Very sketching hotel there were a lot of smoke in the hallways. When I tried to microwave food it worked but I couldn't open it unless it was unplugged. There was dirt everywhere and hair the AC was broken. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Noticed many room doors on the first floor were jambed halfway shut, trim falling off of some. Other room windows were covered in condensation, wtf is up with that lol. To scared to try the breakfast. I've stayed in baymont hotels before, this one was the worst. Wanted to check in at 1:30 and was told it would be 35$ extra as check in is at 3. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. While I have always found it to be an inexpensive option with some deficiencies in basic cleanliness and services, my most recent stay was my last. I booked two rooms for three nights each via hotels.com as I was traveling with family. On the first night, around 2 AM, while laying on my bed watching TV, I saw a bed bug crawling across my bed. I immediately recorded a short video and took a couple of pictures before killing it. I then packed up my belongings and moved into the second room, as my cousins had not yet arrived as expected. The next morning, I reported the bed bug incident to the front desk. Shockingly, I was informed that I had to vacate the hotel because I had been exposed to bed bugs. The manager, who had never dealt with this situation before, confirmed that their policy required me to leave the hotel grounds immediately. She filled out a request for a refund for my stay (two rooms, three nights each). An hour later, while I was packing, an exterminator knocked on my door. He inspected the room, and I showed him the bed bug video and pictures. He mentioned that there had been sightings in other rooms besides mine. According to hotels.com, I cannot get a refund unless the hotel manager approves it, which he did not. Therefore, I lost all the money I paid due to the hotel's bed bug infestation. This is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise against staying at this property. read more

Hotel was extremely dirty. 1st room we were offered had spider webs in the raggedy lamp shades, gum and paint stuck on the floor, sheets was not on the bed, dirty carpet was not vacuumed and we had paid thru Hopper. The web site is misleading and the pictures. The so called cable went out and did not come back on. I was told the pool was open which it was not, the lobby was very dirty. People was smoking at the entrance door. Hotel was very shocking. Elevator was down and we were offered a room on the 3rd floor, which was also unexceptionable. Finally got another room on the 1st floor which was ok but the floor was still very dirty. Took a picture of my feet from walking inside the room and carried it to front desk and showed the lady. She said Sorry! lol I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs to be shut down and renovated and they also need to train the staff on how to clean and repair. read more

