Do NOT ever do business with this outfit. I can't even believe that Baymont/Wyndham would even allow a substandard and crooked outfit would allow this property to fly under their flag. I was charged a $50 security deposit that was told would be credited back to my acct after checkout. I booked this room thru Priceline and when I arrived at the property I was told that I needed to supply a CC and would be charged the $50 security deposit. It's been 12 days and the $50 has not been returned. I called the property and was told that it takes a few days to show up on the account. It has never taken 12+ days to show up. They now have my number blocked. I contacted the corporate # and was told to contact the property directly even after I told them that the property has my # blocked. Corporate is beyond useless. I will be filing a dispute with my CC company. I also want to mention that the rooms were not clean and overall the property was substandard. read more

All I needed was a clean, cheap room for an overnight stay during a road trip. It was cheap ($60), front desk staff was friendly, but that's about it. I mean, I don't need a bunch of amenities, but a bedside lamp and working AC are the least I'd expect. And maybe enough toilet paper? The AC running at full blast wasn't working at all (looks like it's never been cleaned, so that could be why). The room stunk the hotel is completely outdated, pretty dirty not a fan, would never come back, and the buffet was pretty much empty! The bathroom sink faucet had all kinds of credit around it and they forgot to give us coffee cups for the coffee maker. so we headed down the block to the waffle hut. From the moment I arrived I was concerned. The front doors were broken. The man checking me in made inappropriate comments about my looks and appearance and made me feel unsafe as a woman travelling alone. The coffee pot leaked all over the floor, the outlet tripped repeatedly, one light flickered, and another one couldn't even be used. I ran out of toilet paper and there were no extras in the room. The breakfast was soggy scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy, toast or mini waffles. No condiments and only powdered creamer. My key stopped working twice so I kept having to go to the front desk to have it fixed. On my last day, housekeeping came early and was rude stating I needed to leave because check out was t 11:00. I commented and said, It's 10:45 now, yes? She replied, "Oh shit!" and walked away. When I tried to talk to the checkout manager, he laughed. I asked him why he was laughing and he said, he was thinking about something else and it was making him laugh and he asked me to repeat myself because he wasn't listening. A dilapidated, poorly maintained property. Pros: - Firm bed. - AC worked well. - Hot water in shower... but not at sink. Cons: - Exterior plant beds not maintained and full of weeds. - Reception area dated and in need of cosmetic repairs. - Hallway to room had missing wallpaper, and areas of damage on the floor. Marks on wall are evidence repairs have been put off for a long time. - Room door was incorrectly hung so that it stuck in it's metal frame. We had to throw our weight against it to get it open or closed. - Room was clean, if you didn't look too close. Hairs in the bath/shower, extra screws in the wall where (presumably) previous wall art had been, carpet had some stains. - Toilet wobbly on floor, and seat not secured to bowl. - No plastic bag for the ice bucket, and two styrofoam cups. Was any of that cleaned and sanitized? - A big stain on the bedsheet edge, and the sheets were threadbare. - Pillows so thin I had to double two of them to get a typical pillow height. - Towels so cheap or old the worn description of sandpaper came to mind. (And boy were they small.) - Shower head had a crack in it and shot water up to the ceiling. - A breakfast that almost wasn't. A donut, two pieces of bread, some cereal, and biscuits/gravy. The other guests all reported that everything was stale. "Poke around the biscuits. find the one least like a hickey puck, smother it in gravy, and it's okay," one advised. Jam for the bread was a large industrial jar in the refrigerator. Another guest warned that the jar was very sticky. - No one around departure morning to discuss issues with. - Credit card was charged more than receipt stated. No answer on hotel number when I called to get refund. - Cost for above (all-in): $68 In short, a place the owner is doing little or nothing to keep up. And thus a disgrace to the Wyndham brand. read more

This hotel may be cheap, but it definitely is not taken care of. There were stains all over the bed, one of the beds didn't even have sheets, and the AC is old and broken. Oh not to mention the metal frame on the bed was broken and sticking out. I didn't notice it right away and cut my leg while sitting on the bed. Horrible! Very disappointed that this property is considered a Wyndham property! We booked a non smoking room that reaped of cigarette smoke. There was food in the refrigerator and non hotel shampoo left in the shower. There wasn't a garbage can supplied with the room. Second day that we were there, the room wasn't straightened up by housekeeping as expected. Made complaint to night clerk and he said that he would make sure it was taken care of the next day. We came back for the third night to find that housekeeping still had not been in the room at all. Now looking at all the other reviews, nothing has changed. read more

