Removal of bathtub install walking shower. Two bathrooms I reached out to Rabin General Construction when the other person I had done business with was difficult to get a hold of. Even after others quoted, extremely difficult to reach. I will be the first to admit that my standards are quite high and I was reluctant in trying someone new I had not either been referred to or had a previous experience with. But I decided to give Richard a call for a quote. Within minutes he reached out to me and we set up an onsite appointment to review the scope of work. From the moment I met Richard I was convinced that he ran an honest, quality company. He was thorough in his expansions, timely on his quote and extremely forthcoming with suggestions and ideas without challenging or changing the ideas he had in mind. His quote presentation for lack of a better word was top notch. We were scared that his quote would be out of the ball park. It was not. It was right in line with the other quotes we received with what we felt would be a top notch job. We signed the contract and scheduled ourselves 2 months out. Before the job Richard gave us homework of what we needed to do and get. He gave us outstanding local recommendations while still allowing the freedom to go where we wanted if we wanted. His places of business he recommended were outstanding and spoke of Richard as second to none. They were all 100% right. The job was started the day he said it would. He introduced his crew to us, explained in detail the process of what would happen each step of the way. His crew was nothing short of phenomenal. They started each day within minutes of 8:00am and wrapped up each up each day after 4:00 but before 5:00. Never ever was there a day of gap. No others jobs squeezed in. We were the focus from start to finish. Did I mention he finished the job exactly within the timeline of the scope of work regardless of our minor tweaks and add ons along the way. Everyday when his crew left the house, yard, courtyard and anything they were in contact with was spotless. Actually cleaner than they found it. They always made sure to communicate that they were leaving to ensure the home was secure. His crew was polite and considerate of our dogs and our working remote arrangements . I cannot say enough good things about the crew. Extremely polite and always wanting and doing the best job with a pride of workmanship exuding from these folks. Richard is responsive. Hours do not go by without a returned phone call, just minutes. Even when there were some hic-ups which there always is when you are busting open walls. Everything was explained in great detail where even I could understand. One minor change we did involved removing a large section of drywall. Made me extremely nervous especially when I saw the piece just put back. I already had in mind and picked out a huge picture to cover that space. I pointed out to the lead dude about my concerns and he sort of chuckled and said not to worry. After their multiple levels of layers to repair the wall I honestly cannot see any witness marks of a 3 foot by 2 foot hole in my wall. As if there never was an intrusion. I can be quick to complain and almost difficult to please, but the only complain I have is that I do not have another project lined up with him to work on. Because working with him and his crew has by far been the most rewarding experience I have ever had in working with a contractor. I'm a little late getting to the review of RG Contracting, Richard Rabin's company, who remodeled our main floor bathroom in October '24. Richard came out, measured and discussed the project and then provided an estimate for labor. We were responsible for purchasing the materials. The work included tearing out the old bathtub, tile, and fixtures. We had a newer toilet, so we kept it. He graciously picked up our the new materials at Floor and Decor because we didn't have a truck, all we had to do was make room in the garage for the tile and fixtures. The crew came to our house promptly at 8 am each day and worked hard. The bathroom is beautiful and the work is well done. I hope to use this company again for my next bathroom. Renovated my condo last spring before I bought it. His team installed the L bracket in my upstairs bathroom the wrong way, which in turn caused a bunch of water damage and mold. Cost just over $500 to repair. Reached out to the owner and he said he would compensate me but to wait a couple of months. It's been over 6 months and still nothing. I've called him and texted him recently and he said if I provided him with the invoice and check( both of which I provided to him)he would compensate me for the damages. Still nothing from them in terms of compensation and I've find a plethora of other things that are big issues that they over looked or half assed.
