Well, reviews were a bit spot on about the billing. To begin with, I was at fault because when I went in for a check up and refill, I didn't have my insurance card on me. I asked if I could get it to the receptionist later to which she responded I could email it to her. Great! I then went to my car to try to go ahead and get a digital copy, got it, went back inside to show her and she said, "I told you to email it to me." I was a little embarrassed at that point and went back outside and emailed it to her. Fast forward to a week later, and I received two bills in the mail. One of them was for the checkup. When I went online to inquire about it, I was told my insurance was never applied to this visit. The second bill was from a car accident that I had back in 2016 in which I wasn't at fault. When I inquired about why I was just now receiving a bill two years later when I've been at the same address, there was no response. Essentially I was told that they don't deal with third party representatives, and I would have to figure it out myself. Needless to say, I contacted my insurance, who told me they had already been paid. I now have to reopen a claim that I thought was already done and over with two years after the incident occurred. Honestly, I loved the doctor that I saw, but if this is the way that the billing system works here, then I can honestly say I would rather find a doctor with a less than friendly bedside manner to avoid the headache of overcharged bills and underhanded business practices. read more

WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BILLED FOR A "HOSPITAL" VISIT! I wish I had come to Yelp and read prior reviews before making an appointment at this location, because I had the exact same billing experience as others before me. I was looking for a new PCP, and saw that Dr. Scanlan was in network for me, and had a background and medical treatment approach in line with my beliefs. To clarify, this is not a review for Dr. Scanlan herself, she was fantastic. However, as part of my visit, she recommended some labs, and even checked my insurance while I was in the room, and confirmed that I had coverage. The problem lies in that I was charged a "Hospital Visit" to have labs done in a chair in the same building, 10 feet away from the room where I had my initial visit with Dr. Scanlan. When I called the BS&W billing department to inquire about the $1300 bill I received for 6 labs (which I'd had done previously, same insurance/same calendar year, for less than 10% of the cost), the representative that I talked to told me he explains to "500 people a day" that since BS&W doesn't actually own the building, it's considered outpatient hospital. WOW. Just WOW. How they have ethically pulled this off for as long as they have already is beyond me. read more

I wish I could give -5 stars, actually, I wish I could give -100000000 stars. So I take my daughter in for a standard doctor appointment, just like every other doctor appointment she's had in her life or I've had in mine. Everything seems normal, standard, just like every other office I've ever been to. We see the doctor for 5 minutes. We leave. A month later I get a bill for $70 (originally $185 but reduced by my insurance company). What's this? A bill? I have amazing health insurance and I understand every detail of it, because I'm a little OCD that way. So I call my insurance company. Turns out that Scott & White charged my average, run-of-the-mill visit as a hospital outpatient visit. Hmm, this is curious, so I call Scott & White. Turns out I'm paying $70 for the privilege of seeing a doctor in their building. Turns out they charge EVERYTHING as an outpatient or inpatient hospital stay. Funny, no one ever mentioned this to me. I went back to their website, the facility's webpage, the doctor's webpage, and looked at the forms I filled out before going in...nothing. Doesn't say a word about this strange billing system. Long story short, I spend an hour on the phone with their billing department and a supervisor. He informs me that this is their policy, there is nothing that can be done, and that it's unfortunate that the office staff didn't inform me of this policy when I checked in. So guess what? I got the privilege of paying Scott & White $70!!! Turns out, it was my responsibility to ask. I questioned the supervisor if from now on I need to ask if a monkey will be my physician, because I would never suspect that I would need to inquire about that either. He chuckled by-the-way. Thinking maybe I was just the chump who missed something, I started doing some searches online. Turns out there has actually been news coverage about this on the Channel 25, and there are a lot of really angry consumers who complain about the same exact thing. Scott & White has lost my business. As much as I would love to say thanks to Scott & White in my own special way, I will refrain so my review isn't banished. read more