Worst ever! Stayed 3 days. On 3rd day mngr saw me in parking lot & asked what room was I in. I thought he was a guest, so I said "yes, I'm staying there" & kept going off the property. When I got back he was behind the counter. We both said hi, then he asked again for my room. I asked was he stalking me, & proceeded up the stairs. He followed me to the laundry room, finally said he was the mngr, then threatened to put me out & call the police. My job put me up, so I had the reservation in my phone. He called his employee upstairs, at which time I showed my room key & reservation number. I told him I'd file a report {#4719229 - which they didn't follow up on} & he refused to give me his name. As they walked away he told her "let him stay the nite, but he's gotta go in the morning". When I came downstairs he said I can stay & my job 'just' called to confirm ~ bs! My job gave me the conf# 3 hrs prior, & told me they didn't just call anyone. They went through priceline. I can get past the holes in the walls, old pastries & spotted sheets replaced with torn ones, but not the disrespect. Arrived at 7pm and given a key to a room that wasn't clean. Figured that it was busy because they had a lot of guests coming in so we said no problem we'll get dinner and be back in an hour. Come back 2 hrs later and the room hasn't been touched. On top of all this I found the man at the front desk difficult. When I called a couple weeks before my stay to check on things, I was talked over, found it difficult to get what I wanted to say out, and questioned as to the length of my stay. When he was trying to look up my reservation he read off someone else's phone number and address saying this is you right? No, but thanks for some other guest's personal info! When I complained to Expedia they call the hotel to try to get a refund. Hotel desk guy lied and told Expedia I arrived at 330 (which is still after "check in") and isn't the point. The fact is we booked a room a year in advance and it wasn't clean by 9pm. Why am I paying for a room for it not to be clean at a reasonable hour? They refused to give my money back. I stayed at Baymont for three nights. It was nice for what I paid. The hotel itself was incredibly hot. There was no difference between the heat outside. It was so hot that my glasses fogged up when I would leave my room. The room was nice enough. It had the basics, fridge and microwave. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was friendly. I would not stay for a planned extended period of time. A last minute booking or staying for a night while driving through is comfortable enough. read more

They ripped my wife off while traveling to Oklahoma to visit her Dad in hospice. They advertise, and told my wife, that they would honor the $49 room rate advertised on their site. The only issue was that they needed a credit card to hold the room. I called the hotel and gave them the number and verified with the clerk that she, my wife wanted to pay in cash, not with the card. Needless to say, they overcharged my card $81 dollars the next day before check out. I contacted the hotel and waited 4 days for the "owner" not to call me back. I had called back for 4 days to finally get the owner's phone number. So I called the owner "Komar" at 270-908-0524. He could have not been nastier. He called me a liar after I explained the incident. I contacted the local police to make them aware of the fraud and terrible service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I needed a pet friendly hotel to stay in for 1 night in Paducah Ky. I found this one. I called the Wyndham customer service number and booked it for $89 Friday to Saturday. On Friday evening, I was about an hour away from Paducah so I stopped and called the hotel to make sure everything was still ok. I have booked in the past where they have over booked their hotel, so I always check. The owner Kumar answered and when I asked if he could confirm my reservation he said "NO." I asked him how I could confirm that I am headed to the right place and he said he can't talk, he's booking someone else in. I told him that I was happy to hold or call back and he said, yes, call back in 10 minutes. So I did that. He said I was not booked there. Called Wyndham customer service back and turns out they booked me in Illinois not Paducah, so we cancelled that and rebooked at this hotel. I gave her my credit card number and then our call was dropped before she could confirm we were good, so I called the hotel back and asked Kumar if I the booking went through. He said yes and we hung up. He called right back and said that my booking was not confrimed because my credit card declined. I told him it was probably an error and he just said no and hung up on me. I called the Wyndham CS back and asked the person if they could fix the error (I gave a 6 but it was an 8) and she said she could not change reservations but could cancel for a fee and rebook or call the hotel directly because only they could modify information. So I tried it again. Called the owner, Kumar, and once again he was rude. I told him that I gave the wrong number and asked if he could run it again. He said no, i'm cancelling your reservation. I told him that I just drove 6 hours and did not have another reservation that I needed this. He said no, I reserve the right to refuse service. I