When you invite someone into your home to make major alterations, the most important factor is trust/integrity/honesty. Ted Bayouth is excellent as a general contractor because his word is his bond, and he keeps his promises. The second most crucial factor is the skill level/kindness/cleanliness of the subcontractors, and Ted Bayouth hires only the best. Victor on tile, Jose on floors, Bruce on plumbing, and Oscar on painting ... all top notch guys. Remodeling will take longer than expected ... especially when specialty doors and windows and faucets need to be ordered. But trust/great subs make up for the unwanted delays. We've heard so many horror stories of contractors stealing deposits, floors buckling due to no vapor barrier, etc ... but we have had no such concerns with the Bayouth Construction team. read more

Bayouth Construction just finished a beautiful remodel of my kitchen after it was damaged by a slab/plumbing leak. I called Ted after finding his business on Yelp, and he was very prompt in coming over to provide a bid. He & Jerrod were very thorough in their assessment & were also very helpful working with me & my insurance company to get my claim settled fairly. The amount of high-quality work that was done in just over a month is staggering. They put in new cabinets & a pantry, removed the existing soffit to raise the ceiling height, installed LED recessed lighting, lowered & extended my bar/counter area, installed quartz counters, repaired drywall, painted, etc. The list goes on & on. I am ridiculously happy with the results of their work. The kitchen looks fantastic, and the Bayouth team was a pleasure to deal with. They were responsive, consistent & prompt. Bayouth did a remodel years ago and while getting ready to move we redid our front deck only to find in the crawl space under the porch 12 rusted paint cans which leeched into my ground soil and some still had paint in them which is now on my cement walkway. There was also 4 -5 gallon buckets and bags of cement and grout that was hardened and VERY hard to drag out from underneath the porch. Very dismayed to have paid for a job, while not knowing it was also going to be a dumping ground. read more

I had our kitchen area renovated two months ago. The project actually involved a few rooms, including kitchen, dining, laundry, and toilet. My husband and I started interviewing general contractors since June and could not find the right one until we met Ted, the owner of Bayouth Construction. The job has been done as well as we expected. It has been a great experience dealing with Bayouth. Ted is very nice, patient, and knowledgeable. He gave us reasonable estimate and time frame. He listened to our concerns and vision of our kitchen remodel and was very responsive to questions we had along the way. Jarrod is our project manager. He took care of on-site stuffs, including coordination with cabinet contractor. From the beginning to the end he has been easy to get in touch and always on time. He responded quickly whenever I e-mailed or texted him questions. He stayed one step ahead of the process so that things ran smoothly and explained the ins and outs of the construction process so that we could make mutually beneficial decisions together. The workers from Bayouth Construction are all experts in their fields from dry-wall to plumbing to electric to appliance installation to tiling. Particularly, tile man Alvaro and his workers are very skillful and diligent. They provided us with high quality work in flooring, counter top, and back splash. There is one more thing that I'd like to mention. The project was originally scheduled to be done one week before I left US to work overseas. When the project went on half-way, it was about 2 weeks behind the schedule due to another contractor's delay. But Jarrod and his team tried their best to help me and another contractor. We recently had a total kitchen remodel done by Ted and the Bayouth Construction team. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work that was done, the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism of the team. Ted is a very hands-on manager and was involved from the design and quoting, through all phases of the work, and handling any issues that came up. Any time we had a question or concern he was there to provide an answer or explain the process. Our home is over 50 years old and was in need of a complete kitchen renovation. Ted conducted a survey, we developed a design, and Ted quickly created a project plan with a reasonable price. It was an extensive project that included removing walls and doors, custom cabinetry, new appliances and granite countertops, flooring, paint, electrical, plumbing and lighting. There were a couple of minor surprises along the way and this was to be expected of a house this age and a project this large. Ted explained our options, revised his plans, and the work continued with only minor interruptions. Jarrod Bayouth was the project manager and was excellent at scheduling the different teams of craftsmen and keeping the project moving. The right people showed up at the right time and in the right order to complete the project faster than we ever expected. Jarrod was available to us day and night to answer any questions that we had. The teams of craftsmen provided excellent work with every detail taken care of. They were on time, constantly cleaned up after themselves, and were professional and courteous. I only gave five stars because they don't allow you to give more. From the first contact to the completion of your entire project, you can't go wrong using Bayouth Construction. It was clear from the start that Ted listens to the customer. I initially sent a very detailed list of what needed to be done; most of the 7 competing companies ignored the list and just wanted to walk the property. Ted clearly went through the list and found other areas that needed to be addressed. Bayouth gave a detailed cost breakout and definitely a very reasonable price for the work in a timely fashion. When there were change orders, they addressed them by providing the scope of work and estimated costs before starting so that we as the customer would be part of the decision for scope and cost. Honesty and Integrity are clearly in the culture of this company. Every concern we had was addressed in a timely manner and with expert advice. The entire condo needed upgrading. Ted and Jarrod's personal work ethic and attention to detail, much like it was their own home, produced a beautiful remodel. They stepped up by providing expert assistance in selecting cabinets, flooring and bathroom fixtures. I just cannot say enough about how fortunate we were to find this company to perform the work that was needed. The condo had not been touched since 1993 and now it's beautiful and modern looking and I can truly say worth every dollar we spent. Having extensively remodeled two homes previously, we have had a lot of experience with contractors. Unfortunately our experiences were not good and we were prepared to be disappointed this time around. Water damage in our home necessitated a complete new kitchen, flooring throughout most of the house and painting. Our insurance company assigned a general contractor who they work with regularly, but we felt that he was a little shady. After reading the positive reviews on Yelp, we contacted Bayouth Construction and found that all the good things customers said about Ted and his company were right on.