So maintenance was called to fix the leak in the first room. And house keeping cleaned. But the stains on tbe furniture, the bedding. Mirrors and walls. The carpet was so disgusting. Beaumont is usually a name that is associated with a quality hotel. I hotwired this hotel and pleased to have found a great rate for my 2 daughters, myself and my mom. Check-in went quickly. However, our room was not quite what I expected. The room was in great need of vacuuming. There was debris on the floor. The bathroom was dirty and the faucet had a steady stream leaking. The rooms are not clean there were cans under the bed, the sheets were on backwards and the room had ants. The room is configured odd and too cluttered. The toilets are very, very low plus the flooring was very nasty. The hotel needs updating pealing pain, torn carpet, the doors don't close properly, phones don't work or were stolen. The remotes are broken that is if you have one one at all. The noise of loud music can be heard all night from the parking lot. This hotel needs to be torn down. The ceiling outside was falling down. The cement walkway was a mess upstairs. The elevator was broken according to the front desk. The jacuzzi was filthy. We filled it up and got in and I touched the inside wall and it was gross. It had remnants of other people taking a bath and not being cleaned. We could not get out of it fast enough. We ran to the store and bought Scrubbing Bubbles and and cleaned it ourselves. There were dead flies in the windows. The elevator hasn't worked in months according to the staff. I was checked into a first floor room finally because I couldn't carry my luggage up and down stairs. it was by far the filthiest room I've ever seen. The toilet was stained with urine, the bathtub full of hair and scum, the lamps didn't work, the clock didn't work, and the floors were coated with scum. I asked three times to have someone clean my room, and the last night of my stay, Laurie , from the Front Desk, came and cleaned the bathroom so I was able to shower for my flight out. I had to go to gas stations to use their facilities and used wipes and washcloths to be clean. I slept in my clothes. after almost 40 years in the hotel business, i thought I'd seen everything, but this was beyond anything I've ever seen. it is filthy and disgusting! This place is disgusting, I am on my way back home on a military trip and my coworker booked here. I walked between the beds and was immediately sliced on my leg by a giant piece of metal sticking out from the side of the bed. I saw a screw but sitting on the night stand, got down on my hands and knees to look under the bed and the entire frame is about to collapse. Not to mention, the floor underneath is completely covered in trash and dust, I stood back up and was immediately slide again by the same damn piece of metal. The health inspector needs to come through this place, I will never stay at a Baymont again and they will definitely be getting a complaint shortly. Claims to meet ADA standards. I have photo evidence they do not. My Mother called to see if they had grab bars. They technically do, but in a useless location. They are above the toilet too high to reach. Bathroom in lobby has accessibility sign, but photos prove it is also not meeting standards. I am unsure how this hotel got approved for ADA standards, but if you are disabled stay away from this hotel. I stayed there several weeks ago through a travel discount site through my employer. I first had a hard time finding the hotel since the directions in my GPS had me turn to an area in between two other hotel and the hotel sign was not very noticeable from the road. When I finally found the place. The hotel looked very old and had a very "hoodish" demeanor like being in projects. The lobby area was ok except for the fact that the bathroom was inop. The smell from that bathroom lit up the whole downstairs area. The room left alot to be desired as well. Was areas of mold stains and old caulk or sealant in bathroom. There was creaking sound in the room when you walked towards the door. The whole hotel and room looked like it needed an update. The room halls smelled of cleaning supplies and Marijuana. complimentary breakfast was very subpar. No waffle mix, no eggs sausage, bacon, or hot foods. So bad we ended up getting a hotel elsewhere and lost money. The first room we got smelled like someone had just been smoking in it/another bad smell. The second room we got and was said by the worker was good (asked for a new one) was still dirty from last guests, so we got a third one. Still not great, but better than the first two. I mean come on, 2 rooms before it was acceptable? The place was dirty in general and did not feel comfortable staying so had to find another place. Part of me felt like I was piling on when I started writing this review, then I thought about my whole experience at this hotel, and concluded it's simply the truth. We stayed here for a youth baseball tournament because it was listed as a "tournament hotel". Prior to checking in I read some recent reviews and figured the negative reviews were left by bitter guest. I was completely wrong. This hotel has numerous problems when it comes to cleanliness. The parking lot, lobby, front desk, elevator, hallway and room all were filthy. We entered our room only to find ants all over the nightstand. The mattress had to be from when the hotel originally opened as the springs were completely wore out. The smell in the room was not that of pine sol, and took roughly an hour to dissipate with the window open. Upon checking out the following morning, the front desk agent asked how our stay was. We explained everything we experienced and her reply was, "oh". Not "oh that's too bad", or "oh how can I help" but simply "oh". She put her head down finalizes our paper work and walked away. I realize not all Baymonts are the same, but this one needs a complete audit from corporate. As others have said, stay elsewhere, there's a Comfort Suits 100 feet away as well as a Fairfield that are great. read more

But new room toilet was plugged they had maintenance come fix it it smelled much better than first room. The microwave had previous guest food still in it. I was staying for a week and absolutely no room service for the week and I had even requested it twice before finally on Friday they came to the room to vacuum and ended up servicing the whole room. It was not a clean room. But based on what I saw, I didn't expect that any other room would be any better. The whole bathroom area was gross. Hair on the counter. Pretty sure it was pubic hair even. There was mold on the ceiling and hair in the shower. A dirty towel in the bathroom and the back of the door was dirty. The beds looked slept in. The sheets weren't even on the mattress all the way. Worst hotel ever, and I've been to some questionable places. This is by far the worst I've ever been to!! Room was disgusting!! Pubic hairs on the toilet seat, dirty socks under a chair, wrappers all over the bathroom floor, no continental breakfast as posted on signs by the elevators, just coffee and juice, not a thing in their vending machines, out of all drinks in every vending machine. Which when you have young children and get hungry, well there's nothing for them here!! And their pool ,disgusting and cloudy and dirty with popped blow up toys all over the place! Keep your money and I suggest not this hotel it's not worth the money cause you just get nothing from it and nobody does social distancing! And you barely get any tv channels! HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! We stayed here out of necessity for 2 nights. It was the cheapest hotel near where we lived, and we needed an impromptu place to stay. It is in a great location and has standard amenities: workout room, outdoor pool, breakfast, fridge and microwave, and ample parking. But, this place looks real rundown and gritty... like staying at a stock roadside motel with my family in the early 90s. Our room was clean enough, but it was very outdated and had that musty old hotel smell. There was also a lot of outside noise from traffic, parked cars, neighboring rooms, and tons of people walking around at all hours. It wasn't a very comfortable feeling. read more