asked him why he was doing that and he said i'm sorry, your card declined. Again, I told him that it was a smiple mistake in reading the numbers and he hung up on me. So called the customer service back and booked a different last minute pet friendly hotel for $148. I get into my hotel at 1am and immediately go to sleep. Kumar calls me at 2:30am. I saw his number and clicked ignore. At this point, I didn't want to deal with him anymore. So, HE LITERALLY CALLED BACK one minute later!! I ignored it again and thankfully, he gave up. After reading the reviews about how dirty this place was, I do feel like this was a blessing in disguise. Don't waste your money. They gave us a room without a microwave or tv had to practically beg to get them didn't get them until 3 whole days of being here. No phone inside the room to call the front desk, you gotta go downstairs anytime you need something. Never anyone at the front desk and no way of notifying anyone that you're waiting. Everything inside the room was either broken or dirty. The security lock on the door is broken, I am a young women with a toddler. This did not make me feel safe in any way. Infested with stink bugs and beetles. Key card stopped working had to go downstairs from the third floor and back three separate times carrying a toddler each time because their elevator is broken. They finally switched our room the third night only for them to tell us they actually couldn't switch us. Called corporate and they said we'd hear back in a week. I'm only staying here 5 days unfortunately. Unacceptable. No compensation or refund even partial refund was offered. This is by far the worst inn I have ever stayed at. Plenty of unoccupied rooms (was told this by several staff) so why can't we move? The owner would not allow it for some unknown reason even though it was their fault for not having the promised amenities. I would rate them less than 1but it won't post. I called for a room on June 8th. We were driving from Florida to Missouri and needed 2 rooms because we were exhausted and driving into storms. The guy took all my information repeated back to me a reservation for Sunday night June 9th, I told him no. I told him I needed the rooms for now tonight, Saturday the 8th and he hung up on me. We went to the Red Roof Inn in Paducah and stayed the night. This morning I have charges for 2 rooms at the Baymont. I called the Baymont spoke to a man and told him the mistake. He tells me I don't show up for any reservation at this hotel and when I tell him I show the charges in my checking account he hangs up on me. I called back and no answer. I waited a few minutes called again and he answered, I told him who I was and he hangs up again. I did not get rude with this man. I wasn't upset. I have officially dubbed this place Bates Motel. It was a nightmare from the beginning but it was midnight when we got in and I was too tired to load up and go elsewhere. The lady at the desk was definitely overwhelmed. She had 2 customers come in at the same time and no help. While she acted like she was on something. It could have been sheer exhaustion but hard to tell. She was trying to locate a CLEAN room. I definitely wanted one of those so I was patient. We finally get checked in and up to our room only to find we had ZERO towels or washcloths. I asked for them but never got anything. We decided as long as the beds were clean we would survive the night. The entire place was "old" dirty, meaning that while the surface had been cleaned there were things that had never been touched. On the way down the elevator I noticed that someone had spilled liquid on the floor only to realize that it was blood. We told the staff and the clerks response was "probably a dog in heat". What??? I told the clerk at check out that we had never gotten towels and our experience there was horrifying. I received a blank stare. Maybe didn't know what towels were or even what planet she was on. I can't even begin to talk about this place. The hotel lobby smells like urine and when I got into the room all we could smell was mold. It immediately made our throats and noses burn. I went out to the lobby again to speak with the manager and was greeted by a person who would give me no information at all. He refused to give his own name, the manager's name, the owners name, or corporate's name and contact information. He refused to give us a refund when we said we were not going to stay, he refused to take a look at the room, and he indicated he could care less whether the mold would trigger an asthma attack in me. I found out later that his name is Jonathan (which he likely made up). The toilet tank is cracked (see picture), the shower curtain is filthy (see picture), the grout along the tile in the bathroom is crumbling and coming away from the wall (see picture). There are mysterious stains on the wall near the front sink (see picture) and I'm afraid to even look at the bed. The worst part of all is that they charged us $230 for the thing that they called a hotel room. Yeah. you read it right over $200! I only gave them 1 star bc it wouldn't allow a zero. read more

