was having a difficult time finding a doctor when I moved to Georgetown that didn't have a 2 -3 month wait period to get an appointment, and I was out of prescription medication. Not only did I get in to see Dr. Suffrage within a day, she was so accommodating. Wanted to know my history and concerns and didn't rush me out of her office as fast as I walked in. She has a great memory, when I went back she remember conversations we had on my first appointment. She is progressive and really works with you to manage your health. She is a breath of fresh air, which almost makes me afraid to recommend her, because everyone will want her as their Dr too! Great clinic, fast, clean, new, and efficient and they have a great email system to stay in contact with your providers, view your test results, order prescription refills or ask a question. read more

OMG the staff at this facility is the most inept and service challenged group of individuals I have encountered in a healthcare system...and healthcare customer service has been my career for 6 years. I would give this facility a "zero" if that was possible. A clinic or physician is only as good as the people in the front office. If they cannot handle the business competently, the physician services are compromised. Just a small example, the person checking in patients was more interested in her cell phone than the patients/customers. There were also insurance issues which the staff was unable to handle. Let me pay the full amount and I will file on my own because this PA may not be in my network but I would like to be seen today -- no, they informed me they cannot allow that because it would be fraudulent. What? I give you my credit card, pay the full amount, you give me a receipt and your practice gets the funds immediately instead of waiting 6 months and getting 1/2 the rate you can charge me. Still couldn't get the staff to understand, so I left without being seen and found another doctor. Suggestion: stay away...stay far, far away. read more

My husband and I have been to a lot of Doctor's lately. Which is unfortunate, but that is a different story. This story is about how amazing Scott and White has been to us the entire time we have been trying to figure out why my husband keeps getting sick. The nurses are very attentive and kind. And my husband has Dr. Luttrell who has just been outstanding the whole time. Not to mention that the waiting room is the nicest I have ever been in for a doctor's office and it doesn't have that "dr's office smell" to it. After seeing how amazing they are I switch my primary care to them as well and use Dr. Suffridge. I was blown away by our check up. She was phenomenal! I recommend her to anyone! And with the "my chart" that you set up online you can look at any of the test results and chat with your doctor as well! And if you have to go to the hospital or any specialist through scott and white they can look up your chart as well and see all of the doctor's notes and what tests they have already done. They blew me out of the water. We are very impressed with Scott and White. read more

Went to this location thinking that since it's a smaller location, I wouldn't have to deal with the bigger location drama. Completely wrong!!! They first told me to show up at 2:00 pm, I showed up at 1:58pm. I sat there watching person after person go ahead of me, until finally they called me back and hour later. Now granted the nurse I saw and the helpers were very friendly. However I felt like total crap and sitting there with a mask on my face for over an hour was completely unpleasant. Finally I get back and they do there exams and decided to do a strep test. The results for the strep test never came back and I was already tired of being there, so the nurse said she would call me with the results. I left and went to get my prescriptions filled. The lady said only two of my prescriptions were sent over. So I had to get out of line and attempt to call the clinic several times to get an answer. No answer. The lady at the pharmacy finally came over after about 15 minutes and said they finally sent the last prescription over. I get home and hours pass by, still no call on the strep results. The reason this is important to me is because I have a 15 month old daughter who I can't be around until I find out. The next day I called and they said they would call me back, never did. Called again and explained my situation better and was told they couldn't release that information without a doctor. Of course, all the doctors are always busy. So no answer, just total bullshit!