After telling the person behind the desk of what I found in the room and taking pics, they didn't seem to care at all and just gave me another room for me to find the same thing on the second room. Horrible experience. For the price we did not expect the Ritz but we did expect for our room to at least be cleaned. There were ants all over the desk, later discovered an empty fast food cup under the desk. The ceiling was peeling from water spots and the bathroom had mold. I went to put something in the refrigerator and discovered an old piece of cheesecake in the freezer. Garbage behind the couch and the inside of the trash bin underneath the liner. With the Covid pandemic you'd think they would have higher standards of cleaning but they really missed the mark here. If they overlooked this big stuff, what else was not cleaned? Lost power at my house so I decided to get a room at a hotel. Choose this place because it was dog friendly, reasonably priced, and in a nice area. The place is a dump! My room was dirty. Two of the lights didn't work. Had to keep my dog from going under the bed to chew the underwear and garbage left behind. I left after 10 minutes. The rooms are decent size and in typical fashion. The location is prime due to all the restaurants around it. The staff was more then helpful in multiple occasions. Breakfast was pretty good. Biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, an assortment of muffins and danishes. The only downside was that the A/C was broke in my room. We stayed here because friends had booked a room here. That was the worst decision I've ever made. The rooms are old. The shower didn't turn off so it dripped water all day/night. A piece of the ceramic baseboard was unglued and on the floor. The toiletries were used and only half full. The shower was discolored. When we arrived the woman at the front desk was rude and acted annoyed that she needed to check guests in the room. We had to ask for an extra key card and when we got to the room it didn't work. My family and I decided to stay here while visiting my sister from California and it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We stayed for 8 nights and breakfast each morning was the same. I would have thought they'd rotate the meal but nope. Biscuits & gravy or waffles for breakfast each morning and they didn't even have fresh fruit available at all times. On the first night we didn't want to bother the maid so we put up the do not disturb sign and boy did they take advantage of that. When we did decide that we wanted our room clean we made sure take the do not disturb sign off. Arriving back to the hotel after a long day of traveling we came back to a room where the beds were never made, towels were thrown on the counter, trash was changed but the toilet paper wasn't. If I could give it zero stars I would. First, I never received a reservation confirmation as promised....ok, I can let that go. Second, upon check-in, the person behind the counter had no idea what he was doing and it took 20 minutes just to check in...ok, I can let that go. When the hotel charged me $50 for missing towels, I couldn't let that go. We were only there long enough to sleep and didn't even shower so I'm not even sure there were towels in the room. I called and the desk clerk said I could complain to Wyndham (owner of the franchise) if I wanted. I called Wyndham and got nowhere. I called the hotel back and the manager dodged my calls. The room smelled like smoke even though they make you sign a no smoking document. The furniture was made in the 50's,I would rate this place a negative 5 if it allowed me too. The City should shut this dump down. Booked the dump room two nights and only stayed one night only because we were so tired from traveling. Left the next morning. Requested to be reimbursed for the night we didn't stay and was told the general manager would have to approve on Monday, he didn't work weekends. Called the manager and he never returned my call. We stayed two nights and we had no towels upon check in. We were given towels after two times of asking. We were out all day on day two and all that was done from housekeeping was to remove the garbage but not replace the bag and take the dirty towels and not replace them either. The room was decorated nice and the appearance of the hotel was decent. The bed and linens were very, very comfortable...a huge plus. Minus.... housekeeping could use an upgrade. When I first got to my room I had dropped my bottle water on the tile and used a towel to clean it up...the towel was so dirty afterwards that I had to go ask for a new one. The daily tasks of wiping down the tables and such were done but it's obviously been a while since it had been deep cleaned. The room is rather tight and it can be a little walk to the elevator, if you have difficulty walking it may be best to request a 1st floor room. The pool area is nice, there are plenty of chairs and a BBQ area nut again it could use a spruce up as there was a badly broken lounge chair and one of the rails at the steps leading out of the pool was not securely fastened. All of the staff members were very pleasant and good to work with. Very convenient located and for the money it wasn't bad. read more

Stayed here because our flight at DTW was delayed to the next day and our airline gave us vouchers for lodging. The only good thing about this hotel is that it's a 12-minute drive to the airport. Otherwise this was probably the least pleasant hotel experience of my life. We asked for a room with two beds, since there were three of us. We were given a "suite" which turned out to be a room with a bed and then a couch with a lumpy fold-out mattress. There were no extra sheets for the fold-out mattress and when we asked for some we were given two folded sheets (no blankets, comforter, etc.) and told that was the only available bedding. The room reeked of smoke and it was extremely damp, to the point that our shoes and belongings felt wet in the morning. The bedsheets in the regular bed felt sticky and I hope to god this was due to the dampness and not something else. I'm glad we only stayed here a few hours. read more

I had recently stayed at the Baymont and was quite pleased until....i went to book again. U was upset, insulted and embarrassed when the manager told us we were nor welcom here. My family and I are not thugs or hooligans so we were quite surprised at this. She was extremely rude and said the owner called and stated "our kind" isn't welcome here. How did he know we were there? He called? We were in the lobby for 2 minutes. We were also overcharged from our last visit. They refused to correct the problem. Do not visit this location.