I just stayed here and at first look it was nice, BUT then you begin to notice the unkempt room. First there were no towels at all, none. Then I noticed the rug was dirty, old shoe print and lint. I washed my hands in the sink and saw a piece of old soap blocking the drain and the counter was dirty. The AC had dust all over the vent, this is like weeks of accumulation. I went downstairs and spoke to the man who checked us in and was attending the desk. I told him there were no towels, he quickly ran off and returned with towels. I then told him I wasn't finished; I told him about the soap in the drain and before I could get out another word he tells me in an abrasive tone "sir if you're not happy with your room I could do two things, put you in another room or refund your money and you can stay somewhere else." I asked him why are you getting so defensive? How do you know there is a problem if no one tells you I'm just pointing out, he interrupted me and said "look sir, if your not happy with the room I can refund your money and you can go somewhere else" This discussion went on for a few minutes, I was not going to repack to try and find another hotel at 6:30pm. Needless to say he never did offer to move us to another room. In the morning I asked to speak to the General Manager and to my surprise not only was the night clerk the GM but the owner as well. I expressed my absolute discontent with how I was treated and the condition of the room. The lady apologized, but could not offer any remedy since I already had spoke to the owner. Trip adviser gave it decent ratings, it must have been employees. We checked in about 9pm. There was a bunch of people hanging out smoking out front. Found out quickly that there was obviously a lot of problems going on. Hubby had a reservation and when he came in they gave him the key to the king room and told him to check it first. What hotel does that? The room had ants and 3 of the 5 lights didn't work. So they gave us a king suite with a sitting area, but it was a smoking room and stunk. It's late, we have two small kids so we took it. On the way to our room a guy was in the hall complaining that they had just moved to their 4th room and that the key wouldn't work and the door had locked them out and the manager couldn't get it fixed and had to call a locksmith to undo their door to get their stuff. In the morning, my husband went to check on breakfast and said they had 1 slice of ham left but they did have eggs. We got the kids dressed and went downstairs. I took the last of the ham, and got the kids the last of the apple juice. I made my plate and the kids plates while my husband found an extra seating area to the side that actually had 4 person tables instead of small round 2 person tables. I walked over to meet him with the plates and the front desk lady got pissed that we weren't sitting in the regular area, I tried to explain that my family was already sitting down and the main tables were 2 seaters (plus people were sitting in most). My husband went to get his plate and he walked in to hear another guy asking for a plate only to be told they were out. I put my food on a napkin and gave him my plate. There was no juice and no cold water at all. I took my credit card to the coke machine to get water and that was sold out. I went to the front desk to let them know they were out of a bunch of stuff. The woman snapped, "I'm just one person." In all honesty, some of that stuff had been out for awhile and she should have concerned herself with that instead of where we sat. Breakfast quality in general--they had eggs which was a nice surprise and then they had waffles, old biscuits that looked like they may have been frozen at one time. They had no fruit, no pastries and one cereal. Hotel in general--the hall on the third floor and some other common areas had serious AC issues and were hot! They do allow smoking in the hotel so some rooms stink. The carpet looked like it was new, but everything else (except the bedding and tv) in the room was dated. The only reason I stayed here was because of the cheap rate and its pet friendly. The rooms are pretty large. On a side note, if you're traveling with your pooch in this city you need a muzzle. Not a pet friendly city at all! Leash Ordinances Sec. 14-32. Dogs permitted at special community events; restrictions. (a) No person shall bring a dog into an area designated for special community events during the times such events are occurring unless the dog is: (1) Licensed by McCracken County Animal Control or by any other state or county. Comfort Inn price for a Motel 6 / Americas Best Value ambiance. (Posting this for the benefit of other travelers, will be objective.) The hotel is clean with well kept rooms, but dated. Carpet in room stained, old, plastic prefab shower/tub so old that has become discolored & pocked with wear spots that seem to suggest it might be ready to leak. Very old (10 years plus) generic CRT type TV , no flat screen TV. I really like the pool. Definitely the high point of this property. It is in a large, glass enclosed atrium which is in full view of the front desk. Because of this, the pool is open 24 hours. If your kids think you stop at hotels so they can swim, they will love this one. Breakfast is included, but was quite a disappointment. (I booked primarily for the breakfast - I should have paid $20 less and taken something else.) Breakfast fare includes instant packet oatmeal with the only water available coming from a side spigot on the otherwise unused coffee maker, (you microwave it in an old, turn-the-dial style microwave), lukewarm coffee from an air pot with non-dairy creamer peel-n-serve cups, black bananas, previously frozen waffles stored in a plastic container that you warm in a toaster. The donuts & bagels also looked suspiciously like they were served from a frozen box, aka school lunch quality. A local stop at the convenience store would have been fresher. No wonder I was the only one eating breakfast that day. At a minimum, one would think that fresh hot coffee, fresh fruit and fresh, non-frozen pastries should be easy to do. Property is located next to Harrah's Casino. If you come here with the intention to gamble it might be a less expensive option, but definitely don't go out of your way for this one. Wyndam Hotels owns this chain, they could definitely afford to either update it or sell it to the America's Best Value folks. read more