I've lived in 5 different states and have seen more than my share of doctors, but the staff at Baylor Scott & White (Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, & Temple) are outstanding. Having gone for everything from a cold to cancer, you can't ask for a better team of medical professionals. They are so compassionate and take time to explain things in a way that the average person can understand. Their office staff & nurses treat you like family, and show respect and concern for your privacy. The best part is that they are all in the same network, so no matter where you go, or what you go for, they all have access to your basic records. This saves a lot of time and headaches.I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing to find a doctor. read more

I had my first visit. I was upset to see such a low rating on Yelp, so I jumped on to give a quick 5-star. I made my appointment online (so easy). I was checked in quickly. Office was super clean and modern. What else, what else.... Ah, the nurse was so sweet and was actually interested in what I had to say for once. She wasn't just going through the movements. We talked about the weather and where we were from while she asked me the typical questions. It was nice. Dr. Granado was very professional and personable. A great change from my previous Dr. who was a bit neurotic and religious. Anyways, I had a great visit and I'm glad I can use their online services to keep tabs with my health. All doctors should do this. A great first visit. Hopefully I won't be back soon... If I am, at least it will be a pleasant experience. read more

This is a brand new facility on 183 in Leander. I've been seeing Dr Tim at SWs for physical therapy for a back injury since they opened the facility. Their PT area is well equipped and shiny new. The folks at the front desk are helpful and pleasant to deal with. Dr Tim has been great with not only pin pointing my back issue but also working toward ensuring that the problem does not resurface. At SW you receive a full hour appointment. You are never rushed and Dr Tim takes the time to ensure that you understand each manipulation and exercise. Very good experience so far and most importantly I'm on the way to a full recovery! read more

Terrible billing practices at this location. They tell you that things will be covered but do not take them at face value. They will lie and manipulate the billing to get every penny out of your visit. They bill facility fee codes and every other code that you can imagine to maximize the billing. They will tell you they submit pre-authorizations and not to worry about copays or deductibles. Then surprise you with $1600 bills. The test they ordered did not help me at all. They also haven't followed up with me to figure out a plan to help me. They got me to take an unnecessary test and billed me and my insurance thousands and have now disappeared. Do not bother talking to their billing department, they will just blame your insurance and insult you. I will never go to this clinic ever again. read more

Doctor Hagen was fine. This clinic charges for you to walk through the door, and doesn't tell you that they are about to scam you. I was very unhappy to receive a bill for 'clinic services'. I didn't receive any services, just had a doctor visit. I am really mad, after calling both my insurance and BSW, with no help. So don't go here. Go to a doctor that has an actual office, instead of a clinic that will rip you off. read more

I scheduled to have lab work done at the Leander clinic because it's right around the corner from where I live and I figured it would be less busy than the Cedar Park clinic. Unfortunately, less busy does not mean faster. I was there 25 minutes with one person ahead of me and still hadn't been called. The receptionist didnt seem concerned when i asked about the wait. Because of a tight work schedule, I finally just had to leave. I've been called faster at labs with 5 people ahead of me. I won't be scheduling labs at this facility agsin. read more

The docs were good and I never had to wait too long. That is why they get two stars. Back in February they change their t&c. The new t&c was two pages long. They would only show you the first page and then ask you to sign their little electronic signature pad. When they did the update and asked me to sign I noticed then second page. Pretty much it asks you to sign away any consumer protection. Anywhere other than the healthcare field this would be considered a fraudulent business practice but we seem to let these mega healthcare companies do whatever the hell they want. I refused to sign and left. I never got a bill. Fast forward to today and I get a call from a collections agency. No invoices in the mail, no eob from my insurer, nope just a call from some company that they have sold my debt to. S&W is a big part of what is wrong with healthcare. Huge companies who do not even try to do business the right way and then scream about unpaid medical bills. read more

