The room was what we expected, however no microwave. I did notice there was one in the lobby, but it's very unlikely I would walk down to use it. The room was clean. There was a closet and a shower/tub combo. Comfortable bed. There's a hot breakfast in the morning. It consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes along with waffles, cereal, and bagels. I like that the breakfast goes until 10 a.m. and checkout is at noon since we aren't early risers. Staff was pleasant. The only real negative is that there isn't any laundry area for guests to do a load of laundry. There is a room with two computers and a printer for guest use. There's a steakhouse just across the parking lot. The food isn't great considering the menu prices, but it will do if you want a sit-down meal close by.

The woman at the counter said they are all like this, which was weird as we come very often to Hampton Inn and we sleep on pillows- not cushion. Breakfast: sausage looks like old dried left over sausages. Milk was in little bottles and not in jar as usual. Toaster was half broken and we had to manually stop to remove our toasts as smoke was coming out. waffle maker had broken timer and one of the guest had a waffle that looks like it went through a tornado. Parking spot is mixed with other non guests, which makes it limited with spaces. We reported these at the counter and all they could say was "  i hope next time it will be better ". There is a small indoor swimming pool (It was always full when I was near it so I didn't get a photo) and a small fitness room with a variety of equipment. The hotel had two elevators but just one seemed to be working and it was very slow. The left elevator never seemed to be operating during my stay. Breakfast was nice with a large variety of hot and cold items available. I'd stay here again if in the area.

There are so many things that can go wrong with a blind selection but this one had not one disappointment! The house was built in the early 1900's and has been restored to the grandeur the original owner envisioned. Alan and Patti are the owners and they have worked hard to fill the house with furniture and art appropriate to the age. I believe every guest will be pleased when they first walk in the door. The bedding is very good and very comfortable made up with nice linens not high count cotton thread but very nice. The breakfast served each morning is wonderful. We had scrambled egg, perfectly done, bacon and toast. Fresh fruit and a fluffy croissant filled with chocolate and whipped cream. Sound decadent? It is! The next morning we had quiche with cinnamon raisin toast, fresh strawberries and yes yet another croissant. Just wonderful but breakfast was not the best part. The best part is the caring attentive inn keepers..! Patti and Alan are welcoming, caring and just great people. We talked and the conversation took on the style of friends conversing not acquaintances exchanging small talk. There is an art to that and each of them possess the prompt skills to engage strangers. He was on his motorcycle and had an event to get to and I was shortly behind him in the car with our luggage. I was so angry when I walked into this hotel room and smelled nothing but a musty moldy smell. The room was hot so I thought, maybe cutting the A/C on would help after a little while. No. It didn't. After such a long drive, I go to use the restroom and literally squatted over the seat like it was a public restroom because of how disgusting this bathroom was. The more I look around, this room reminds me of one of those that you usually only reserve per hour, if you know what I mean. I immediately started taking pictures. I'm not a confrontational person so I initially call my husband, on the verge of tears, because there was absolutely no way I could sleep in this room. There were burn holes on my bed. Mosquitoes and gnats on the ceiling and walls. My door barely latched shut and looked as if it had been kicked in numerous times. The photo with the fly on the rusty refrigerator was my room. The other room had the microwave and coffee pot in the bathroom by the sink on the counter. I didn't even want to sit my clothes on the chair because it looked like it had blood stains. The office chair they have on their desk had all of the leather peeled off of it. My husband has me come meet him at the event and show him the pictures. The pictures Ive attached are of two different rooms. We had another group with us that we reserved a room for as well. Who also just checked in and left with my husband. When I showed him these, he's just as disgusted. I was able to find another hotel across the street with great reviews and accommodations and booked with them. We leave our event and go back to the hotel to get our stuff and I turn in our key. She tells me she knows she can refund Saturday night (the next night) but doesn't know about tonight (Friday night) because we were checked in for more than 30 minutes. At that point I told her I understand but that's also why I'm turning in the key so that they don't think I'm staying the night there and that I will follow up with corporate in the morning with the photos, etc. She tells me to come in the morning when the manager is there to talk to them. I come in the next morning (different clerk at this point) and she says the manager is not in but she will give them a call because of the whole not being able to refund me for Friday night. We, at that point just leave. She calls about 5 minutes after we left to say the owner said he has refunded us both nights. Don't get me wrong, they were nice people working there but their pictures online are an absolute lie and misinterpretation of what their establishment actually looks like. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to even a roach. Shoot, they probably wouldn't stay there either. We didn't stay long enough to figure out where their "complimentary breakfast" was. I'm also still waiting on my refund. They said it takes 3-5 business days. So we'll see. So glad Country Inn & Suites (Angelique) was able to help save us that weekend.

The positive - Jamie at the front desk was likeable and informative. She recommended the attached mexican restaurant and we found it reasonably priced and good. Our room was clean. The negative - EVERYTHING else! The room seemed dingy with scuff marks on the entrance door and stains on the easy chair and desk chair with a slight smell of mustyness. ALL the lamps were rusty and all the shades were broken and stained. I did go back to the desk, but it seems all the rooms have similar deficiencies. This room had no ironing board or dry cleaning bags. In addition, the exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom. The topper was the major leak into our bathroom at 4:30AM with the ceiling falling in. The front desk did give us another room to shower. There are no phones in the rooms, so we had to get dressed to go to the front desk....I think a major security issue not having phones. I changed this from 1 star to 2 stars because the GM did the right thing and refunded our money.

After a long day of driving, we just walked in without prior online registration, but the place wasn't at all busy. It was originally a different brand hotel and bought out by Red Roof, which explained why I first thought it was a new branch. It has been renovated somewhat, plus the listing on Yelp is brand new. But it s only new to the Red Roof franchise. There were a few problems with the place, not the least of which of a large step in shower with zero handrails or grip. My wife was a little fearful of making a misstep and slip. The key cards didn't work a lot of the time. There was a mini fridge and a mini microwave, plus several charging ports for phones and other devices. The beds were comfortable also. Major construction was going on along the I95 exit and the main road which made the exit hard to see as we sped by it. There were occasional loud crashes from the construction and other noises like the beep-beep of trucks in reverse. It also caused our eye hole on the door to film over. Plus there was a film of dust on our vehicle the next morning . That was the part I mentioned not being the hotel's fault. You know, come to think of it, after reading this I guess it is worth four stars, especially considering the red Roof we stayed at the next night.