No amentities in the room, missing 4 of 7 lightbulbs and handle on toilet broken. Towels were very bare threaded and over used. Only one lamp in whole room making it very dark and unable to read. We arrived here and received a warm and pleasant greeting from the owner, Mr. Kumar. We appreciated his kindness, and he made us feel welcome . The lobby area was very attractive with beautiful furniture. The hallway floors were very clean, shiny, and had lovely upscale designs. Upon entering our room, we loved the clean fresh smell. Nasty, outdated hotel. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this location. Really bad hotel. Checked in at 3:50 pm and go to room...they are just starting to clean it. Go to get some ice for my water...one ice machine for 3 floors and its broken. There is a small freezer with bags of ice to break into and scoop out ice. There is a sign place by management at the front desk to ONLY use front entrance. I wondered why, so I parked in the back side of hotel and noticed the electric key scanner is missing, and appeared to be out of service for a long time. Anyone can walk right in. Other secondary entrances were the same...didnt work. Going from 1st to second floor via the stairs it smelled of mold and other funk and appeared to not have been cleaned in years. 2nd floor hall window A/C not working and had the window open. Outside the landscaping hasnt been touched in months...all shrubbery was over grown and not kept up with. Outdated decor thru out the place. I got up early around 4am to get out of this dump so did not have access to the breakfast as it starts at 7a on Saturdays, but I did get to hear some woman thru the paper thin walls moaning loudly as I walked down the hall....so I suspect she had a good time there. DO NOT believe the higher rated reviews...this place is a dump. Today I found out that the hotel doubled charged me for one nights stay...so now I have that to deal with. He is a new owner of this location, they're still trying to get the hotel up to high standards, it's a work in progress. You definitely get what you pay for. As soon as you enter the hotel you smell must and it's noticeably humid. Rooms are also hot, humid, and have a gross musty smell which must be from mold on the walls. Noticed a window was broken and the AC hardly worked. They charged us on our credit card two weeks before we got there.The bedspreads had burn holes, the sheets had blood stains, The carpets were buckled and worn.There was no hot water in the morning. Stayed during quilt week . I had my reservation since January. I called to confirm all was good. When I got to the hotel the manager or owner said 1 of my 2 rooms was cancelled. No one cancelled it. He gave it away. I might add both rooms were paid in full since January. Unkept rooms never changed the sheets. Old thread bare towels . Breakfast was horrible. Never again read more

Worst experience with a hotel and that's saying a lot. Booked 2 nights in December for a stay in August. Needed to drop it down to 1 night and called the desk. Their website stated they allowed changes in bookings up to the day off or before. This was 4 days in advance. They said we had to talk to the booking website and was very rude about it. Talked to the booking website who said they would call and tell them they had to change it. The hotel staff told them that they didn't have to change anything...with attitude. Days later and many phone calls, it was finally resolved. Arrived to check in and they said they didn't have a reservation for me. Guy was extremely rude about it and started acting as if I was getting irrate and being very pissy about it. Then miraculously found my reservation but said our card was declined. They weren't supposed to charge our card until we arrived. The card we made the booking with was lost a few months back and I'm glad it was or they would have charged us before we arrived. So he gave us attitude about that as well. We were inconveniencing him after all! Got it all handled and went out to get my things. Coming back through the lobby, he made a point to say, "Enjoy your stay tonight" with the most horribly rude tone I've ever heard from a disgruntled customer service employee. The building is falling apart, blatantly rude staff, appalling experience. Never stay here. read more

This place is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in ever. Dirty smelly run down rooms. Worn out stained linens & towels. Peeling wall paper, rooms phones do not work & desk light broken too. Air conditioning unit was extremely loud kept us awake all night. The staff, when you can find someone, are useless & rude. They couldn't pay me to stay there again. read more