Worst clinic ever.... Had a appointment at 320 got called back to the room at 345. Okay running a lil late I see. Then 4:20 comes around no dr 1 hour after my appointment.. just walked out so don't go to that clinic. Had a appointment with Dr Scanlon. Stay clear from this place no apologies or anything. read more

I liked the doctors,staff and convenient location. Everything but the billing!!! BEWARE! You will be charged for a facility fee because they pretty much charge you like a hospital visit. 1 doctors fee and facility fee. I finally called customer service because after paying our full doctors visit, we would get bills and bills and bills. $106.00 every visit to use their facility! They tried to tell me that other clinics do it too, but that I don't "see" it! That's BS! I've worked for medical offices and have only heard of these charges when they are hospitals or outpatient surgery! This is complete fraud, to state you are a "clinic", but are really a "hospital" acting as a clinic and getting away with billing unsuspecting people. read more

Dr. Alison Granato has been my family's primary care physician for a little over 2 years. I was referred to her by a friend, and just after one visit, I moved everyone in my family to her practice. I went to Urgent Care on the Eve due to a severe sinus infection and the doctor there was okay but the meds he prescribed didn't work for me. I went back to Dr. Granato a week later during their regular hours. She listened to me very carefully and checked me thoroughly. She prescribed the correct meds and steroid for my completely congested nose. My appt was 9 AM and I started feeling so much better by noon. One thing I really love and appreciate about Dr. Granato is that whenever I express my feelings or past experiences, she takes them into consideration and actually listens to you without being pushy and aggressive. I honestly do feel that I have a great doctor-patient relationship with her. read more

They got me an appointment for my shoulder same day. They got me into the appointment as soon as I got there, with a minimum of BS paperwork. Dr Hagen was very helpful and thorough in his exam. I left with a clear plan for self-rehab, with an option for further steps if necessary. I will definitely use these folks again. read more

I love this clinic. I've been using Dr. Granado for years and have received excellent care. Having once been a nurse I'm very picky. The nurses and Dr Scanlon are great but the billing is terrible. THey mess something up every single time we go there. I have had 4 different insurance providers in the years I have been going there and they have messed up with each one of them. One time for a lab it doesn't cost a thing but come back 2 months later for the same lab and all of the sudden the charge is $400. I have tried numerous times to clear the charges up but never have had any luck. They aren't worth the headache. read more

On Nov 2 I was feeling very unwell. Got an appointment to see Dr. Hagen at BaylorScott&White's Leander Clinic. Hagen is an extraordinary doctor. Smart, personable but efficient with time, zeroed in on my appendix. Ordered tests. The entire clinic staff was on my team, ensuring that the blood draw went with the last courier of the day so it got to the lab. That evening Dr. Hagen contacted me with the test results and urged me to get to the ER pronto. The speed and efficiency of everyone at BSW was extremely important to my positive outcome. A skilled surgeon took out my appendix that night. Weeks later, for Thanksgiving, I smoked a turkey and shared a delicious meal with family. Part of the process of smoking a turkey is sitting outside, reveling in the beautiful Texas weather, tending the grill, and reflecting upon what I have to be thankful for. I am thankful that BSW was there when I needed the best. read more

my wife went to a s&w physical therapy facility in georgetown by way of a referral by her doc. she just talked to one of the therapists there for 30 minutes and my wife felt p/t wasn't going to help her so she left. a month later we receive a bill in the mail for $510.00 . blue x paid $200.00 but my wife was responsible to pay the 310.00 remaining. I called billing they said there was no mistake in the bill. I called the p/t clinic and they said it was not a mistake. so i called the customer serv. # and talked to a supe there and that one of the charges was $177.00 facility charge . because they rent the bldg that there in they charge you the patient a facility charge. I still can't believe it ! and it seems to be legal ! I dont know of any doctor or p/t that charges a $1000.00 an hour ! s&w are a huge ripoff health care provider . my neighbor told me some horror stories as well . stay away from s&w for your own good !!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
