I have been going here for the past few years and i ended up changing doctors. I used to see Dr. Finan who i did not have any issues with. At one time they actually grasped what an appointment meant, In my mind if i have a 4:00 appointment i should not have to wait until 5:20 to see a Doctor. Besides that I scheduled an appointment with P.A. Logan was ended up meeting with Dr. Hussain. Right away he was telling me about a law where i need to take a drug test before he continues my prescription. I said ok since it was a law how can i even argue. Turns out I get a $220.00 bill from my insurance because they only covered $1000.00 of it. That was the last time i went to this doctor. My new doctor did not require me to take any lab tests and has been continuing my prescriptions without issue. Basically this guy is a crook and they are not in the healthcare practice. They are in it for business and to make money. They can care less about their patients and the costs that the incur. If you like paying and waiting for hours for your appointment then i highly recommend this place. If not, stay away. read more

HORRIBLE!! They are not at all honest about your wait time, they have a TV in the lobby looped playing pharmaceutical ads over and over, baby been crying last 20 minutes. 1 hour 15 minute wait and they're not even busy! It seems their Dr's like to take really long late lunches! They told a customer on the phone, don't come till 2 or 2:15, or make it 2:15 or 2:30 when our doctors are back from lunch! I've been going to this place for several years and it's becoming more and more of a meat market. It's all about up charging you for service as opposed to healthcare. They have convenient hours so you can easily schedule around your work hours but I'm at the point that I can no longer overlook the office staff. Go somewhere else if you want quality care and a team that remembers your the patient. In this place your nothing but a number. I had to come and provide an updated review 8/29/2016. I called to have a prescription refilled the receptionist transferred me over to dr talat's assistant Stephanie...her voicemail which told me if I was calling regarding a prescription that I already had do not leave a message on this line because it would not be responded to I needed to call the pharmacy to fax in a refill request. if this was for a new prescription I needed to speak to the receptionist at the front desk. this makes no sense since my pharmacy tried several times to fax over a refill request which this doctors office ignored hence why I'm calling so basically they want you to come in every time you need a refill that's not on your medication and pay the co-pay and the other fees associated with a doctors visit to write a script. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years despite all the changes since the hours of operation are great. This is your place of choice if you want to be nickel and dimed. read more

I have been going to Dr Hussain for 2 years now. I have never experienced the long Waits that's so many people seem to complain about on here. As a matter of fact I have rarely waited longer than 20 minutes in the lobby before being called in to see the doctor. Dr Hussain is extremely efficient and he is normally in the exam room within 5 minutes after I have entered. He is a very compassionate man and he is very knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable entrusting My Healthcare to him. I have lived in Jacksonville all of my life and I have tried many different doctors offices. Dr. Talat Imam refused to diagnose me with an autoimmune disease during the 10+ years I was in her "care", despite my 4 generation family history. I am partially to blame, only for staying as long as I did knowing she wasn't taking me seriously. I guess as a patient you expect your "doctor" to do you no harm. Well, I'm not exaggerating when I say she nearly killed me. She put me through withdrawals after Dr. Finan- another doctor at this location, put me on a Xanax and Klonopin cocktail to treat my racing heart. She took me off the Xanax cold turkey after taking it for a month straight, and I ended up in the hospital twice, and lost 30lbs. I had no idea why until another doctor explained to me that I was going through withdrawals. She told me I should have been weaned off of the medication- and that I was lucky. She also greatly affected my quality of life by refusing to test my T3, T4, and TSH levels. She said she tested my thyroid, and it came back normal- but she can tell that to my surgeon who removed my thyroid last year. It was so overgrown and mangled that my endocrinologist said removing it "extended my life", after seeing the biopsy. It had overgrown onto one of my parathyroid, and it had to be taken out too. I was officially diagnosed with Hashimotos, and Graves' disease last year by an endocrinologist. Which is where you should have sent me when I told you I had a family history. It's where you should have sent me since you couldn't handle it. The symptoms include: racing heart, anxiety, depression, muscle pain and weakness, sensitivity to cold, constipation, high blood pressure, migraines, nausea, vomiting, chronic urticaria (hives), tremors, memory lapse, unexplained weight gain, prolonged periods, etc- all of which I had, and came in for.. but you laughed in my face, called me a hypochondriac, told me I was depressed and overweight- and had no real problems in this world to worry about. I think about that a lot. Especially now. Now that I'm sitting here, about to go in for an ultra sound on my neck to see if my thyroid is growing back. Did you know that can happen, Imam? Did you know a thyroid can regenerate? Even after a total Thyroidectomy? Did you know it's common for Graves' patients? Did you know that Graves' caused my right eye to swell up to the point where my Optomotrist thought I had a tumor behind my optic nerve? To the point where I could have lost my eyesight? Did you know that there is generally a 4-6 month wait period to see an ophthalmologist? So, for approximately 5 months, I thought I had a tumor in my head because I hadn't been diagnosed with thyroid disease because of you? It only took the ophthalmologist 2 seconds to tell me there wasn't, but for 5 months I thought the worst? Because you thought I was a joke. Over a decade of my life I suffered because of you. I hope you read this. I hope it changes you. Because you changed me, and it was NOT for the better. read more

I was patient a of this practice, more than 3 years ago. I left them because, for 10-15 min care, they wrote a length of multiple none-sense diagnosis, and billed the insurance a hefty charges, which I had the pay most of it. I have been a patient here for over 16 years and now since I switched insurance which they currently have patients using but now they won't accept mine. 16 years of being loyal to the same doctor and I have a receptionist tell me no sorry can't come here anymore. So I guess you can tell that baymeadows primary only cares about money and not a relationship built thru the years. Amazing!! Off to find a new doctor because obviously you are just another number with these people. Avoid thus place like the plague. Wish I would of found this out years ago. read more

My daughter went there on 11-22-16 for a laceration over the joint of her finger. I am an emergency room physician in south Florida and she texted me a picture. I told her that she needed sutures, which any qualified physician would see. She called me after her visit and told me they put steristrips on it, a completely inappropriate and LAZY treatment. They charged her a copay and billed insurance. I called them once I heard this and was first told that the "doctor" was in with another patient and then, that the "doctor" had left. The nurse (I use these terms loosely) told me that if I think she needs sutures, she should go to the emergency room! As a double board-certified physician with over 30 years experience, this is a disgrace particularly for the unsuspecting and trusting patients who walk into this joke of a medical office. Judging from the other reviews, I am surprised they remain in business. read more
